Chapter 246: Chapter 245 - Invasion(Part 11)

Point-of-View: Alexis Tucker

———————————————————————————

"I am Fiend Iota of the Thirteen Fiends, Blackbeard, also known as Edward Teach. Our Devils suffered several casualties in this area, are you the one responsible?" Inquired the Demon.

"And what if I am? What are you gonna do about it?" I responded warily, taking a step back.

Wasn’t Blackbeard a fictional pirate or something? Or wait, was he a real person? Because this guy sure does look like a pirate. He had long unruly black hair that went down past his shoulders, light blue eyes, a long black beard that went halfway down his torso and was braided at the end.

He had a small horn between his eyebrows, a long tail with a hook at the end of it and bat-like black wings. He wore a dark blue coat over a white shirt and dark brown coarse leather trousers, with black boots on his feet.

He also had a pirate’s hat on his head to complete the look, along with a belt that had a sword and a gun attached to it. There’s a ton of other Demons and Devils behind him, the few people who had still been in this area were starting to run away.

I grimaced as some of the Demons eyed the fleeing people sadistically, maxing out Reflex Shock and Electric Coat. I’d just finished killing most of the Devils a few minutes ago, before the few that were left suddenly retreated.

And then, another breach opened up and this much larger, and way more powerful, group showed up. Fighting all of them is an alarming prospect, they can easily overwhelm me with their sheer numbers.

"All of you, scatter and destroy this place. And do not forget Lord Satan’s orders to spare any weak humans who surrender to us. However, killing a few should do no harm, so have a bit of fun," Smirked Blackbeard, before the weaker Demons and Devils spread out and scattered throughout the city, screams ringing out before too long.

"You bastard...you really think you can take me on alone? Don’t underestimate me," I growled, as the air around me crackled violently.

"You think too highly of yourself, human girl," He scoffed in response, before firing out a powerful blast of water at me.

I swiftly flew up and countered with a sharp, rapid lightning bolt straight at him. As he turned across to evade, it struck the side of his right arm, before I zipped down towards him at top speed, closing in rapidly.

His wings spread open as he drew out his sword with his right hand and grabbed his gun with his left hand, firing a shot at me, a rapid projectile of dark energy.

I quickly tilted my head across to narrowly avoid the projectile, which grazed a few strands of my hair as it shot past the right side of my face, before he swung his sword at my neck.

I fired out a lightning blast from my mouth at his hand, hitting it with a vicious crackle and causing him to drop his sword with a grimace, before I drove my right foot straight at his midsection.

Right before I could hit my mark, he suddenly grabbed my foot with an icy look in his eyes, ignoring as his hand got electrified and began smoking a bit.

"Don’t get cocky, bitch!" He snapped, as he tightened his grip and swung me away with immense force, sending me rapidly flying through the air and shooting towards a building at an alarming speed.

I gritted my teeth as I desperately tried to manipulate the electricity around myself to slow down as quickly as possible, the momentum decreasing as I did, before my back bumped onto a pane of glass, a slight crack appearing on it upon impact, but the damage to me was minimal.

That was way too close, that would’ve been really bad if I’d crashed at full force. As I regained my bearings and hovered in the air, I grimaced as he appeared above me, staring down condescendingly.

"Is that the best you’ve got? I guess you’re not as tough as you think you are, Eddie," I remarked with a smirk, as I stared up at him defiantly.

"I will make you eat those words, wench. Behold my Unique Technique...Queen Anne’s Revenge!" He exclaimed triumphantly, before a huge mass of dark energy manifested around him, slowly taking the shape of a large pirate ship.

A menacing black sail with a white skull appeared on top of it, as about a dozen cannons took aim in my direction. And he was inside in somewhere, I don’t see him...this power works as both a strong offense and defense. Well, shit, that doesn’t look good...I might be in a bit of trouble here...

"Hey, is it not a bit wasteful to send both a Demon of Sin and a Fiend to such a deserted place, Mammon?" Frowned the Demon with the second largest Aura among this group.

Mammon, I’ve heard that name, that’s one of the Demons of Sin...well, I already figured as much by the intensity of his Aura. But that other Demon, his appearance...there’s no mistaking such a diabolically iconic look.

"Yes, I certainly would have preferred to attack an area more abundant in...anything. However, most of the Devil advance team that came to this area were killed, and by just two humans apparently. They could be strong, so be on your guard. Are you fully recovered yet, Alpha?" Inquired Mammon, the Demon of Sin.

I think he’s the Demon Sin of Greed. He’s, uh, quite a sight. He had shortish green hair, was about average height and on the fat side and had red eyes. He had two rows of six short horns, one on either side of head, bat-like black wings, and short and thick tail.

He was wearing a black tracksuit with white stripes, with the top unzipped over a white t-shirt. He had gold chains around his neck and wrists, and a bunch of tacky, sparkly rings on every one of his fingers.

"Nein, I am still not at my best...that human woman with the daggers and needles, whatever her weapons were coated with inflicted substantial damage to me," The Other Demon frowned in response.

He had short black hair combed to the right side, that notorious short mustache, and a horn straight up from middle of his head. He had bat-like black wings and his tail...had a certain symbol at the end of it.

He was wearing a military uniform with a red armband that had the same symbol as the end of his tail. Yeah, no matter what way you slice it, there’s only one answer...that’s Adolf fucking Hitler, as a goddamn Demon.

Makes sense that Satan would resurrect someone like him as a Demon, he’s literally one of the worst people in history. We’re way outnumbered, and while they haven’t noticed us just yet, it’ll only be a matter of time if they start searching the area for us.

"Hey, the woman they mentioned, could it be X?" Whispered Adelmira with a worried look on her face. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

"Hm? Oh, now that you mention it...needles and daggers do sound like her MO," I replied, as it clicked.

"Did she fight them? Is she okay?" She muttered with a look of concern.

"I’m sure she’s fine, she wouldn’t die that easily," I replied as I placed a hand on her shoulder.

I hope I’m right about that...if I’m being honest, the odds of her being alive seem slim if she really fought these Demons, especially if it was more than one of them.

But I don’t have the luxury of worrying about her right now...the Demons and Devils are spreading out, some heading away from the village in the direction away from the desert, probably looking for more settlements.

This isn’t too bad for us, there are still about thirty of them still here, searching the area, but that’s less than half the total number of their group. We’re still at a disadvantage, but it’s not as overwhelming as before.

"Okay, I think we’re gonna have to go on the attack soon. We might as well use the element of surprise while we still have it," I remarked warily.

"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. There’s a Demon headed this way, let’s go a bit more inside the house and then kill it once it’s in and out of sight of the other Demons," She suggested in response.

"Sounds good to me. Let’s go for it," I replied in agreement, after taking a moment to mull it over.

I have no intention of dying out in the middle of nowhere, I’ll fight my way out of this no matter what...
