Chapter 1395.1
Illyna giggled, holding out her smartphone for Davey to look at. “Did you see what Willow did?”
The phone played a video of an interview Willow had done in which she explained that, unlike before, her goal was to provide a stable new environment.
“It looks like she rebuilt virtual reality to manage the authority of harmony.”
“Nice,” Davey responded with mild enthusiasm.
“Are you sure it’s not related at all?”
“I don’t really know what Willow does with her power. We’re completely different types, and she’s a true goddess. Even if it looks like she’s just following her whims or acting out of boredom, she probably realized that handling everything herself could lead to mistakes. Bringing in others helps with that.”
Willow had been somewhat skeptical of how forgiving and also brutal humans could be, but the incident with Chef MacGuff must’ve shown her just how soft she could get toward someone she cared about.
That was why she implemented the virtual reality system again, despite Evangeline having only mentioned it as a throwaway topic.
“From what I'm seeing, Sacred Group’s stock value shot way up after the announcement. Earth really can be a strange place sometimes.”
“So, how did the public react to the releases?” No matter what, Willow was his child. If a beloved daughter released something to the world, any parent would want them to be complimented and want to brag about it to everyone in the neighborhood.
“The reviews are pretty good! She made the systems really approachable and accessible to everyone, and you can really tell how much effort she put into it.”
After all, the operation was handled by the staff. What Willow released was just a system framework.
“Let’s go,” Davey abruptly said, standing up.
Illyna looked up, asking, “Huh? Where?”
“Where else?” he asked, looking at her as if she were dense. “To brag!”
She’d had a feeling that was it. “Ugh...”
Perserque, who had been reading a book while playing hand games with Abel, asked, “What, don’t like it?”
Illyna’s expression shifted. “Don’t be silly. Of course we have to go!”
Like father, like mother.

Super Ribbon wryly smiled at Willow, who was rolling around playing with Darian. “Don’t you think you’re rushing things?”
“What do you mean?” she responded, still focusing on Darian.
Super Ribbon pinpointed the concerns that could arise, saying, “Games usually require meticulous precision and take a long time to develop. If it’s released so quickly... won’t there be problems? For the game’s quality, and for the people managing it...”
Even if data from the previous Alf Online game remained intact, releasing it so quickly could be very risky.
Willow chuckled lightly, lifted Darian onto her shoulders, and stood up. She nonchalantly assured Super Ribbon, “Don’t worry about that stuff. Those aren’t issues I have to manage myself, anyway. The things being released now were made by Neltarid.”
“Uh... Neltarid? What do you mean?”
“We had similar concerns about the release window. You can have the equipment and framework all ready to go, but if content creation then takes months or years, it’s wasted time people could have spent enjoying that framework. So, we instead decided to release small leisure games or community content first, like minesweeper and that pinball game on early computers. It also doesn’t have to be a game, per se. We just need people to log in. They can watch a movie, go fishing, take a trip across the galaxy at light speed... whatever they want. As long as their consciousness is linked, it works.”
Willow had regained some interest in games, especially since she had been rather bored. After all, she could now enjoy the travels and shared meals she had once longed for without restriction. She was no longer trapped in a space of nothingness with zero sensation. freewēbnoveℓ.com
“So then the Neltarid who made it...” Super Ribbon began.
“Technically speaking, the current Neltarid just recalled and brought forth what the previous Neltarid had created,” Willow clarified. “Though, he still looked quite exhausted after it all was said and done.”
Neltarid had successfully created a fully realized world—not just for the Awakened individuals, but so that all the humans on Earth could enjoy themselves even more without the pesky restrictions of true reality. It offered a variety of new blessings beyond just a simple game.
Though called virtual reality, unlike what was commonly known, it was a fleshed-out truly virtual world left behind by a god who had already perished.

Evangeline was streaming at the same time as usual, but had prepared slightly different content for her viewers.
In the nebulous space, she reached into the air to activate a messenger window. It was a simplified messaging system similar to Durian Talk.
“Willow, are you in?” As she spoke, small clusters of light gathered around her and gradually took the shapes of Red Ribbon, Blue Ribbon, and Willow.
“Looks like the link works fine,” Willow confirmed.
Evangeline could hardly believe it. “This is amazing... Maybe it’s because it’s my first time doing this, but it feels familiar to what Dad told us. Though, it’s a little different too.”
“I made sure it wouldn’t feel too realistic. People still need to be able to tell reality from virtual reality, after all. Otherwise, we’d have a lot of problems on our hands and society would struggle.”
Willow pointed toward the sky, where a special banner detailed the restrictions of access and sensation in the system. It was like a safety feature, something that constantly reminded people the place was just a virtual world, not reality.
“There was probably a similar system in the old version too. The human mind is weaker than a lot of people seem to think, so safety features like this are essential.” Willow shrugged and looked around. “More importantly, why does your space look so... I dunno... barren?”
Evangeline felt indignant at the jab. “I just logged in for the first time! Do you think I had time to decorate?”
