Chapter 118: Chapter 117 - Dracula vs Harmony Outliers(Part 3)
Point-of-View: Inoka Fonseka
———————————————————————————
"Over there, I hear something!" Exclaimed Alexis, as she pointed down a corridor.
And as we headed down there, a cold breeze hit us, and it wasn’t long before we found the cause...there was a big-ass hole in the wall, with snow and cold air flowing in.
And from outside the opening, the sounds of battle were echoing out, crashes and loud thuds. We got to the hole and peered out, to see Aurora fighting Dracula on the snow below, right as she grabbed hold of him and slammed him onto the side of a cliff.
But he was fine, flying up without a scratch on him...his clothes were in absolute tatters though. It’s not like he can repair his outfit like he heals his body, after all.
He then swooped down at Aurora, rapidly spinning as he closed in on her and swung his foot down at her like a whip, as she quickly raised and crossed her arms above herself, her shadowy shroud darkening around her arms as she did.
As Dracula’s foot slammed onto her crossed arms with immense force, a shockwave burst out upon impact, the snow all around them getting kicked up into a blizzard-like snow cloud.
Aurora then sprang back while firing out small but rapid Negative Blasts, as Dracula fired out projectiles of blood to cancel them out, before rapidly chasing after her.
I could just barely follow their movements, and if I lost focus, I’d completely lose sight of them. Zoraiz and Alexis are probably faring a bit better, since both their respective Skills let them boost their vision.
Several spikes then burst out towards Aurora as she rapidly evaded and dodged, before leaping up as a massive, drill-like mass of blood came tearing towards her.
The moment she jumped up, Dracula zipped towards her through the air and slammed his foot onto her midsection, severely damaging her Shadow Cat around that spot as she got sent flying back and crashed onto a large rock.
The damaged part of her shroud quickly repaired itself, but Dracula had already closed in on her, before a dense black mist burst out from her and she shot out of the black cloud a second later, trying to get some distance.
That’s probably just a harmless mist, since Vampires are immune to the negative effects of Dark Skill techniques to begin with. It’s not only physical damage they can recover from, but also the more poisonous-type or debilitating damage. Techniques like Memory Manipulation and Compel have no effect on them whatsoever.
Dracula escaped the black mist almost as soon as Aurora did, barely giving her any respite as he fired out a rapid arrow of blood at her from his palm. freёweɓnovel.com
She swiftly expanded the right palm of her Shadow Cat to deflect it, before bursting out dozens of sharp spikes from the expanded palm straight at him.
He suddenly transformed into a bat and flew up to evade it, before reverting back and firing out a crackling lightning bolt down at her, which she swiftly evaded and countered with a Negative Slash.
He quickly put up a wall of blood to block it, but despite being slowed down it sliced through the wall. But he managed to buy himself that extra split second he needed to evade it, and then rapidly swooped down at her, balling his fists together as he closed in and swung them down at her.
She sprang back just in time to dodge it, but the shockwave upon impact as his fists slammed onto the ground knocked her off-balance, right as a large, narrow drill of blood burst out towards her midsection.
She quickly grabbed it with the hands of her Shadow Cat, right at the tip struck the middle of her shroud, before spinning rapidly while she desperately tried to hold it back.
If she relaxes for even a second, it’ll pierce through, she can’t afford to even think about evading it at this point...we’ve got to do something. Fortunately, Dracula’s back is to us right now..
.
Time for the Light Skill: Blast technique. I swiftly took aim and formed a ball of light, before increasing its density and starting to spin it while sharpening its shape...yeah, I’m copying that drill shape he’s using with his blood attacks, sorta stealing the idea...
"No, don’t," I said to Alexis, as she began to charge up lightning, "Your attacks are too loud for a sneak attack, leave this to me..."
Right as Aurora’s shroud around her midsection broke, I fired my blast at the back of Dracula’s neck, shooting it with as much momentum and speed as I could generate.
The instant it closed in on him, he suddenly stiffened and leapt off to the right, before my attack struck and ripped through his left shoulder in an instant, tearing off his right arm.
