Chapter 250: Chapter 249 - Invasion(Part 15)
Point-of-View: Serafine

"They’re all probably gonna die, huh? Too bad, they were nice people. Oh, well, it is what it is," I muttered to myself, as I flew through the air.
I was using my Magic to make myself invisible, since there were plenty of Devils and Demons all over the place. A lot of them had headed back to the Harmony base after they killed the Demon of Sin, but there’s still quite a lot of them scattered about.
Alright, then, time to find a safe hiding spot to lay low in until this war blows over. I have no intention of-...huh? What the...!?
Suddenly, a portal opened around me and began to swallow me up, closing too quickly for me to get away from it, and in the blink of an eye, I found myself in a different place.
Oh, no...you’ve got to be kidding me. That bastard, the Deity Laplace, this has to have been his doing! I’ve never even met that piece of shit, so why’s he screwing with me!? Damn it, this is the worst case scenario, I have no clue where the hell I am!
Well, at the very least, I know this much...this area is pretty heavily Infested with Devils and Demons too. Okay, it’s fine, I’m still invisible, and since Witches don’t have Auras, I’m not easy to detect if I can’t be seen.
Let’s just slowly get away from here and find a hiding spot, just because I’m in a different area, probably a different country even, doesn’t mean that my plans have changed.
Tch, but there’s also a chance that Laplace will portal me again after I hide myself. Just the thought of that very real possibility is pissing me off. Nice and easy, let’s make our way out of this area and-...
"Woah, what the-...!? Huh? What did I just bump into?" Suddenly came a voice right near me...as a Demon got portaled next to me and bumped onto my back.
Well, shit. I began to fly away in alarm, right before the Demon reached out and grabbed my ankle, likely having felt the change in the air currents as I moved...crap, I panicked, I should’ve moved away more slowly.
"This isn’t a great situation I’ve gotten into, is it?" I sighed wryly, as I turned myself tangible.
"A Witch? I did not expect to encounter one of your kind...no matter, Witches are powerful and a definite threat to us, we have been instructed to eliminate any that we encounter," Remarked the Demon, before letting go of my leg as I fired out a lightning bolt at her.
She flew back to evade it, narrowing her eyes at me. She’s not a Demon of Sin, but she’s still pretty powerful, that was an impressive reaction time. Tch, and there’s another Demon flying up here as well.
The one who’d bumped into me had long, straight fiery red hair, green eyes, a small horn under each eye, bat-like black wings and a long, snaking tail. She wore a long black coat that went down past her knees over a white top, along with light brown trousers and a belt around her waist with two guns strapped to it.
And the other one had messy, long raven black hair, black eyes, curved horns on either side of her head, and the same wings and tail. She wore a dark brown coat over a white top and trousers, with red sash tied around her waist, the ends of the sash hanging down by her right hip.
I wonder what’s with the pirate theme that the two of them are sporting? Were they pirates in life before dying and being resurrected as Demons? Guess it doesn’t matter, I have to figure out how to go about defeating them.
"This is really bad," I muttered to myself warily, as they flew across to either side of me.
This is gonna be a real uphill battle, isn’t it? Yeah, I’m definitely at a disadvantage here, no doubt about that...

"Come on, is that the best you’ve got?" I taunted, as I evaded his strikes and then countered with a swift kick to the midsection, my foot slamming onto him and sending him stumbling back with a sharp wheeze, before coughing out blood.
"Y-you bastard...," He gasped weakly, a slightly dazed look in his eyes.
Most of the Devils have already disintegrated, unable to bear the damage inflicted by the light energy I’ve been constantly releasing all around me. The few Devils who are still alive are on the verge of death.
As for the Demons, they’re not faring too much better...none of them have died solely from my light energy poisoning, but they can barely move. Asmodeus is the only one who’s still able to put up a fight, but...I’ve weakened him to the point where he’s now about on par with the average Category 1.
"Gotta say, you make for quite a sight. The Demon Sin of Lust, Asmodeus...just look at you now, barely on your feet, in absolute agony from just a single kick from a human. Tell me, how do you feel right now?" I inquired with a smirk, as I approached him. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
"I...I’ll kill you!" He snapped viciously, as he flew up and swooped down towards me with black flames charged up.
He drove the flames towards my chest as he closed in on me, which I shuffled across to evade before slamming my fist onto his midsection, the same spot I’d kicked him before, my fist infused with light energy and infecting his body upon contact.
He isn’t healing nearly as fast as a Demon normally does...this should be pretty damn easy. I then grabbed his ankle and swung him down to the ground with all my strength, eliciting a sharp, pained gasp from him as his back slammed onto the ground, cracks spreading out on the concrete upon impact.
"So, tell me, having any regrets about this invasion? I mean, I know I would if I were in your position now. Well, come on...answer me!" I exclaimed, as I slammed my foot onto his chest, a cracking sound echoing out as I broke his ribs.
He let out a stifled hiss of pain as a trickle of blood ran down the corner of his mouth, before gasping in agony as I slammed my foot down on his chest again, coughing out blood with a strained wheeze, before I drove my heel down towards his face.
I broke his nose as I crashed my heel down onto his face, blood gushing out of it as I broke off a few of his front teeth as well, before letting out a sigh as I decided to wrap it up. freewebnσvel.cøm
"You’re not getting away this time," I remarked icily, as I placed my palm onto his chest, "And I’ll make sure it’s as painful as possible for you, your death is going to be excruciating."
"N-no, wait, stop-....arghhhh!" He screamed in agony, as I had his bones burst out into spikes inside his body, piercing his organs while I extended out a bone spike of my own from my palm and into his chest, injecting him with light energy.
"This is war, a war that your side started. You’ve been doing plenty of killing since coming here, haven’t you? So you really should’ve been prepared to be killed yourself. You may have been twice as powerful as you were the last time I encountered you, but...I’ve gotten a hell of a lot better at weakening your kind.
Well, not that you don’t know, having experienced it firsthand. Hurts, doesn’t it?" I smiled down at him coldly, as he began writhing in pain, letting out gasps and whimpers as I continued to wreck his body from the inside, until finally..., "Ah, there we go. I finally hit your core."
"N-no...no, no, no, I...I don’t want to die!" He cried in despair, as his body began disintegrating and turning to ash.
"Oh, that’s a shame. Because, you know...you’re dying," I responded dryly, as he fully disintegrated.
Alright, now, then...there’s plenty more Demons to kill, and with how immensely weakened they are, they’re basically sitting ducks. I walked over and began killing them one by one, using their own bones to destroy their cores.
Gotta say, even with Lux’s training, I never imagined taking down a Demon of Sin would be this freaking easy. Damn, am I glad that I have the Light Skill, I couldn’t have pulled this off if any of the other Meta-Orbs had crash landed in my apartment that day.
Right as I finished killing the last of the Demons in this area, I grimaced as several breaches suddenly appeared in the air all around me, dozens of Demons spilling out of them and surrounding me, more and more showing up by the second.
"Damn, there’s gotta be at least a thousand of you bastards...so, since quality couldn’t hack it, you’re doing for quantity, huh? Fine by me...bring in on, I’ll gladly kill every last one of you!" I yelled out at them with a grin.
Yeah, I’m totally bluffing. These numbers are kinda alarming, I might be in a bit of trouble here...
