Chapter 2127: The First Mistake

As Arad took a seat on Isdis’s throne, he could feel a powerful surge of her divine magic. He was getting linked to the entire heaven through the throne, and for some reason, he could act as a better conduit than even Isdis herself. The amount of divine magic he was used to pulling out of Kali was far larger, so handling this wasn’t bad at all.

He wasn’t using Isdis’s divine magic, just acting as a conduit, a central pillar that the divine power uses to spread all over the heaven. And the moment Arad took over, the entire planet shook. Unlike Isdis, Arad was able to let a far bigger current of divine magic out, and even spread it evenly across the planet since everything was already located in the vast space of his stomach.

The angels flying everywhere and working had to pause for a second as the divine magic they were using to build and move mountains suddenly quadrupled, and it had become far clearer and stronger, as if Isdis had suddenly turned from a newborn goddess to a veteran that had served for thousands of years.

Even if Arad were a dragon, even if he were a pricolici, just by sheer development and the raw durability of his physical body, he could already sustain more divine magic than many lesser gods. It is true that he didn’t have a portfolio, so he couldn’t produce divine magic on his own -at least normally, like the other gods-, but since Eris and Isdis are inside his stomach, he could use theirs with ease.

What Arad was doing now was sucking all of the divine magic that Isdis was actively leaking and unable to fully control, then redirecting it just to one place, the throne, which spread it across the entire world like an antenna. Any other mortal would’ve long since been killed and torn apart, yet he easily endured.

But then, as if trying to pull on the strings of Isdis’s and Eris’s minds, just to enrage them, Amaterasu appeared, sitting on Arad’s lap. "Now this is a comfortable place, isn’t it?" As she spoke and stretched, Arad’s eyes moved down, glaring right at her with a dark purple glow.

Amaterasu was technically AO’s daughter, since he directly created her, even if the concept of family wasn’t a thing at the time she first appeared. It would be more accurate to see her as a creation, a thing that he made, and by mistake on top of that.

Even with how powerful and arrogant she was, she still sought a bit of care, of love, and parental approval. So while sitting on Arad’s lap might trigger his wives, she won’t let their anger get between her and sitting on her father’s lap. She had never expected that a day would come when she would be stronger than him, the same way he was stronger than her in the past.

Isdis and Eris stared at her for a long second, and then sighed. "What brought you here?" Eris approached, and Amaterasu just looked back at her with a smile. "Many reasons, one of which is to rest here for a bit."

She then pointed back at Isdis, "Since peace is dead and you took her place, the god’s army is in a bit of a pickle. She was our best healer, and without her, our soldiers take ages to heal, so I can’t be as aggressive in my methods."

"It’s not like we killed her, and you can’t expect me to control all of this power in a day." Isdis approached and glared right at Amaterasu’s face with crossed arms. "So, for now, would you mind getting off his lap?"

"I was thinking..." Amaterasu looked back at Arad and then turned back toward Eris and Isdis with a large grin on her face. "... sure, why not?" She swung her legs and was immediately propelled forward toward a pale white cloud that appeared out of thin air.

As they saw her move away from Arad, the two relaxed a bit. Out of everyone in the entire universe, Amaterasu might be the only one they can’t deal with. "Why did you come here?" Eris glared at her, and Amaterasu smiled from ear to ear.

"Of course, because of you and Isdis here. You still need to make a Gravastar, and she needs to master her power before peace gets forgotten." Amaterasu shifted on the cloud and then flicked her long, thin fingers, quickly spawning a tiny star above her palm.

Isdis and Eris had to pause for a second, since something needed to be addressed about Amaterasu, and it was the way she carried herself, always trying to look as seductive as possible, even here in front of them.

She looked as if she had come fresh out of the bath, wore her kimono loosely, and certainly had no underwear underneath. On top of that, the eternal blush on her face, the way she moved her hands and bare feet, the way she breathed and turned on the soft cloud, and how each of her words was spoken in a slightly deep, moaning voice for some reason.

She was a real danger that shouldn’t be left around Arad. They knew he was a sucker for older, mature women, and especially the strong ones. Amaterasu is old, beautiful, and far more powerful than anything Arad could dream of.

Even now, she was looking at them with her cleavage clearly open, and Arad, who was behind her, was getting a direct view of her massive butt and wiggling toes... looking at it, why is she on all fours with her back arched nicely?

"I don’t mind strife, but peace is very nice. If you had become a demigoddess first, it would’ve been easy for me to take over your job for a while, but since you’re a divine now... It’s a bit more complicated." She flicked the sun toward Eris, who caught it in her hand.

This tiny, apple-sized star burned brightly, and it could only exist because Amaterasu is keeping it whole. "That is extra energy for you to subsidize what you used here on Isdis’s heaven." Amaterasu then gave Isdis a smile, "And for you, the divine goddess of control and peace."

As serious as this conversation was, Eris and Isdis couldn’t get out of their heads how Amaterasu turned every ’a’ she uttered into a long moan, followed by a faint twitch and a slight shift in her posture.

Isdis gulped, feeling as if Amaterasu’s gaze was piercing her soul directly, and she wasn’t that far off. Amaterasu was looking at the integrity of the link between her soul and the portfolio, trying to see if there were any cracks that formed due to how suddenly Isdis got the power, and she was right: there were a lot of cracks.

"The chain between your soul and the portfolio is cracked, and eventually, you’ll be consumed by the power if you don’t do anything about it." Amaterasu threw the tiny sun to Eris and sat up. She reached up and grabbed the seams of her kimono, and then pulled it open.

In that second, both Isdis and Eris cried, expecting to see the goddess’s breasts exploding forward, but what they saw wasn’t flesh but pure light and darkness burning inside the body like the flames of creation, expanding and contracting faster than the eye could even see.

Arad and his wives had scared many people to death with their raw power, but this was their time to feel true fear and horror. Both Eris and Isdis shat themselves on the spot, and when Arad jumped up from the throne to look, he, too, froze like a terrified cockroach.

Forget all laws, all the gods, and all the souls he had ever seen. Amaterasu’s soul wasn’t just massive or powerful; it wasn’t even on a whole other level. What his eyes saw didn’t make any sense, but he still understood the scope of her soul, even if he couldn’t hope to fully understand what he was looking at.

All of AO’s direct creations have died, except for a few powerful beings like Amaterasu and Yggdrasil, which begs the question. How come Creation, Destruction, Stillness, and Entropy had died and were reborn several times? It is understandable that Yggdrasil, a tree that is a simple life form, could survive alongside its sister, but at first, Amaterasu was the only one that didn’t make sense.

Why she, a Nymph, had stayed alive all this time, and even turned into such a horrifying divine. Her soul was the answer, mirroring the expansive universe itself, reflecting the image of every star that was ever born, and those that are being born now. Eris struggled with one star, and wrecked herself trying to spawn a Neutron star, but Amaterasu here causally has millions of them acting like lighthouses across the entire universe.

But then, they couldn’t care less about her power now, because her soul... was as big as her stars could reach, matching the universe in size, and sometimes surpassing it when Amaterasu is flying outside and spreading her stars to fight.

While Eris and Isdis were horrified by the sheer expanse of the divine before them, Arad was horrified at another thought... He remembered exactly why Amaterasu is so powerful and unique, and why she might be the only existence to ever scare AO, to scare him in the past.

She was his first mistake.