And most importantly, his blood drill dissipated before it could pierce through Aurora, a trickle of blood running down her stomach as the tip of it had struck her before it dissipated.
As Dracula’s arm grew back rapidly, he froze as Aurora suddenly closed in on him in an instant, her claws poised to strike...

Point-of-View: Aurora Pretorius
———————————————————————————
Damn it...my Shadow Cat won’t hold up for much longer! The parts around my hands have almost completely been torn through, and the part around my midsection was nearly gone, he’s gonna break through any second now!
Could I use the tail or legs of my shroud to pull myself away to safety? No, that won’t work, this’ll burst right through my body the moment I try, I can’t get any leverage whatsoever while airborne like this!
Maybe I could fire a Negative Blast at him from my mouth...that might work, but activating another technique might disrupt my focus, I can’t risk that in this position...damn it, what should I-...huh?
His arm suddenly just got torn off...and this blood drill is losing its shape and has stopped spinning. What just-...no, I’ll think about it later, this is my chance!
I formed wide wings out of the back of my shroud and closed in on him in an instant with a rapid, powerful flap of the wings, before swinging my arm across with a sense of aggression, my claws tearing into his right side and ripping out a chunk of his flesh.
As he began to raise his knee at me, I burst out several spikes from my shroud, all of them rapidly piercing into his knee and tearing his leg off before he could kick me.
He managed to maintain his balance on one leg and then swung his arm at my head, which I ducked under and drove my claws into his chest, grabbing his ribs and breaking them apart, before slamming my fist onto his face with all my strength, while simultaneously wrapping a dark, whip-like streak from my shroud around his torso.
As I smashed his face in and began to send him flying back, he abruptly halted in mid-air as the streak I’d wrapped around him went taut, the force of the whiplash snapping his spine like a twig. fгeewebnovёl.com
I then swung him down and slammed him onto the ground before rapidly extending the left arm of my Shadow Cat and firmly pinning him down, digging the claws into his shoulder and torso.
And then, as I extended the right arm of my shroud out too, I formed a massive, violently swirling Negative Blast sphere, before rapidly swinging it down at him, slamming in onto him while continuing to fuel the blast and increase the speed of its spin and rotation, intensifying its destructive power as much as possibly could.
If he can heal from any injury, then I’d like to see him come back from being grinded down into dust! I could feel it, his body was being eradicated bit by bit, it was healing rapidly, but my attack was tearing it apart faster than it could repair itself.
He’s stronger than me, faster than me, a hell of a lot more experienced than me, his Aura is more immense, and he’s got more tricks up his sleeve than I do...in an all-out fight, he’d probably have easily defeated me already. But he’s been holding back for whatever reason...and I won’t let him get away with underestimating me!
Now, die!
With a final burst of Aura and intensifying the violent spin of my blast, I let out a roar as I felt every last trace of him disappear, grinded down to nothingness.
I then pulled back the right arm of my Shadow Cat, and sure enough, there was nothing left there. I did it...he’s gone, I really-...huh?
I froze as my instincts suddenly went crazy, before I quickly glanced behind me to the left...to see a mass of flesh and bones rapidly growing and forming in the shape of a person, several sharp streaks of blood whipping all around it to protect itself.
"N-no way, how-...?" I began, before trailing off as I realized...his right arm that got severed earlier, he’s regenerating through that arm...
"Well, now...I very nearly just died," He remarked with a stunned look on his face, before meeting my gaze as a slight smirk appeared on his face, "Only God himself has ever backed me into a corner so alarmingly before...I truly commend you. The next time we meet, I will give you your due respect and fight you with all my power. Farewell till then."
"Not so fast, you’re not getting away!" I snapped, as I sent my right arm rapidly extending out towards him, but I was too late, as he swiftly raised dozens of spikes in front of himself, firing a lightning blast at the ground to kick up a snow cloud, before I lost track of him as a stiff breeze blew across towards me, obscuring his scent.
Tch...he got away...
