Zhu Wanqi took the box into the bedroom and placed it on her vanity.
After taking everything out, she discovered a handwritten card at the bottom. At the top, the words "Instructions for Use" were written in large script.
Below that was beautiful, elegant calligraphy.
There were five items in the box. One was a cleansing cream for washing her face, and its instructions were written in great detail.
Then there was a toner, a lotion, and a medicated cream. There was also an eye cream, which claimed to reduce crow’s feet.
Zhu Wanqi’s eyes lit up.
She was in her thirties and no longer a young girl. With each passing year, wrinkles had appeared at the corners of her eyes. She was anxious about them but felt powerless to do anything.
Seeing this eye cream now, she felt as if she had stumbled upon a priceless treasure.
She couldn’t wait to test it, but then she remembered the instructions said to first wash her face with the cleansing cream.
So, she had to set the eye cream aside and take the cleansing soap to wash her face.
Her face was constantly red, swollen, and stinging from an allergic reaction. It was covered in bumps, making it incredibly uncomfortable—both painful and itchy. To make matters worse, she had recently been applying all sorts of products, from ointments to face oils, which had caused some of her pimples to fester, making the open sores even more agonizing.
But after using the cleansing soap, the stinging, redness, and swelling on her face immediately subsided. It left behind a refreshingly comfortable sensation. Only the festering sores remained unchanged.
She had avoided the festering areas while washing her face.
After washing her face, she followed the instructions and applied the products one by one. Instantly, her entire face felt soothed.
Zhu Wanqi’s eyes lit up.
"This stuff really is incredible."
Remembering there were only two sets of this product, Zhu Wanqi couldn’t restrain herself. She immediately shot up and rushed to the study.
She always knocked, but this time she didn’t even think to.
Zhang Tianming had been writing, and the sudden noise startled him so much he dragged his pen across the paper, leaving an ugly streak.
He looked up, watching his wife with concern.
’Don’t tell me something went wrong with that skincare stuff!’
Zhu Wanqi paid no mind to Zhang Tianming’s thoughts, rushing to his side and saying anxiously, "Tianming, there are only two sets of that skincare! You have to go buy the other one for me!"
Zhang Tianming was speechless.
’We just bought one set, why does she want another?’
Before he could even react, his wife had already grabbed a nearby jacket and draped it over his shoulders.
"Go, now! You have to buy it, you hear me? Otherwise, you can forget about ever setting foot in my room again!"
With that, she pushed and shoved him toward the door.
"Hurry up and get back quick, you hear? You have to figure out a way to buy it. It doesn’t matter if you have to spend more money."
As Zhang Tianming saw his wife about to shut the door, he quickly put his hand on the frame to stop it. "Wait, Wan Qi, why do you suddenly want to buy another set? We just bought this one. Maybe we should wait."
Zhu Wanqi was losing her patience.
"We can’t wait! There are only two sets in total. If we wait, Lu Yuanbin will sell the other one!"
"Besides, look at my face. Don’t you see a difference?"
She leaned closer, thrusting her face toward him.
Zhang Tianming looked closely and saw that Zhu Wanqi’s face wasn’t as red as before. It seemed to have gotten a little better.

’It’s a good thing I looked so closely earlier, or I’d think I was just imagining this improvement!’
