Three days later.

No. 66, Nicks Avenue.

Vieya slowly regained consciousness. She lay still for a long while, staring blankly at the familiar ceiling.

She had thought her body, even after becoming a slime girl, was still quite amazing—and that the reckless use of the Holy Sword’s power would be something she could make up for later with a few good meals.

But when the real aftereffects hit, she realized the previous overdrafts were nothing compared to this.

Her head spun and ached, strange and incoherent visions floated before her eyes, overlapping in a blur.

For a moment, she even thought her life was flashing before her eyes.

Forget eating—she could barely stay conscious.

After only a few minutes, her mind slipped back into darkness.

Time trickled by...

“What do we do... Mama still hasn’t woken up...”

“It looks like overexertion, but she throws up everything we try to feed her... If this continues with no intake, it’ll become serious. Besides, in her current state, I don’t dare try elven healing magic recklessly. I’ve never seen a slime girl before...” Aislin sighed faintly.

She hadn’t expected that right after she was discharged from her own hospital bed, she’d find her friend Vieya lying in one herself, barely breathing.

A woman who had never been picky about food—now unable to eat anything.

“Meow... I told you not to bother with those humans, but you didn’t listen to the cat, and now look what happened.”

“Mama’s gotten smaller again... Hey, Cat-sis, that’s Mama’s food! How can you eat it?!”

“She’s not waking up anyway. Leaving it there would be a waste. Meow. Mmm, tasty!”

Helcat Red sipped the milk porridge while licking her lips. “See? Peace and quiet. No trouble, no yelling. Now this house will follow my rules.”

“Cat-sis, get out! You shameless cat!”

“Hey, hey, hey! Don’t push me! When did I ever roll my eyes—”

Bang!

The door slammed shut, blocking Helcat’s view. She spread her hands helplessly. Who knew that little slime would wield the Holy Sword without even caring about her own body—unlocking a full hundred percent of its power right away. It would’ve been enough to just scare them off, but no, she had to chase and kill.

“Meow... I wonder when she’ll recover. No one’s even replenishing my dried fish rations anymore.”

Helcat crouched by the door, sighing heavily.

A shadow appeared before her.

Anna had come to check in, but seeing the door tightly closed, she gave up on entering. “How is she?”

“She looks like she’s sleeping soundly, but her brows are furrowed, like she’s having a nightmare,” Helcat said quietly. “Won’t ◈ Nоvеlіgһт ◈ (Continue reading) eat anything.”

“Still the same, huh... Looks like my healing spells didn’t work either.” Anna thought for a moment. “I know a few monster-girl doctors, but they’ve only treated common types. When I told them the patient’s a slime girl, they just stared at me blankly.”

She sighed again. “If this slime girl could just lay a few more offspring, we’d have more material to study... but she only had one half-human, half-demon child. Useless for reference.”

...

In the darkness.

Vieya felt something being pressed against her lips, followed by a bitter, acrid taste spreading through her mouth.

So bitter. I don’t want this...

Her body instinctively tried to spit it out—

—but she couldn’t.

Something was blocking her mouth.

Her slime body began to struggle.

“Mama, don’t move... You have to take the elf-sis’s medicine to get better faster... uuuh...”

“Uuuh, Mama said she’d come home at night, but she lied again... big liar! You’re not allowed to spit it out!”

“That medicine was so expensive... all wasted... uuh, Mama...”

The soft, broken sobs made Vieya’s chest tighten painfully. She fought to regain control of her body. Then, a small, warm hand clasped around her own.

Is that... holding my hand?

“Little Jasmine, your voice really works. She’s stopped resisting. Let’s finish giving her the rest of this bowl.”

“Mm...” Jasmine answered softly.

“Meow! What are you two doing? Something fun? I’ll help!”

“You’re feeding medicine to an unconscious slime girl?”

A whole bowl?

What are you trying to do? Don’t! Stop it!

And why are there so many people in my room?!

Through the haze, Vieya sensed several pairs of hands pressing her limbs against the bed. A dreadful feeling struck—sure enough, her mouth was covered by something soft, and the thick liquid trickled in, flowing down her throat.

“Ah! Mama reacted! Feed her more! I’ll hold her hands!”

“Meow? She’s so weak now, I can hold both her legs by myself!”

“Idiot Cat-sis, Mama’s sick. Of course she doesn’t have strength to fight you.”

“What’s in this medicine? It even works on monster girls?”

“Mm. It’s a special tonic our tribe uses for newborn elves when their life force is unstable. Bitter taste, but no side effects.”

“I see... but why feed it mouth to mouth?”

“Ugh. We already tried every tool—funnel, spoon, bottle—you name it. Every time it touches her lips, she reflexively spits it all out. We barely had time to change the sheets and clothes...”

“Eh... Her mouth won’t open anymore. Huh, did she just hear us talking? Don’t be shy now—come on, open up and drink. Once you finish this bowl, that’s the last dose for today.”

“......”

Mouth to mouth?

Who’s doing that? In front of my daughter?

How could you—!

And Jasmine, how could you join in on this?!

Vieya’s emotions tangled between fury and shame. She wanted to shout that she could drink on her own, that they should leave her alone— freewebnovel.cσ๓

—but she couldn’t even move a finger. Her body was acting purely on instinct.

Then a hand gripped her jaw, forcing her mouth open.

Anna’s eyes glinted with curiosity as she slipped a finger inside, swirling it gently along the inner walls. “The oral structure’s identical to a human’s—produces saliva, the tongue’s sensitive... slimy and warm, soft to the touch. It’s also delicate. Maybe a slime girl’s body isn’t as different from a human’s as I thought.”

“Anna teacher! Don’t touch my mama’s tongue!” Jasmine cried angrily. “Take your hand out!”

“Don’t be so stingy,” Anna replied lightly. “The more we understand her body, the better we can treat her. See? Just like humans—she sheds tears when stimulated.”

Slap!

Aislin smacked Anna’s hand away, frowning. “If you’re not going to help, don’t make things worse. When she wakes up, don’t expect us to speak in your defense.”

She then took the bottle full of medicine, pushed it between the slime girl’s lips, and whispered by her ear, “We know you can hear us. If you don’t want me to feed you, then drink it yourself—otherwise, I’ll have everyone take turns.”

She even pinched the slime girl’s cheek gently.

At the same time, Helcat Red poked the soles of Vieya’s feet with the tip of her tail, tickling her.

Overwhelmed by so many sensations, the little slime girl’s body began to tremble involuntarily.

Get out! All of you, get out!

Vieya’s mind screamed, burning with both shame and anger.

Is this how you people treat a patient?!
