Chapter 85: My Love

Sierra reached out her hands. Alistair still had his mask on at this moment. She didn’t want it there anymore. She lifted herself out of the water a little, the water revealing her womanly figure to him as she did. Alistair felt his heart pound as he squinted close his eyes to keep his promise.

"I don’t mind if you look either, Your Majesty," Sierra chuckled.

She kissed the mask he wore and untied the string that held it in place. She took it off his face and placed it on the side of the bathtub before submerging herself back in the water. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

She was closer to him than she had been before and they were gazing into each other’s eyes.

"Now I can see you clearly," she winked.

Alistair chuckled and Sierra joined him too.

"You never cease to surprise me, sweetling," he mused, "Most women, if not all would have shied away from this. Where do you get your bravery? Are all women from Cair like you?"

Sierra shook her head, "I guess that would have to do with my unique upbringing. When you’ve travelled from place to place, finding a secluded place to bath grows increasingly different."

Sierra’s comment gave Alistair pause, "Are you saying that many have seen naked men in your time? And they have seen..."

Sierra punched him on his arm immediately, knowing what he was insinuating, "I’m not a loose woman, King Alistair. So don’t let your mind run wild with such thoughts."

Alistair raised both hands in defeat, "My apologies, I didn’t mean it that way. But I am curious though."

"Curious about what?"

"How do I compare to what you’ve already seen, sweetling?" Alistair asked as he got up to his feet.

Before he could get very far, Sierra placed her hands on his shoulder and pushed him back down in the water. She knew what he was trying to get at. She knew what he was trying to ask.

"Your Majesty, are you worried that you can’t compare to some of what I’ve already seen? That seeing what you have to offer won’t excite me?" Sierra asked as she looked into his eyes.

She was almost on top of him, their faces were only inches apart. She had seen how confident Alistair had been since the first day they met. Yet now, she was seeing a different side of him. Sierra’s remark caught Alistair completely off guard. He had not realized how vulnerable he had become in front of her.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have full confidence that my mistress would be pleased with what she sees," he brushed it off without much thought.

Sierra traced her finger down from the base of his neck, down his bare chest. She did not break eye contact with him throughout and neither did he. She had let him tease her for long enough, so she decided to return him a favor.

"I’m already liking what I see, my King. I can’t wait to see more," she whispered in his ear as she cleaned in closer.

To have her breath against his skin was unlike anything he had experienced before. Alistair has had his fair share of women over time, many were more than willing to warm his bed and pleasure him as he pleased. But none of them could come close to Sierra.

Alistair leaned in to kiss Sierra on the lips. She did not shrug away. Both of them parted lips, allowing their tongues to explore the inside of each others’ mouths. The moment their lips touched, all the worry Sierra had moments before melted away.

She was worried about what might happen should someone find them in the bathroom. The fear she had was pushed to the back of her mind. Her heart was pounding with excitement due to how intimate they were.

When they finally parted lips, both of them were a little short of breath.

"Sweetling, I think it’s only appropriate for you to select your nickname for me," Alistair suggested.

He had been calling her ’sweetling’ from the start and it stuck. But Sierra had not addressed him with a unique nickname and he wanted her to. It sealed the bond they shared with one another.

"A nickname?" She echoed his words as she submerged herself back in the water, allowing the warm heat to caress her skin.

She pondered for a moment, wondering what would be suitable. She bit her lip as she filtered through a series of options in her mind. She reminisced the moments they had shared since their first meeting until the present. freewebnovёl.ƈom

"How about ’my love’?" She suggested, "But it would be best for me to only call you as such when we’re in private. When we’re out in public... I’ll stick to ’My King’?"

Alistair pondered over it for a while. It was simple and he liked it.

"Sounds good to me, my sweetling."

Sierra smiled as she laid her head against his chest, listening to his heart beat, "I’m glad you like it, my love."

Sierra looked at her hands. She could feel the ridges on the tips of her fingers, formed due to having been submerged in water for extended periods of time. As much as she wished for that moment to last a little longer, she knew Alistair had to go.

She got out of the water and picked up one of the towels to wrap it around herself before handing the other to Alistair. He did not protest her decision, even though he wanted to spend more time with her too.

He dried himself off quickly, as Sierra changed into the new set of clothes Ida had prepared for her. When he was done, Sierra came up to him with his robe as she helped him put it on.

Once he did, she took the rope that held it together and lined it back in the hoops of the bathrobe. Her hands went all around his waist as she did so and she carefully tied the knot in front to keep his modesty. She pressed her head against his back for a few moments, taking in his scent.

Alistair placed his hand on hers that were wrapped around his waist. She was tightening her hold on him ever so slightly and he could feel it.

"It’s time for me to leave, sweetling. We’ll have our time again soon enough," he promised.

Sierra loosened her arms around him and let out a sigh, "I know."

He turned around to meet her eyes.

"I’ll make time for us, I promise."
