Chapter 201: A system for me too?

For someone who seemed unbothered by people, she would stand up for her friends when they needed her just the way she stood up for Ivy.

Daisy Chen was a great mother, friend, daughter, sister, and the most beautiful woman.

And Ryle knew he could not count his blessings with one hand if he wanted to calculate all of them that led him to her.

She was a blessing to him and she was telling him he was great.

He found it rather funny but he had no intentions of correcting her. Whatever made her happy.

He pulled her in his arms, "They had retrieved my grandparents’ body but my sister’s body was never there."

Daisy looked up at him, "So, you didn’t let the hope die."

"I have faith, Daze. I never stopped believing that she is alive. Somewhere out there, she is alive and well, unaware that she has a brother who is looking for her," Ryle sighed. It was like an instinct, like a faith that came from within.

"So, the drug cartel..."

"Yes, they were the ones involved in that matter. I never stopped looking for her and these years, I have come across many girls but all of them have led to disappointments."

Daisy understood it. He lost his sister when she was young so he did not even have the image of the person he was looking for.

"What about this time? What do you think?" Daisy thought of the girl she saw in the picture.

"She has the birthmark. She is one of the victims of the drug cartel. Although I have rescued the batch of women before anything happened to them, they are still traumatized by what they went through.

She is not in the right state. So, I let her settle in my mansion for now. After she grows comfortable, I will get the DNA test done."

Daisy’s eyes sparkled when she saw the cautiousness in his eyes, "That’s considerate of you," she smiled when he looked at her questioningly, "Nobody is more eager than you to know whether she is your sister or not but you are so patient. There is a possibility that she might be your sister so you don’t want to scare her away. You still want to refuse?"

"Refuse what?"

"That you..." she poked his chest with the tip of her index finger, "...are a softie."

Ryle was speechless.

"Why did you come back so abruptly?" Daisy asked him.

"I had been held back by those matters for so long. Naturally, I was missing you," Moreover, his guards were sending him all sorts of updates, implying that his woman would be stolen away if he continued to stay there.

"What about her?"

It was not hard to figure out that the ’her’ Daisy was implying to was the girl who could be his sister.

"She is in the mansion. There are many guards there and I have hired some new servants for the place."

Daisy nodded, "It’s a place with good security."

She did not pursue the topic any further. Even though Ryle did not talk about it, it was obvious that while there was a possibility that the girl was his sister, it was not a fact yet.

So, it would be better for him to not let his hopes soar high till everything was confirmed.

"When will you show me around?" Daisy questioned the man, in an attempt to distract him.

Ryle saw through her intentions right away. His heart melted.

"Right away, princess!" He held her hand and showed her around the place.

The kitchen, the master bedroom, the guest room and there was even a study... The place was rather small compared to both their mansions but Daisy liked how cozy and comfortable it felt.

Before Daisy could say anything, her phone started ringing.

When she saw that it was Ivy, she knew that today’s incident must have spread like wildfire.

With her not returning to the mansion, everyone must be concerned.

"Give me some time. I will just talk to her..." she was also quite worried about Angel.

Ryle saw through her worries. He pulled out his phone and turned it over for her to see.

A queue of texts and pictures greeted Daisy’s vision.

’Little Miss is watching TV’ with an attachment.

The picture showed Angel sitting on the couch as she watched TV with focus.

’Little Miss just had her dinner’ with an attachment.

’Little Miss is playing with Miss Ivy..’

Daisy stopped scrolling, feeling rather relieved.

In the next moment, a thought crossed her mind.

As Ryle felt her piercing gaze on her, he could not help but gulp. He had a bad feeling about this, "Uh... Is there something on my face?"

"Tell me, is there such a system for me too?" She glared at the man. She knew that his men usually followed her around for her safety but she wondered what else they were up to. frёewebηovel.cѳm

Ryle coughed, "Usually, they keep an eye on Angel so closely only when both of us are away."

"What about me?"

"They don’t..." As she narrowed his eyes, he sighed, "Only when there are pests who are pestering you endlessly."

Daisy was speechless.

"You can’t expect me to sit idly while they try their luck on you right?"

This possessive man.

As she looked at the man, she suddenly visualized a big dog whose ears were drooping.

She stood on her tiptoes and kissed his chin, her hand reaching to ruffle his hair.

Ryle gazed at her lips but just as he leaned in, she pressed her palm on his mouth and sent him away, "I have to call Ivy first. Then, Secretary Han."

Ryle kissed the top of her head, "Alright. I will go to the supermarket and get some things. Then we can have our dinner together."

Daisy’s eyes lit up as she nodded. She had not even touched any food at Lu Family’s event so she was starving at that point.

Initially, she had intended to get over with it soon and go back to the mansion but as the things escalated over there, she was not in the right mood.

It was a good thing that Ryle brought her away. She did not want Angel to see her like that or be affected by her mood.
