Chapter 4229: Charging Homoarachnoid

As Arastia fought with a foe that appeared to be powerful enough to take her on, the pathwalker battalion found themselves facing an organized legion of arachnoids all by themselves.

RUMBLE

The homoarachnoid army marched forward as their stingers were prepared, pointing towards the pathwalker battalions. Each step they took lifted gray dust up into the air. It reverberated through the ground in unison. If they had faced disorganized, clumsy, and weak homoarachnoid forces before, this time they appeared to be facing the stronger ones among all whom they had faced, and this time without the protective intervention of the Blood Empress.

"Prepare yourselves!" Schoel bellowed as blood began to emerge from his body. "Do not let a single one of them touch our base! Attack!"

The charge of the pathwalkers was met with a charge from the homoarachnoids as the two forces clashed violently over a large area, immediately exchanging attacks with attacks.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The devastatingly powerful impacts ravaged the land beneath their feet and the heavens above their head, causing shockwaves to ripple through heaven and earth. Pathwalkers lunged forth, launching attack after attack against their enemies while the homoarachnoids leveraged their greatest weapon, their web fluid, to mount an onslaught of attacks against their outsider aliens.

From one side emerged sound, light, lightning, plasma, and wind blasts, and numerous other kinds of high principles.

On the other hand, a spew of web fluid was all the pathwalkers needed. Battles broke out between pathwalkers and ascendant homoarachnoids of similar ranks of power as Martial Sages, focused on taking on the strongest among the homoarachnoids and vice versa.

Except for -o—o-o and Oo—o-.

The two ascendant homoarachnoids rushed deeper into the formation, stealthily bypassing the Martial Sages while keeping their eye out for one and only one person out of all of them.

The target that the Divine Mother had instructed them to bring along with them.

-o—o-o’s eyes lit up with a deeper eagerness. "There. She. Is!"

In the distance, he spotted who he had been looking for.

There she was fighting valiantly against numerous homoarachnoid warriors who ganged up around her, trying to kill her. They hadn’t been informed of the divine directive that the two ascendant homoarachnoids had received from the Divine Mother herself.

They simply tried to kill who was the most important warrior on the battlefield, as far as they were concerned.

And yet, she outmatched them. Her amber eyes flared with intensity as her body surged into motion, becoming an indistinguishable blur in the eyes of her blessed warrior opponents. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

They never stood a chance.

BANG BANG BANG

A series of blows struck three vital points on the homoarachnoid’s body, that Ria had already discerned before her fist blasted into his head, knocking him out. Her instincts warned her of numerous attacks converging on her back, threatening to kill her right then and there.

And yet, they never even came close.

She had already begun to dodge before the attacks struck her.

WHOOSH

With a smooth summersault, she evaded their web fluid shots smoothly, finding herself gazing into the six eyes of her opponents upside down, before bringing her feet down on their heads in a devastating double-axe kick.

BANG BANG!

On the spot, she cracked their skulls, deforming them as their bodies lifelessly collapsed at her feet. The other two homoarachnoid warriors shifted away fearfully as they realized they were dealing with a monster beyond their caliber.

And yet, they never stood a chance of escaping.

TAP TAP

She smoothly scrambled their brains with a single touch, deploying Death’s Sympathy smoothly. Several more homoarachnoids lunged at her from behind, seeking to exploit the opportunity to take her down.

But she wasn’t alone.

BANG BANG BANG!

Runark’s hands became blurred fast, ravaging their bodies with an onslaught of impacts that shattered their bones. Behind him, Misha emerged, unleashing a powerful blood cannon at the homoarachnoid. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

VMMMM!!!!

She burned the creature to the depths of the flesh, killing it instantaneously.

BANG BANG BANG!!!

Sternon took on three homoarachnoids by himself as he adaptively evolved his gene realm to make his skin anti-adhesive, making him extremely resistant to their web fluid. Behind him, Siliscia erupted, unleashing an onslaught of vines that stretched out forward, capturing her opponents in thick, heavy stems that restrained them where they were, allowing Sternon to finish them off more smoothly.

Everything had been going smoothly for the party so far, especially when they were led by someone as strong as Ria. She simply nodded with satisfaction at how well their team dismantled the homoarachnoid assault. She had expected that the fact that a homoarachnoid monster powerful enough to take her aunt on was present on the planet, they would have a much harder time, but they had managed to remain in the game for long enough.

That was when she felt an extreme surge of danger behind her.

An attack so quick and powerful that not even she was able to evade it in time.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A powerful bullrushing charge from Oo—o- blasted into her as the two of them flew away from the sheer momentum of the female homoarachnoid. In just the blink of an eye, the two of them had separated far away from where they were just a moment prior.

"Ria!" Runark screamed in alarm as he rushed to catch up to her.

BOOOM!!!

-o—o-o landed right in front of him and the rest of Ria’s party, preventing them from reaching her.

Runark’s expression grew ferocious with anger. "Get out of my way!"

WHOOSH!

He tried running around the homoarachnoid, only to find himself face to face with a spewed web fluid shot, threatening to bind him where he stood.

WHOOSH!

Runark summersaulted, barely evading the powerful attack with gritted teeth, glaring at what seemed like a grin on the homoarachnoid’s face.

"You’re. Going. Nowhere."

Meanwhile, Ria found herself staring into the six eyes of the female homoarachnoid who had bullrushed her. Her body was bound in webs that bound her physically to the body of the homoarachnoid, the adhesion making it very difficult for her to get out of her opponent’s grip.

Her vision of the world was that of a hazy blur as Oo—o- charged away, having already caught Ria in the blink of an eye. Even as the homoarachnoid rushed away to return the target to the Divine Mother, she found herself inadvertently gazing into the depths of the human’s eyes.

And that was when she saw it.

That was when she saw the universe.
