Chapter 1887: Chapter 851: Eternal Fate (Part 2)
But this was a substance that didn’t belong here. This was the interior of Space; no physical matter existed here. Even if fragments fell in, they would be expelled by the enormous spatial position pressure. It had been hidden here by some special power.
"This should be it!"
Rod thought, piloting the Spirit Realm Ship and instantly flying over, grabbing it in his hand.
In that instant, something like a vacuole popped. Rod had no time to inspect it; the tremendous positional pressure made his Divine Power burn madly. If he lingered here any longer, his Divine Power would be exhausted.
Turning the Spirit Realm Ship, he instantly flew out of the spatial rift and returned to the Main Material World.
"I got it!"
Rod dispelled the gray mist and excitedly raised the stone in his hand.
What greeted him were countless shocked gazes.
Rhein could hardly believe his eyes. "Brother Rod, h-how many miracles can you even create?"
Romano shouted, "Space Explorer Bain is only worthy of warming your bed!"
Rod refused, "No. Just hearing that name I can tell he’s a musclebound hulk. I’m not interested in men."
He handed the stone to Solos.
"Can you tell what this is? I can’t sense anything abnormal. It has no Spirituality, it’s just like an ordinary stone."
Solos took the unremarkable stone, looking at it with a grave expression.
Not far away, that spatial fold had already vanished. This indicated that it was indeed the hidden object they were looking for.
To hide this object in such a way, it definitely had to be the Ancient Space God.
After remaining silent for a long time, Solos suddenly said, "This is a Source Artifact."
"A Source Artifact?"
Rod’s heart shook. He knew that Source Artifacts were true Divine Artifacts, just like the Giant’s Sword, possessing extremely strong power.
Yet this stone clearly didn’t have any power at all.
Everyone was equally astonished. "How could this possibly be a Source Artifact?"
"Over the endless years, its power has already diffused away." frёewebnoѵēl.com
Solos answered calmly.
"The Ancient Space God once tried to use Space to Seal it, but some special power pierced that spatial barrier and corroded a huge hole into the interior of the Source Artifact. Its power flowed out from there."
Rod’s heart sank. In the Dream Realm, the Book of Knowledge said: "This must be the influence of the Black Fog. It can penetrate Space."
"However."
Solos’s tone suddenly shifted, making everyone raise their heads, turning toward their strongest member.
"Although the Source Artifact’s power has already dissipated, the traces of time and years still remain upon it. I can feel that within it, there is still a remnant ancient aura, and it has a deep connection with the ancient gods. With the power of the City of Prophecy, we might be able to learn more information about the Ancient Epoch—especially the battle of Godoyin Sacred Mountain!"
In that moment, the oppressive mood was swept away.
Rhein shouted, "Yes, that must be it. The Great Shepherd Leader’s prophecy was referring to this! Through it, we can definitely figure out the origin of Eternal Night and bring this disaster to a complete end!"
Smiles appeared on everyone’s faces—everyone except Solos.
"It won’t be that simple."
Solos stared at the stone.
"It has lain dormant in the river of time for far too long. The corrosion of the Black Fog has dealt it a fatal blow. To rely on it to peer into that ancient Epoch will be extremely difficult. Even for the Great Shepherd Leader, even for the Prophetic City, it might not be possible."
Rhein, however, was not worried. "Lord Solos, as long as it’s in our hands, the Great Shepherd Leader will think of a way."
Solos shook his head slightly and said no more.
"We should head back."
Rhein quickly said, "Lord Solos, are we going to establish a new base here? The battle over the Fallen Ship has already ended. This entire vast region should be incorporated into our territory."
Romano laughed. "Exactly. Once such a massive ore vein is put into operation, the output of High Rank Elements will jump up another level. We’ll become even stronger!"
The faces of the many strong fighters were filled with excitement and anticipation. The Fallen Ship region could be called superb, and it was extremely vast. Once Saint Longde annexed it, its territory would expand by at least thirty percent.
Only Solos remained calm, showing little joy. freewēbnoveℓ.com
Rhein also perceived the difficulty. "Establishing a base over such a wide expanse of land is an incomparably colossal undertaking. We’ll have to mobilize countless personnel and an enormous amount of supplies..."
"Exactly!"
Romano added, "The Fallen Ship is still a long way from Saint Longde’s border, and we also need strong battle power stationed here..."
As they spoke, everyone’s expressions dimmed. But at that moment, Rod suddenly spoke.
"It’s fine."
He said with a smile.
"We have the Teleportation Gate."
Rhein frowned. "The Teleportation Gate is linked to Trolian. How can we use it here? Developing a new base is important, but it’s nowhere near as important as Trolian."
Rod gave a faint smile.
"Through my transcendent wisdom, I’ve improved my control over the Teleportation Gate by another step. From now on, the Teleportation Gate is no longer constrained by time or number of uses. In other words, I can open it anytime, anywhere, and keep it active indefinitely... so long as the destination is the Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground."
For a moment, even the air went silent.
Everyone’s eyes went wide. Shock rippled across every crease of their faces. Even Solos, rarely, showed a look of surprise.
