Following her command, the turrets intercepted and tore apart the incoming missiles.
Evangeline was bewildered by how a simple, relaxing, and chill game had suddenly become what was essentially a tower defense simulation game.
Nevertheless, she was sucked into its mechanics and gameplay in an instant.

“Huh? What’s this?” There was something that showed as available for purchase, but couldn't be bought. Taking a closer look, it was using a different currency than the one she was using.

“My ass!” Evangeline, finally and truly pissed off, made a gesture, and the laser from the giant warship in the sky gathered energy and instantly incinerated the alien into ash.
“How dare a weakling dare to act up. I have the best weapon in the game right now!” Evangeline let out a sharp puff of air through her nose, kicked the remains of the alien, and returned to her original objective.
Whether it was break time, or if the invaders decided to stop coming, she was able to have peace for about thirty minutes.
