Chapter 525: Chapter 105: Record Reaper! The Battle for Wang Shuo! The Best Start in History! Even God Is Helping Dortmund

Wang Shuo made a quick diagonal run to catch the ball. Facing Pareja, he first came to a dead stop, then suddenly exploded forward on a breakthrough, shaking off his defender and blasting a shot with his left foot.

The poor Argentine center-back!

Pareja was on the verge of despair!

He never imagined that Wang Shuo and Dortmund would relentlessly target him like this.

’How can they bully someone like this?’

’I’m just a nobody!’

’Are you just going to single me out and keep tearing me down?’

’I’m a person, I have dignity too!’

Fortunately, Dortmund slowed their offensive push starting in the second half.

Although they created several excellent chances, they were unable to find the back of the net again.

The most threatening of these was a long-range shot from Shahin.

Unfortunately, it was just slightly off target.

In the end, Dortmund came away with a 2-0 victory on the road.

With that, after four rounds of group stage matches, Dortmund had three wins and one draw, putting them in first place with 10 points.

In the fourth round, Lyon lost 3-4 away to Benfica.

As a result, Benfica was second with 6 points, while Lyon was third with only 5.

Having lost their last two matches to Dortmund, Spartak Moscow was left with just 1 point, their hopes of advancing from the group all but dashed.

Looking at the group standings, Dortmund had all but secured the top spot.

...

「Afternoon of November 7th, Hanover AWD Stadium.」

In the 11th round of the Bundesliga, Dortmund was away to challenge Hannover 96.

Dortmund, who had been on an unstoppable tear recently, came out aggressive from the opening whistle.

The first shot of the match came from a long-range effort by Götze from outside the box.

Wang Shuo had already moved into a better position, but Götze, in his haste to shoot from distance, squandered a golden opportunity.

But it wasn’t long before Shahin threaded a precise, low pass into the left side of the penalty area.

With his back to the goal, Wang Shuo executed a perfect trap-and-turn. He cut inside, dribbling horizontally and dragging three Hannover 96 defenders with him from the left side of the box all the way to the right of the penalty spot. Only then did he find his opening, winding up his right foot and unleashing a daisy-cutter of a shot.

The ball practically skimmed the turf as it rocketed into the bottom-right corner of Hannover 96’s goal.

1-0!

That goal completely ignited Dortmund’s passion.

A mere eight minutes later, another long ball came from the back.

Hannover 96 launched a counterattack after winning possession, but Schmelzer intercepted the ball on the left wing. He immediately sent a long, diagonal pass back into the penalty area.

With his back to the goal, Wang Shuo used his body to shield the ball from Hannover 96’s center-back, Haji, and laid it off perfectly for Reus, who was making a run from deep.

The lay-off was so deft that Reus, arriving on the scene, didn’t even need to take a touch before striking it with his right foot.

The ball once again found the back of the Hannover 96 net.

2-0!

But Dortmund’s assault wasn’t over.

Wang Shuo’s form was improving by the minute, his performance growing more ferocious.

He was simply unstoppable.

In the 35th minute, Wang Shuo dropped back to midfield to receive a pass from Götze. He turned, shook off his defender, and charged forward with the ball on a solo run.

Pinched between two defenders, Wang Shuo sent a diagonal pass toward the left edge of the penalty area, looking for Reus, who was playing up top.

But Reus lost the aerial duel to Haji, who headed the ball clear.

But Wang Shuo, who had just made the pass, had already charged into the 30-meter area. Despite being surrounded by two defenders, he forcefully won back the ball that Haji had just headed away.

After winning the ball, Wang Shuo broke through between the two defenders and charged to the edge of the penalty area before laying it off to the left. Reus, making no mistake this time, met the ball in stride and tapped it into the goal.

3-0!

Little Rocket had scored a brace!

And both of his goals had come from Wang Shuo’s assists.

This made Reus particularly ecstatic. During the celebration, he made a point to hug Wang Shuo and thank him profusely.

After play resumed in the second half, Dortmund executed a quick combination down the right flank.

Piszczek sprinted down the right touchline, receiving a through ball from Kuba. He drove into the right side of the box and sent a low cross from the byline toward the front of the goal.

But the cross was too close to the right post.

Wang Shuo arrived at full tilt, but with two defenders and the goalkeeper converging on him, he had absolutely no angle to shoot.

But just as everyone thought Wang Shuo would either force a shot or simply shield the ball, he was struck by a flash of Spiritual Light. He took a step forward with his left foot and used his right heel to flick the cross from the right back behind him.

The ball passed back between the two center-backs.

At that moment, Hannover 96’s sprawling penalty area was completely empty, save for the six-yard box.

Götze, arriving late, had time to take a touch and shoot into what was practically an empty net.

4-0!

As Wang Shuo turned, Götze came leaping at him.

"Bro, an assist hat-trick!" Götze cried, ecstatic.

Wang Shuo waited for the kid’s initial burst of excitement to pass before slinging an arm around his neck.

"If you had been a bit sharper earlier," Wang Shuo said, "forget an assist hat-trick, I’d have scored a hat-trick of my own!"

Götze nodded sheepishly.

It was hard to say whether Dortmund was playing exceptionally well, or if Hannover 96 was just having a terrible day.

Regardless, every offensive play Dortmund tried seemed to work and create a dangerous opportunity.
