"That’s about everything that happened, I’m pretty sure I didn’t miss anything. So, any questions?" I inquired, as I chomped down on a burger, while petting Dot, who Neo had brought here as well, which I’m super grateful for.
Even in his weakened and half-conscious state, he didn’t overlook her.
"What are we supposed to now?" Responded Zoraiz with a sigh, after a brief, grim silence.
"Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. There’s no telling what Liling might do...we’ve set up an Anti-Teleportation Field around this place, but she could still show up outside the barrier if she wants to target us, and if she brings the rest of her underlings with her, it won’t be an easy fight," Frowned Inoka warily.
"The unpredictability of it all is the worst part...she could either ally with Hell or with us, and you just know she’s going to betray whichever side she joins in the end," Added Alexis with a grimace.
"Hm, that does sound like her, but...I doubt the Demons would be willing to join forces with her, she did kill their leader, after all. So maybe she’ll try to ally with us instead," Pointed out Fenris.
"We should definitely reject her if she tries, there’s no question that the ’plot twist’ will be that she betrays us in the end," Frowned Kiyana apprehensively.
"There’s also the possibility that she won’t ally with anyone, and it’ll be three way war between us, the Demons and Chaos...four if and when Heaven intervenes, though they probably won’t attack us, but still," Sighed X, as she paced around the room.
"If we go through posts on social media, we should be able to determine the approximate locations of the places where the Demons currently are. Neo said that he transported them all to deserted areas, but considering how fast they can move, most of them have probably made it back to populated areas and have continued rampaging, especially since they’re probably furious over the fact that Satan is dead," Remarked Inoka grimly.
"Uh, speaking of social media...there’s a new video on Anarchy’s page," Chimed in Adelmira, as she tapped on her phone.
"Really don’t want to watch it because it’s bound to be something that’s made the situation worse, but not watching it won’t change reality, so let’s take a look," Sighed Alexis wearily.
"I can use my Magic to project the screen as a bigger display, like a projector," Offered Serafine, before a large, hologram-like display of Adelmira’s screen appeared in the air.
"Okay, I’m playing it now...," Gulped Adelmira with a look of dread, as she began playing the video.
"Hi, everyone! It’s been a while, huh? I haven’t had anything worthwhile to post for some time, but that’s changed...I’m sure you’ve noticed my new look, pretty cool, isn’t it?" Grinned the recorded Liling, spinning around to show off her wings.
"I mean, I guess it does look kinda cool, really suits her," Shrugged Inoka wryly, grinning sheepishly as Kiyana gave him a narrowed, exasperated side glance.
"I’m sure you’re all wondering what this is about...well, wonder no further, because here’s the deets! I’ve thought long and hard about what I should do, should I join up with the people to fight the Demons, or should I ally with the Demons and help them subjugate this world?
But of course, a genuine alliance isn’t my style, there’s gonna have to be a betrayal in the end. Unfortunately, that might be kinda predictable, and that’s not the way I want to go.
So, instead, here’s what I’ve decided...I’m just gonna stay put, right here. As for where ’here’ is, well, I’ve included a link in this post with the location of this area. Anyone who wants to kill me, come on over!
All challengers are welcome, and if you defeat me, you win a prize! Of course, defeating me will mean killing me, so I won’t exactly be in a position to offer said prize if that happens...so, you can decide what you want the prize to be.
Maybe the satisfaction of killing me is all you need. Or maybe you wanna do stuff to my body, eh? Heh, by all means, go for it...I mean, if I’m dead, it’s not like I’ll be able to stop you! Hahaha...well, that’s about all I have to say.
Oh, and I’ve already had one challenger come knocking, the Demon Sin of Wrath, Fallen Angel Belial. Emphasis on Fallen, cuz he dead. I’d like to show proof of it, but I can’t since Demons disintegrate when killed. But hey, don’t let that discourage you! I’ll be waiting!" She waved with a cheerful grin, before the video ended.
We were all silent for a moment, processing what we’d just watched. It really was just like her to post a video like that...still though, her deciding to not ally with any side and just stay put might not be such a bad outcome.
"If she really doesn’t intend on joining either side or even going around to attack anyone, well...maybe we should just leave her alone for now and focus on the Demons instead?" Suggested Leonardo, breaking the silence.
"I was thinking the same thing, we should use this opportunity to subdue the invasion, while Chaos isn’t an immediate concern," I nodded in agreement.
"But won’t things just go the same as before?" Pointed out Elise with a frown.
"Yeah, we’re still not fully recovered from the battles we were fighting before Neo saved us, I doubt it’ll go too much differently this time around," Added Kiyana with a frown.
"I have an idea, though it won’t work without Neo. First, we try to locate the remaining Demons of Sin and the Fiends using social media. Once that’s done, we decide on which of us would be the right match for each of them, and we’ll mostly be joining up into small groups of two or three.
Next, Neo pinpoints their locations with his portals after we narrow it down with social media, and transports each agreed upon match up and the corresponding Demon to isolated areas that’ll give us some advantage.
Someone will have to stay behind with Neo, given his current weakened state. If we all manage to eliminate the Demons of Sin and the Fiends, the remaining Demons won’t have any proper leadership to rely on.
Of course, their sheer numbers would mean that eliminating them all would still be a heavy undertaking, but that said, losing their strongest members should still be a highly effective blow, especially since they’re probably still reeling from the death of Satan," Surmised Inoka, as he concluded the explanation of his plan.
"Huh...yeah, I think that sounds pretty good. The Elemental Deities said that they were going to hunt down the Demons and Devils, but they’ll likely just target quantity over quality...we could ask Neo to send them with us to fight the Demons of Sin and Fiends as well, provided we can find the Deities, that is," I suggested with a nod.
"That’ll definitely improve our odds greatly, and as for the rest of the Demons and Devils, maybe we could just leave them to Heaven to deal with, whenever they end up coming down to the living world," Chimed in Alexis.
"But we have no idea when that’ll be, it could be days before they intervene, and who knows how much damage will have been done by then?" Countered Zoraiz objectively.
"Well, we can decide on how to handle the rest after we take out their big guns, can’t we? There’s no need to plan too far ahead, let’s focus on the immediate matter at hand for now," Suggested Fenris with a shrug.
"I agree. Fighting against the strongest Demons will be no easy feat, it’s best that we only focus on that and avoid having too much to think about in our minds. The smallest distraction could be fatal against them," Agreed Leonardo with a nod. freeweɓnøvel.com
"When will we be launching this attack plan?" Inquired Elise curiously.
"There’s no point in rushing it, we’ll all need to be rested and recovered before we attack. I could probably handle myself just fine even if I’m not at a hundred percent, but the rest of you shouldn’t take any chances," I stated bluntly.
"I agree, plus it’ll give Neo more time to rest as well. He struggled a bit to open just one portal earlier, so we’ll need him to recover his strength enough to pull this off. I’ll go let him know about the plan and ask him if he’ll be able to do it. After all, if it’s not possible for him while weakened like this, then the whole plan is moot," Surmised Inoka, as he headed towards the room where Neo was resting in.
"We should all probably go get some rest ourselves, for at least a few hours. Make sure to eat and drink as well, without overdoing it, of course," Leonardo advised everyone.
"We’re not kids, you know," Grinned Zoraiz wryly.
"Some rest does sound pretty good," Sighed Adelmira as she stifled a yawn.
"Yeah, I think I could use some sleep too," Nodded Fenris in agreement. frёewebnoѵēl.com
Mhm, me too...the time I spent in Hell really wore me out, I’m pretty drained both emotionally and physically. Time for a nap...
