’’Ethics don’t really faze me a lot,’’ Daisy propped her forehead on her fist as she watched Secretary Han presenting the contract to the man.

’’Why should it bother you if you have no such crafty ideas, Director Yu?" Daisy twirled the paperweight in her vacant hand without looking at the man.
’’This is sheer injustice. You can even sue me for fraud the moment I sell my shares without consulting you... I refuse to sign this,’’ the man stood up to leave.
’’Oh,’’ Daisy looked up, ’’If you refuse to sign this contract then you are not allowed to step out of this place.’’
As soon as her words dropped, six muscular men appeared at the door, blocking Director Yu’s path. The man was coerced into his seat while two people stood on each side and two people remained standing behind him.
Vice President Chen could not keep her calm anymore, ’’Are you people going to sit back and watch this fiasco? If this happens to Director Yu today, just know that it can happen to you tomorrow as well.’’
Daisy looked at the woman who was sporting a righteous expression, ’’Tomorrow? Let’s make it today.’’
As soon as her words dropped, Secretary Han pulled out another contract and put it in front of Chen Lina. Two bodyguards from Director Yu’s side shifted to Chen Lina and stood behind her.
Chen Lina almost spouted a mouthful of blood. It was fine if she did not say anything but the moment she opened her mouth to speak, a contract was pulled up in front of her as well. She barely owned only four percent shares of the company that was given to her by her late father, the brother of Daisy’s grandfather but she did not know she would be put into such a situation. Or, she would have kept her calm longer.
The remaining people in the room did not dare to move. Some of them who had initially wanted to say something sewed their mouths shut, worried that another contract would be thrown in front of them.
Daisy leaned back on the chair and looked at the people, ’’Take 30 seconds to gather yourself to sign properly.’’
’’We reclaim the full right of these shares and no matter what you do, I am not going to sign these ridiculous papers,’’ Chen Lina scoffed, ’’It’s good that your grandfather is already dead or he would have been so disappointed to see such an uncultured brat sitting on the chair that he worked so hard for. She knew her way around things so she had the confidence to act the way she wanted without fearing any repercussions. Moreover, when Helian Chen was around, even despite the discontent that the man might have expressed towards her at times, he still tolerated her out of respect for her late father.
So, naturally, she had assumed that the same would be the case with Daisy. Chen Lina had never imagined that Daisy would go beyond the threats at any cost.

Caleb’s lips twitched when he saw their dumbfounded faces, ’’You guys should resign and get your old asses out of here. You are not fit for the corporate world since you are so contained in your egos to look at the bigger picture.’’
’’COO Astor, even though your position is ranked above us, it doesn’t mean you will look down on us.’’
Caleb chuckled, ’’Well, you need to be worthy for me to not look down on you,’’ he leaned back on the chair, seemingly exhausted, ’’You little girl, your father has left you to handle the complexities of this company. Since uncle couldn’t see you being so helpless, uncle had to help you out. I feel so weak now,’’ he sighed, looking as if he was on the verge of collapse.
Daisy’s lips twitched.

If Daisy was helpless, then what were Chen Lina and Director Yu who were still restrained in their spots, unable to move and do anything?
’’It seems like I came right on time. The place seems so lively.’’
Daisy frowned at the sound of the familiar voice. Even without looking up, she knew who the voice belonged to.
Other than Daisy, two other people had a change of expressions in the entire meeting room. Those were Chen Lina and Director Yu. They struggled to look behind but they were restrained by Daisy’s guards.
Lu Xian stepped inside the meeting room followed by his bodyguards. But before they could follow him inside, he raised his hand and they retreated from the place.
Daisy’s eyes narrowed.
’’President Lu, you are here,’’ Chen Lina’s eyes lit up.
The truth was, that the shares that everyone was talking about no longer belonged to her and Director Yu. They had long compromised those company shares and made dealings with the head of the Lu Corporation. The whole process was finished with the assistance of Lu Xian’s secretary but when the deal was finalized, Lu Xian had made a small appearance.
