Chapter 104: I don’t harbour criminals

Draco threw a tantrum but what was he going to do? Li Jun was gone. At least his grandson was not stupid enough to go by himself, but somebody must have known in advance that he was up to no good, and the most likely person out of all of them was Damian.

There was no one else in Blue Sapphire who had this much authority to mobilise everything except his son. He turned around and yelled, "Damian!"

But when he turned around the person was gone. In these few minutes, the idiot had known to run for his life. But Draco was not to be messed with. He was old but he was still fast. Damian thought he could get into the hovercar and drive as far away as possible.

But just as he jumped into the cabin he was grabbed by the back of his collar and he was yanked out. He choked from his collar tugging at his throat. He was thrown to the ground and with a pitiful cry, he said, "AAAAHHHH!! Old man are you trying to kill your only son?"

Draco pointed his shaky finger at him and said, "You! If anything happens to him, I will bury you with him. What kind of uncle are you?"

Damian sighed and said, "Dad, you worry too much. Nothing is going to happen to him. He said he wanted to get back my sister’s pendant."

Draco’s beard trembled as he huffed and walked away. Damian didn’t dare get up until his father was gone. Thinking he had gotten away with it, he sighed and got up. He still thought it would be safe for him to stay away from his father until he had calmed down so he got into the hovercar.

It only drove for a short distance before it glitched and initiated a shutdown. His brows furrowed thinking they were under attack. He got out of the cabin and looked into the distance. He tapped his phone to call for the driver to bring another car over but he found that no outgoing calls were allowed.

He instantly knew what was going on. The old man was so petty that, of course, he wouldn’t let him off the hook unscathed. This was a way of making him pay for his sins.

He sighed and had no choice but to walk back in the hot sun. He was huffing and puffing as he was walking. Not because he was walking in the hot sun. He had been through worse than this, way worse.

He was annoyed that his father was this petty. It was ridiculous. He would rather get into a sparring match with the old man and get his ass kicked than play these games.

He reached the garden and looked into the distance. He found his father sitting there sipping on his tea. His expression was stern but he could sense that he was gloating. Damian walked over and sat beside him. Draco looked away and said, "Back so soon?"

"Seriously?" Damian said feeling exasperated.

His father said, "You can leave, no one is stopping you. Oh you can call your little boyfriend to come pick you up," with a curl at the corner of his lips. It was small but he could see it.

"Fuck," he swore under his breath. His father was determined to make him pay.

───

Li Jun had no idea that his partner in crime was being tortured by the old man. He was busy trying to pick his new face. His old face had been burned.

Helion had already made an attempt on his life once, they would most definitely do it again given the chance. This time he picked a face that looked furthest from his original one. He thought he could get close enough to get the pendant and leave. That was the plan.

Yan Jia just looked at him scrolling through the faces while thinking this plan wasn’t going to work. There was no way Li Jun was going to just walk away after getting that pendant. As for Yu Wen, she was certain that he wouldn’t let him go.

She had tried to convince him not to do this. She had even offered to find other ways to steal it back but Li Jun was so determined. Yan Jia had no choice but to go with him. She would rather be by his side and make sure he was safe.

Having picked a face, Li Jun waited patiently as the machine created it. In the meantime, he tapped his phone and let out a soft chuckle.

Yan Jia asked, "What is it?"

He smiled and said, "Xuan sent me a picture of the knot he got on his forehead. It is so swollen it looks like a steamed bun, look."

Yan Jia looked at it and laughed even harder than Li Jun. Yu Xuan was puckering his lips like a duck his eyes looking sad, like he had been bullied. This wasn’t the first time he had gotten a knot on his head. The culprit was obvious to the both of them.

"How did he piss off his mum this time?" she asked and and Li Jun said,

"What do you think? He didn’t tell her that he wasn’t coming back home. He went missing for two days and she hunted him down." Yu Xuan had a problem. He loved chasing skirts.

A beautiful woman could have him being spontaneous and impulsive. If she said lets go to another planet to see the massive waterfalls, he would jump at the chance and pay for everything. When his mother yelled at him about it he would say that could be the love of his life. He was such a stupid romantic.

The only reason he held back in the past few years was because he kept losing money to Li Jun. Li Jun was doing it on purpose lest this idiot get swindled out of a fortune. But it seemed that after they separated, Yu Xuan was now off the leash. He was like a dog in heat running loose in the neighbourhood but unlike a dog, he wouldn’t dare bring puppies home.

Thus the empress dowager had to step in. How he got injured was because he was running away from her. Li Jun typed back a response.

JunJun: You deserve it.

JunJun: If you keep this up, she will arrange a marriage for you.

Yu Xuan typed back furiously.

SexyXu: Never!

SexyXu: I will run away.

SexyXu: Lord Jun, you will let me move in with you right?

Li Jun laughed out loud and Yan Jia snorted. She was thinking, "Move in where? He had already mooched enough from his highness."

JunJun: Sorry, I don’t harbour criminals.

Yu Xuan’s reply couldn’t come fast enough. He replied immediately.

SexyXu: (sad cat jpeg)

SexyXu: I swear I don’t eat that much.

SexyXu: I am easy to raise.

Li Jun snorted coldly. He was about to reply when Yu Xuan sent another message.

SexyXu: Let me speak to the old man and plead my case.

SexyXu: I am sure he will let me stay.

Li Jun smiled as he replied.

JunJun: I am not with him.

JunJun: I am going to the frontlines.

Reading this Yu Xuan jumped up cursing, "What the fuck?!"

His mother was doing his sister’s hair. She was startled by his cursing. Patting her chest she said, "Why are you yelling?" while throwing a comb at him.

"Ah... I am talking to Li Jun," he said while jumping up like a startled cat. He knew Li Jun was his mother’s kryptonite. Mentioning him would get him out of trouble instantly.

As expected his mother’s expression softened. She still scolded him though saying, "Li Jun, Li Jun who is Li Jun. It’s his highness. That’s what you should call him."

Yu Xuan picked up the comb and he placed it in her hand before running away. His mother yelled, "Tell him I said hie."

As soon as he stepped out he called him. The front line was very dangerous. He was worried that if he went there he would get hurt or worse. The second Li Jun picked up the video call he went into mama bear mode.

"I thought you were planning on travelling more? What happened to that plan? There is nothing interesting to see at the front lines," he said his words coming out like rapid fire.

Yan Jia thought Yu Xuan would be able to talk some sense into him so she answered for him saying, "There is. He is going to see Yu Wen."

When Yu Xuan heard that name his entire body froze. What the hell did he mean by going to see Yu Wen? Why? Recalling what Yu Wen had told him he stammered, "Yu Yu Yu Wen... what for?"

Li Jun turned to Yan Jia reprimanding her saying, "What Yu Wen. I am going to get my pendant back."

Yu Xuan was confused for a second. He asked, "What pendant?"

Yan Jia was eager for Yu Xuan to be the voice of reason so she said, "His mother’s pendant. Yu Wen has it."

Yu Xuan was mind-blown. He knew Li Jun had lost that pendant years ago so how could Yu Wen have it?
