Chapter 1167: Situation Of The New Cities.
Basically, the major plan behind this attack organized by the twin brothers was built around one belief: that once the assault began, it would create chaos inside the newly conquered cities.
But they were bound to be heavily disappointed.
Because despite the fact that Alec had not yet had time to fully integrate someone into the new towns, he had made sure to visit each of them personally.
Yes, Alec now had a teleportation axis in all of his cities, with the teleportation axis in his capital city being a mid-rank teleportation device.
He had spent a lot of system points just to raise it to its current level, and that was because he believed it was highly necessary.
At its new rank, it was able to save the coordinates of about forty locations, so instead of paying extra fees just to make sure the low-rank teleportation axes in the other cities could link to each other, he simply made sure they were all linked to the one in his capital city.
So if someone from Brandon’s city wanted to go to a certain region in Agnes’ city, the teleportation axis would first take them to Alec’s city, where they would then take another teleportation axis to Agnes’s city.
In other words, Alec’s city acted as the central bay for all the teleportation devices of the cities affiliated with him.
Currently, he has moved the main teleportation machine to the C Sector.
It was the new sector he planned to have his builders work on after they were done with the streetlights and road construction they were still trying to finish in the B Region, where his original citizens had all moved into.
The C Region was going to be more like a business district, mostly filled with hotels that would allow the original residents of the first eight cities to stay whenever they came into his capital city.
Though production for that had not started yet, Alec was already working toward it.
Aside from the fact that his capital city was connected to all the other nine cities, it was also the only city that had extra teleportation pods that were attached to the main axis device, with one still located inside Alec’s castle for his personal use.
And in case of an emergency, the Mid rank Teleportation device was able to perform a maximum teleportation of one thousand people at once.
While the teleportation axes in many other cities worked using massive Origin Essence Crystals, Alec’s own didn’t necessarily need that in order to work, his own teleportation axis still worked based on the amount of system points he left inside them.
And considering it only took a hundred system points to teleport a single person, the cost was incredibly low for him.
He always left about 100,000 system points in each of his affiliated cities every week, while his main city had 200,000 system points assigned to it. Though the amount he left in the other cities was already large, he did it because of emergencies of evacuating residents in case of an attack the city forces couldn’t contain to outside the gates.
And also in case of any attack, Alec wanted Connan to be able to move the army to support other cities without any stress which is why the main cities emergency funds were a hundred thousand higher, this was set in place especially if Alec himself was unavailable.
So every week, no matter what was left, he would simply top it back up to the assigned amount he wanted to leave for the respective cities.
And since his City Heart was more like an AI under his control, it was very easy for him to settle these things without any problems, all he had to do was usher the command and the AI would handle the rest and withdraw the amount from his balance.
So with all these teleportation axes created, he had immediately moved toward the two newly conquered cities the moment they came under his command and had his system-built city walls integrate with the old walls there.
To the residents, when they saw this happen, they could not explain it. It mostly looked like blocks of stone had appeared in the sky before descending and absorbing the stone walls that had previously been there.
The only reason Alec had done this was because he was unable to upgrade city gates that had not been built by the system.
He had tried it, but it did not work. So he tried buying new stone walls and placing them on top of the previous ones. Magically, the new walls appeared to absorb the old ones, becoming even firmer than the walls in his other affiliated cities, apart from the main city, which already had Level 2 walls around it.
At this stage, the city walls surrounding the main city were no longer just rough rocky stones. They now looked like smooth stone walls crafted with advanced knowledge, as though proper cement and refined construction techniques had been applied to them.
After doing all this, Alec used the teleportation axis to move into these cities and address the citizens personally, telling them not to worry and that his only intention was to make them prosper.
The residents of the city that was once ruled by the human lord were skeptical at first, acting quite guarded and grumpy toward him. However, Alec could fully understand why they behaved that way.
After all, he had conquered their city, and since they were not fully aware of what had really happened, they probably saw him more as a tyrant than a benevolent lord, since he had the previous lord killed.
So Alec had the Barbarian soldiers who had come with him distribute the extra food he had brought from his kingdom to the people, the moment they saw this, they all went wild with happiness.
There were a few who tried to fight over the food, their greed coming into full view as they attempted to take more than what had been assigned to them, while some even tried to cheat little children out of their shares.
But then Saint’s sword golems stepped in and made quick work of them, scaring off the others who had been thinking of causing chaos.
Though it was a human city, and the former lord had been buying seeds for planting even if their farm land yielded very little result and the crops looks poor in nutrition and he also purchases food from other lords outside the Wilderness region to make sure his people did not die of hunger, however, it still did not change the fact that there was only so much he could do without a permanent solution to their food problem., especially when he always had the lion share.
So Alec made them realize that just by being under him, they now had the opportunity to enjoy good harvests, he also made it clear that he would not keep acting like a good Samaritan and delivering food to them every time.
He told them plainly that he was only interested in maintaining this arrangement until they grew their first crops.
While the residents of the former human lord’s city had been won over after seeing the benefits of having Alec as their city lord, the situation was vastly different for the humans who had once lived under the Orc lord.