“Whatever, move over. I’ll fix it up a little for you.”
Fwoosh!!
Once she waved her hand, the room amazingly began transforming into a pretty bedroom, decorated in accordance with her will. It looked similar to Evangeline’s room, though it lacked a certain degree of realism, stretching instead into clearly otherworldly features.
Designs that could never exist in reality appeared everywhere, showcasing one of the advantages of virtual reality.
“W-woaaah! I-It’s so pretty! Now Red Ribbon! Red Ribbon wants to try too!” She excitedly waved her hands through the air, but nothing moved since she didn’t know the controls. “Uuung... Villow, Villow, why’s it not workinggg?”
Willow gave an exasperated sigh. “Haah. Watch carefully.”
Willow picked Red Ribbon up in her arms and guided her through the proper motion, causing a cluster of light to appear in front of her. “This is how you do it, okay? There are specific commands that you have to use, it's not just a free-for-all of gestures. I can’t have things changing weirdly every time you randomly wave your hands around, right?”
Red Ribbon was overjoyed. “Waaah! Something really appeared!”
“Okay, now press the left side there, think about what you want to make or change, and then wave your hand.”
Red Ribbon took a few moments to herself to process the explanation, then suddenly started wildly waving both hands.
Cling!!
Clusters of light gathered together before countless dolls appeared. Then, with a thump, a giant teddy bear landed on the floor, its fluffy girth spreading so wide that multiple people could use it as a bed together if they wanted.
Red Ribbon and Blue Ribbon’s eyes sparkled at the same time. “Wooow!”
They rushed over and buried themselves in the giant bear’s arms.
Watching the two children giggle happily together, Evangeline smiled warmly. “This really is amazing, Willow. I can't believe it all works so seamlessly and effortlessly. Then again, since it’s a mental space, I guess it makes sense?”
“Want to try other things too?” Willow offered. “Linking your smartphone or stream here is still a little unstable with the current build, but it’ll get sorted out soon.”
“You made all this yourself?”
“I didn’t make it,” she answered. Since Neltarid had built the basic foundation itself, Willow looked to have experienced a fairly relaxed dev process.
“This is nice. So can I stream from here now?” Evangeline asked, ignoring the previous mentioning of bugs.
“Well, things will probably keep getting updated little by little, but functionally it should work. At this point in the process, I’m only providing and focusing on the core consciousness resonance technology. I’m stepping away from everything else.”
In other words, she wouldn’t be directly involved anymore.
Meanwhile, Evangeline decided to do full test to see if her stream worked in the virtual space. “This is definitely nice, but I think streaming from my room in the lair would still be better.”
It seemed she’d already managed to stream, as she waved toward the translucent camera filming her, greeting, “Oh, hello everyone!
“As you can see, today’s content is another virtual reality experience stream. I’m sure a lot of you have already started playing, but today what I’ll be showing you is...” Stopping mid-sentence, Evangeline glanced at Willow. “Hey Sis, what was it again?”
Willow immediately put her palm to her face. “Ugh, you idiot...” freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
[OMEGALUL]
[Lmao there’s actually a streamer who doesn’t even know what her own content is called???]
Meanwhile, the two little girls giggled as they bounced up and down on the giant teddy bear’s stomach, drawing plenty of attention.
[Yo but Red Ribbon and Blue Ribbon are being insanely cute in the background as always lol. Praise be to reality]
“Move over, loser, I’ll just do the explanation myself. Intros can't be that hard to do.” Willow lightly pushed Evangeline aside, then flashed a grin at the camera. “It’s nothing special. The games we already released are pretty popular, but now I’m going to be giving you a sneak peek at some of the upcoming ones still in development.”
[New stuff? Doth my ears deceive me, m’lady? tips fedora]
[Somebody take the shot and put this dude out of his misery, pls]
[No way, Willow, you're kidding! I’m gonna go insane! People are already going crazy over the current games, and now you're telling me there’s more?! ;_; pls spare me]
[Holy crap, that's sick timing! My new device is coming in a few days. I’m gonna be going balls-deep the second it gets here! Let's fucking goooo!]
“There are already tons of videos about this system out there, but what I’m showing today hasn’t appeared anywhere else. It’s an Evangeline exclusive! So, you all better come watch my little sister’s stream until the end, got it?”
After saying that, she stepped back and spread both hands. Particles immediately began gathering in front of them before forming something resembling a portal.
Red Ribbon and Blue Ribbon, who’d been busy playing with the teddy bear, toddled over while munching on snacks they’d somehow gotten from who knows where.
“Waaah! Pretty!”
Blue Ribbon tugged on Willow’s sleeve. “Villow... what’s this?”
“Hmm. It’s somewhere fun where we can play! Want to go in first?”
The two looked at each other, smiled brightly, and hopped through the portal with zero hesitation.
And then—
“WAAAAHHH!!!”
They shot back out and clung to Evangeline, crying loudly.
“Villow mean!!”
“Mean!!”
