Chapter 184: Her Secret Comic

"Did I tire you?" Zyair had her in his arms as he stroked her long luscious hair while staring deep in her swirling emerald seas. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

"No, I enjoy every second with you."

’And I love the way you touch me and make me feel alive, the way you throbbed inside my mouth and lost control. I loved being dominated by you in that fashion and the way you devoured my mouth full of chocolate crumbs.’ The whole monologue was in her head, she didn’t have the courage to tell him all that.

"Would you like to watch the fish with me now? I am sure you didn’t the last time I asked you?" He raised his right brow while his lips twisted upwards to reveal a knowing smile. Skyla bit her lower lip before shyly answering.

"In my defence, I was occupied, otherwise."

He chuckled and ruffled her hair as both of them straightened their heads to stare upwards at the ceiling that extended to the vast vibrant aquarium with schools of fish in multiple hues swimming peacefully.

The peace and calm of the aquatic life extended to them and both of them couldn’t help but smile at the tranquillity of it. Zyair covered them both with a fluff blanket and Skyla cuddled with him, her heart swimming in the joys this man brought her.

"I want to get an aquarium like this one now. You are spoiling me, Zy," Skyla confessed, her fingers drawing small circles in the middle of his chest.

"And we will get it. I love spoiling you." Zyair kissed the top of her head.

He had thought of getting a larger space for himself, somewhere more private but this apartment was the one he bought from the money Skyla gave him and he didn’t want to part with it. He always found peace in that place and now it was imbued with her memories too.

"Mmm, you be the best boyfriend one can ever hope for," she let on in a dreamy voice, slightly startling him with her words. This was the first time she granted a name to their budding relationship.

"Will you tell something about yourself to this boyfriend of yours, something he doesn’t know? A secret if you may." He was more interested in watching her now than the watery abode on top of them.

Skyla thought for a while, she never revealed to him that she created comics on Webnovel. Because he was her boss before and it would have been too awkward but now he was so much more.

"I have created my comic on this amazing app called Webnovel." Skyla went on to explain how she enjoyed bringing life to the characters and storylines. Zyair quietly listened with a hint of a smile on his face.

"That’s quite an achievement, I am proud of my girl. Will you let me read?" He amusedly asked while in reality he was completely caught up with her story. He never missed an update or failed to send her gifts. He was super impressed when she had added that story of male lead bringing a pin for the female lead and decorating her hair with it.

"Of course, I will send you the link." She was excited, her voice and flushed face showed it. Doran never had any interest in her work but she knew Zyair would appreciate her.

"Thank you, can’t wait to see my girl’s creativeness. How is the feedback from readers?" Zyair asked, soaking in the closeness of her soft body.

"Amazing, there is this one reader who always sends me super gifts," she told him with pride and he couldn’t help but gush at her.

"Must really love your extraordinary mind and its brilliance."

"Yes, he always leaves tons of floating comments," she informed him with a jingling laugh that always mesmerised him.

"How do you know the person is he?" Zyair questioned, trying to hide his smirk.

"Just a hunch," she snuggled with him, turning so she could press her face in his hard chest, his bicep she was using as her personal pillow, "Beside his username is Kakashi."

"Really?" Zyair feigned innocence, trying to hide the laugh that was lingering on his lips.

"Yeah, one rich man he seems."

"Maybe, he has eyes on something else," Zyair cryptically said and Skyla tilted her head upwards and squinted her eyes.

"Something else?"

"Your talent, he can see it through your comic," Zyair had no intention of revealing his true identity. He didn’t want her to feel he was sending her gifts just for the sake of it and not because she was talented.

"Yes, I am just happy my readers appreciate my work. It was my dream to become a digital artist but he even tried to snatch that away from me. Didn’t even let me finish my degree. I had to do online courses to learn. He took away so much from me, I am not a complaining type but."

Sadness descended in her gorgeous eyes as the painful reminders of those nine years began to replay in her brain.

Zyair tensed seeing that look in her eyes. Will she ever be able to step out of the traumas that despicable man had left her with? It fractured and ripped Zyair’s heart and she might have to carry those painful memories with her throughout her life.

"A degree is just a piece of paper, Skyla. It doesn’t define what lies here." The tip of his index finger touched her forehead, "and here," and it slid down and pointed to where her heart was.

"I don’t have any degrees but I didn’t let that stop or deter me. You, my girl, are one extraordinary woman. You don’t need any degrees to show your talents. Together we will reach new heights."

His wise words eased the burdens she carried. He always knew the right words to say, she couldn’t help but stare into that oceanic wisdom the world called eyes.

"We will," she responded softly and hid in his comforting chest again.

That’s where she wished to be, this was her comfort zone. He was her one-winged angel, the very angel she had created in her comic too and he had enthusiastically read about.

"I wanted to reveal one last small secret too before you drift off because I was asked to."

"Mhmm," Skyla sleepily answered.

"Rais likes Huria, so try to nudge her a bit because she seems oblivious of him. I know she is single and Rais is a good guy," Zyair calmly told her.

"What?" Skyla’s eyes flitted open and Zyair chuckled at her reaction. frёewebnoѵēl.com

"Yeah, he confided in me. That’s one reason he arranged this trip, so let’s help out the poor guy."

"Wow! I had a hunch but I wasn’t sure. I hope Huria doesn’t find him bland, she gets tired of guys really fast. She is my bestie but yeah, her relationships suck big time," Skyla shook her head in amusement and Zyair was laughing out loud.

"Poor Rais has his work cut out for him. Let’s help him." Skyla nodded, she knew it was time Huria seriously thought about a relationship and settled down.
