Chapter 2637: Chapter 2637: Fallen Land, Borrowing Your Divine Skills!
"The Land of Chaotic Streams?"
Carson Flores blinked and cautiously asked, "Is it that Land of Chaotic Streams that trapped you for six thousand years, Senior?"
Varric Combs’ expression stiffened, then he angrily said, "What else could it be? That place has overlapping spaces and countless streams of chaos, making it impossible to guess by normal logic. One misstep could lead to a deadly peril. Even though I’m a Quasi-Saint, in such a place, only by advancing cautiously could I barely survive."
"I entered unprepared at first and was forcibly trapped there for six thousand years. Over that long period, I roughly figured out the rules here. With my strength, coupled with the treasures collected by my sect for me, and your Incarnation abilities, we will certainly be able to enter completely and return safely."
Carson curiously asked, "If the Land of Chaotic Streams is so dangerous, what attracts you there, Senior, that you’re willing to explore at such great risk?"
Varric Combs responded quite frankly, "The Land of Chaotic Streams is the Fallen Land of a Space System Quasi-Saint. I figure that a Quasi-Saint, especially a Space System Quasi-Saint, must be very wealthy, with many good things. Therefore, I’m preparing to explore it. Essentially, it’s tomb robbing."
"This Fallen Land has many streams of chaos, difficult for a Quasi-Saint to pass, and there are human traces. I figure it was done by that Quasi-Saint, either to protect their tomb from being found or as a test left behind, waiting for someone with destiny."
"Regardless of which reason, since I’ve set my sights on it and was trapped for six thousand years, if I don’t explore this place thoroughly, wouldn’t those six thousand years have been in vain?"
Carson understood the reason but couldn’t help asking, "Space System Quasi-Saints are synonymous with power. Do you really have confidence, Senior?"
Varric Combs snorted, "What, kid, you don’t have faith in me? I’m part of the Space Series too. Although my Space Divine Power is a bit unconventional and not for direct combat, it’s still a Space Divine Power. Previously, I went alone and unprepared, and I didn’t die, did I? Let alone now, I’m well-prepared."
You did indeed survive, but you were trapped for six thousand years!
Carson, despite some worry, wasn’t overly concerned. As Varric Combs mentioned, he was sealed inside for six thousand years and didn’t die. Now, going prepared can hardly make things worse than before, right?
Carson’s concern was about his own strength. Varric Combs was powerful and could withstand issues, but Carson’s weakness meant if trouble arose and he wasn’t protected, wouldn’t he be doomed to die?
Even with some concerns, Carson readily agreed, "Alright, since you said it’ll be fine, it surely will be. I trust you, Senior."
Varric Combs naturally understood Carson’s worry and assured, "Rest easy, as long as you follow my lead, you’ll be safe. Plus, I’m bringing Hendrix too. If there were real danger, would I bring him?"
Carson smiled, "Although I’m indeed a bit worried, I believe in you, Senior."
Varric Combs explained again, "The directions in the Land of Chaotic Streams are hard to discern, and different areas hide lethal traps. But as long as we explore step by step, along with my research experience over the years, we will definitely succeed. At worst, we can return safely without being trapped."
Carson already understood the reason Varric Combs wanted to bring him along—it was simply to use his Incarnation to scout paths, after all, using lives to scout paths is also a common exploration method in a Secret Realm.
Given the complex environment, even catching some Cultivators to act as pathfinders might not be useful, so his Divine Skills that aren’t afraid of death but can sense the Incarnation were naturally the best choice.
Carson asked, "When do we set off?"
Varric Combs answered, "We still need to make some preparations, but we can prepare as we go. Over this period, I suspect the entire Myriad Immortals Palace will go crazy. Our venture to explore the Land of Chaotic Streams will conveniently avoid this storm, and once it’s over, everything will calm down."
Carson thought Varric Combs made a lot of sense. After all, he came to the West Prison for personal reasons, and now that both personal matters had found some direction, hiding away wasn’t a waste of time.
Anyway, his lifespan was terrifyingly long, so time was hardly an issue.
As they spoke, Snow Zane, who was lying unconscious on the ground, suddenly let out a muffled grunt, spat out a mouthful of blood, then gasped heavily a few times before opening her eyes.
Snow Zane woke up!
Carson lowered his head and asked with concern, "Cave Master, how do you feel?"
Snow Zane assessed her physical state with a flash of surprise in her eyes, "What did you give me?"
"The Spirit Buddha Pill."
Carson replied, "It should maintain your current state and prevent further deterioration, but it cannot heal you. Don’t worry; I’m an Alchemist. I can refine various healing elixirs. Gradually, with some elixirs, you’ll recover step by step. As long as you live, there’ll be a day when you’ll fully recover."
Snow Zane’s gaze stayed complexly on Carson. The Spirit Buddha Pill was incredibly valuable, essentially a life for a Cultivator.
And he was willing to let her take such medicine?
