Chapter 247: Secret Location
"Where are we going for the bachelorette party?" Skyla asked yet again but all she received from Huria was a wink as they got dressed.
Huria had on a shimmering cobalt blue slip dress which barely reached her thighs. Gaudy eyeshadow and dark lipstick, revealing she meant to fully enjoy today’s evening. Chocolate brown hair of hers were knotted up and curls were let loose. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
She ironed Skyla’s auburn hair straight. Adorning the shaded halter neck dress as her hair, Skyla was checking on different earrings to see which one would go with her dress.
She settled on loop-sided ones with red rubies studded in them.
Huria pinned the front of her straightened locks at the back with the help of her pin and let others remain loose. She finger-combed them to her waist and said. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
"All done, let’s head out."
Skyla grabbed her red stiletto heels and put them on, her slim feet fitted perfectly in them. She grabbed her burgundy wristlet with redstone work and threw one look at herself, by turning left and right in front of the mirror.
Her make-up was blended shades of red and peach, she looked different and felt different too, more mature and sure of herself.
"Let’s do this." Skyla turned to her friend with a quirky smile and both headed out. Kail was ready for them with his hands clasped in front and adorning his black three-piece suit. He respectfully nodded and held the door open for the ladies so they could comfortably settle inside.
They headed off, Erdith had travelled all the way from Marica City to attend the wedding. She was to meet them with Mawar at the location Huria had chosen.
The wedding was in two days and all Skyla wanted to do was sit back, relax and enjoy spending time with the girls.
She was missing Zyair but knew he would be busy with the guys having his own bachelor party and making last-time arrangements.
So she decided to leave him a text.
[Hey, I am heading over with Huria and Kail to my bachelorette party. What are you guys up to?]
She didn’t have to wait much longer when her phone pinged and she received a reply from Zyair.
[Hey, My beautiful Lily. We are hitting Rais’s place for some barbeque and drinks. We will watch the football later but that’s about it for our night. Stay safe and enjoy yourself, send me your pictures. Miss you.]
A broad smile graced her lips reading his message.
[I miss you too and will do that. Love you.] She quickly typed, her thumbs moving fast on the keypad as Huria announced.
"We are here."
Skyla lifted her head to see where they were and was left stunned for a while. They were outside Mirage, the place she hadn’t set foot in in the last ten years, the place where she had met the love of her life.
With her mouth slightly ajar she turned to her best friend and asked in an amused tone.
"You had to bring me here?"
Kail had gotten down and opened the door for them so they stepped out of the car as Huria answered, intertwining her arm with Skyla.
"It all started here so I thought it would be nostalgic for you."
Kail followed them at a respectable distance. Skyla leaned in and slowly said to Huria so only she could hear.
"I know it holds a profound meaning for me but after what happened with Zyair, I am not so sure. What if more of the people who work here are doing it against their wishes? I think no one should be pushed into such a life."
"That was my concern too so I spoke to my dad and they have done a thorough survey of everyone working here. Those who wanted to leave were laid off with substantial incomes so they could start their life elsewhere. And now those who apply are hired with a consent form signed," Huria explained in detail as they reached the entrance gate.
The loud rock music seeped out and thumped like a live organ. The enthusiastic girls and women were heading inside the club, chattering among themselves.
Skyla’s heart eased with this information, Zyair’s story had made a difference and these clubs were at least trying to hire adults and with consent.
"Hey!" Someone called them out and they turned around to find Mawar and Erdith heading their way, waving their hands.
Mawar had a violet bodycon dress on while Erdith was donning a tight off-the-shoulder dress in a hot pink shade.
The girls embraced each other, kissing the air on the sides of each other’s faces.
"I am so glad you people are here," Skyla was beaming with happiness now, seeing her friends.
"We are so excited to join in this. Congratulations girl," Erdith answered with a hearty chuckle falling through her burgundy-painted lips and then her eyes fell on the heavily tattooed and muscled bodyguard of Skyla.
He was standing directly behind Skyla at a distance of three feet but his hawk-like sharp eyes were roaming all around assessing the situation and ensuring no one would come near them.
What a fine specimen he was to ogle at and Erdith was doing just that.
"Let’s head inside and begin the fun. I have so much planned for our night." Huria ushered them in and Skyla turned to face Kail.
"I will be right outside if you need me, ma’am. If anyone gives you trouble, just call me," he told her in that deep rumbling voice of his which hit Erdith in all the wrong places or one could say the right ones for her.
"Thank you! Kail, I will do that." Girls moved and made their way inside. Erdith peeled her eyes off the big broad man and followed them.
They showed their IDs and entered the famous 18+ club, the dazzling lights and loud music welcomed them and they loudly cheered seeing the atmosphere inside.
"Let the fun night begin," Huria loudly announced and led them forward to the place she had booked for the night.
