Li Jun walked over just as the woman was asking Yu Wen if he needed some help. Yu Wen shook his head no, his steps unsteady, but she couldn’t let this opportunity slip through her fingers. Just then, Li Jun, who was standing behind them, said, "I don’t think he wants to go with you."

When she heard his voice, she was a little startled at first, thinking she had been caught in the act. But when she looked back and saw who it was, she relaxed. Who in the academy didn’t know that these two hated each other so much that they bumped heads whenever they met?

She was sure that Li Jun would turn a blind eye and let her do as she pleased. But it turns out she was wrong. Li Jun said, "I can take him back home. You can leave." freēwēbηovel.c૦m

With a slight smirk, she said, "You think he would go with you? Why would he do that when you guys hate each other?" She was quite smug, too, when she said that. She was confident that Yu Wen would choose to go with her.

His arms folded across his chest, he turned to Yu Wen and said, "Who do you want to go with?" He was prepared to walk away if he chose to go with her. At least that meant he tried to help, but his kindness was refused.

The woman asked, "Would you like me to take you back?" Yu Wen, his eyes glossed over, looked at the two for a moment as though weighing his options. His gaze lingered on the woman, so Li Jun thought he had made his decision.

With a slight smile, he turned to walk away. He did as much as he could, he thought. Just then, his arm was grabbed. When he looked back, he saw Yu Wen looking at him with pleading eyes. That was the first time he felt uneasy around him. It was a sudden thrum in his chest, a jolt that left him breathless, the first undeniable stirrings of something more.

The woman was displeased and tried to convince Yu Wen that going with Li Jun was a very bad idea. Who knows what he would do to the drunk Yu Wen? But Yu Wen was so stubborn. He held on to Li Jun like he was his only lifeline.

Li Jun found it quite amusing. Even when Yu Wen hated him so much, he still would rather go with him. Li Jun couldn’t take him back to his place. He could only take him to a hotel. When he helped him onto the bed, Yu Wen smiled at him, saying, "Thank you."

That smile and the way Yu Wen looked at him stirred something in him. For once, Yu Wen wasn’t looking at him with disdain and hatred. His gaze was soft, and the smile so sweet. At that time, Li Jun said, "Ah-Wen, you should smile more. You look better when you smile," and the drunk Yu Wen actually listened to him. He smiled even brighter as though trying to impress him.

Li Jun swore, "Fuck," as he got up. That smile was so entrancing that he almost did something he would regret. He realized then how dangerous Yu Wen could be. After making sure he was comfortable, Li Jun decided to leave him to sleep it off.

Before he could even reach the door, Yu Wen, with frightening speed, got off the bed and blocked his path. Li Jun was taken aback. At the speed at which he rushed over, Li Jun was starting to think that Yu Wen wasn’t drunk at all. But what Yu Wen said next changed his mind.

He said, "Stay with me, please." Li Jun knew then that he was definitely shit faced because there is no way a sober Yu Wen would say such a thing to him. The night that they slept together wasn’t the first night they shared a bed, but Yu Wen didn’t remember it. They slept on the large bed, with a wide gap between them.

But in the middle of the night, Yu Wen shuffled over and cuddled him. Li Jun was frozen stiff the entire evening, his heart beating in his ears. He was afraid that he would wake Yu Wen up if he moved even a little, but it felt surprisingly good being held by him. His embrace gave him an unexpected sense of security and comfort he hadn’t felt ever since his mother died.

It was this encounter that made him want to give Yu Wen something special. And he even wrote him a card telling him to smile more. He wanted to see that mesmerizing smile again, but Yu Wen never smiled like that ever again. By the next day, he was back to showing him a cold face and picking fights over the smallest things.

Li Jun spent the next ten minutes trying to coax his grandpa and quell his anger. When the call ended, he pulled the covers over his head, dying from embarrassment. In one day, one single day, Yu Wen had exposed all his deeds to his family. If he wasn’t playing dead, he swore he would go find him and settle scores immediately.

Annoyed to death, he flung the bed covers and flailed his limbs, kicking and punching the air. ’No, nope, I am not letting him get away with this,’ he thought. There had to be something in his arsenal that could embarrass Yu Wen.

He tapped his phone and called Yan Jia to take care of it. Yan Jia was more than happy to do it. In a matter of hours, the video of Yu Wen in the red-light district being surrounded by ladies of the night spread on StarNet like wildfire. The Yu Wen in the surveillance video was much younger, with his emotions written all over his face.

StarNet exploded with some finding it hilarious. The man who always looked like he had a stick up his ass seemed so vexed and at a loss in the video. It was a rare and interesting sight, thus it drew a lot of attention.

Yu Wen, on the other hand, had no idea that he was the subject of everyone’s conversation. He was busy trying to find Li Jun’s right-hand man, Yu Xuan. If there was anyone who would know where Li Jun was other than his family, it would be him. He was pretty sure Yu Xuan’s phone would also be easier to infiltrate.
