Chapter 60: 60: Viltrumite Outpost Battle Countdown
With great power comes great responsibility... but first, you need to survive my training.
~ Hillel probably. xD

"The fuck is a Getsuga Tensho? I’m his father, I have the right to raise him!"
Homelander was clearly unconvinced.
"You are his dad, that’s true, but how do you plan on raising this kid? Bring him back to Vought Tower, have The Deep teach him to harass women, have A-Train get him hooked on Compound V, and then have him stand in front of a mirror and practice fake smiles just like you?"
Hillel gave a thumbs up. "Then Ryan is set for life!"
Homelander’s mouth twitched.
"I won’t let them influence Ryan..."
"You don’t get to decide that. Environment shapes a person, and you can’t provide a good educational environment for Ryan."
"But.."
Hillel interrupted him. "Your life consists of work and occasionally indulging your own twisted desires. Rather than saying this child needs you, it’s more like you want to use Ryan to satisfy your own emotional void."
Becca stood in the doorway, holding the baby Hillel had shoved into her arms, looking completely at a loss.
It seemed The Guardian wasn’t siding with Homelander?
Ryan hid behind his mother, secretly watching the two supermen.
Homelander’s expression shifted.
Hillel stood before Homelander and earnestly advised, "Hey, bro! Our generation is pretty much ruined. I like to get laid, and you’re an emotional bottomless pit, but you can’t let this kid follow in our footsteps."
"Listen to me. You just need to teach him superpowers—teach him how to fly, use heat vision, and control his strength. There are few people in the world better at that than you. But as for teaching him how to be a person... I have someone else in mind!"
Homelander looked up, clearly questioning him.
"Who do you plan on having teach my kid how to be a person?"
Hillel patted his chest. "Obviously it’s me. Who else could it be?"
"If you consider me a friend, let me be the child’s godfather. Even if he doesn’t grow up to be a saint, at least he’ll have basic moral values."
Upon hearing Hillel’s suggestion, Homelander displayed an expression of shock and disgust.
"Bro, are you going to teach him to start having orgies from a young age? Compared to you, I’m a pure-love warrior, alright!"
Homelander chose to attack the weakest point of Hillel’s moral compass.
"Do you even hear what you’re saying? Liking women older than you, and you call that pure love? That’s called a lack of love!"
"That’s called love!" Homelander emphasized.
"Yeah. ’Loving’ your mother figures and wanting to suckle on those titties like a kid while getting hard, what a great pure love that is!"
The two super men argued incessantly in the middle of the street.
Becca handed the baby to Ryan, then chose to cover Ryan’s ears so he wouldn’t hear their thunderous remarks.
Ryan’s eyebrows couldn’t help but twitch. His super hearing unlocked naturally.
People are always driven by the topics they are most interested in, unlocking infinite potential for gossip.
"Hey! Hey! Let’s stop arguing. I’m the child’s father, how did it end up that you’re his dad?" Homelander was the first to regain his composure.
If they kept arguing, they wouldn’t get any results even by daybreak.
Hillel picked his nose, looking indifferent. "It’s not impossible for me to be his dad, but the way I have to act with you, I’m feeling more like your dad!"
Homelander stood with his hands behind his back, looking stubborn and headstrong.
Hillel knew he couldn’t persuade him, so he’d just let the child give him a thunderous rejection!
That night. Hillel returned to his apartment and opened the system panel.
[Current Ability Points: 0 / 500,000]
[Bloodline Level: Lv.4]
[Viltrumite Outpost Battle Countdown: 29 days 23 hours 41 minutes]
[At that time, the host will be teleported to the designated battlefield to complete the Holy War mission]
[Battlefield Information: Unknown]
[Opponent Information: Unknown]
[Note: During the teleportation, time in the main world will completely stop until the host returns. Prepare everything. The Holy War is unavoidable and cannot be postponed.]
Hillel looked at the information on the panel and frowned slightly.
Unknown? Unknown my ass?
Hillel closed the system panel and shook his head. What will be, will be.
He didn’t believe that with his current strength, any kind of Holy War could threaten him.
"Let’s watch two episodes of One Piece tonight. Come to think of it, it seems like it’s on hiatus again, right? Should I fly over there and slap the old author twice?"
Hillel took a can of cola from the fridge.
He thought about it and decided not to watch it yet. He’d finally saved up two episodes, and they’d be gone in a flash if he watched them now.
"Let’s play Mortal Kombat. The Guardian vs. Loser Homelander!" Hillel picked up the controller again.
He had only just started a match when his phone rang.
Starlight: I want to battle until late tonight! ( •̀ .̫ •́ )✧
Hillel calculated the time. It had been 45.7 hours since he had last ventured into the tiger’s den.
Half an hour later. Annie returned to the battlefield. She was wearing a loose hoodie, her hair tied up in a casual ponytail, and she was bare-faced.
She kicked off her shoes upon entering and walked over barefoot.
"I missed you!"
"Is that all you missed?"
Hillel stripped her in 0.04 seconds!
"Unh!"
"I discovered... I... I think I can fly!"
Annie’s eyes had halos shining brightly. Her hands were pressed above the pillow by Hillel, and her consciousness was like a small boat tossing in a storm.
"Don’t you fly every time? Tell me, how many times do you want to fly tonight?" Hillel didn’t care.
"N-no... I mean superpowers." Annie bit her lip, her eyes never dimming.
"Tsk tsk, others rely on training to strengthen their abilities. You have it much easier." Hillel chose to increase the vibration frequency of the engine. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
That night, the lights for half a street nearby were all drained by Annie.
...
The next day. Vought
Tower, underground training room.
Cate Dunlap and Jordan Li stood before Hillel with serious expressions.
"There is only one training goal today." Hillel stood in the center of the training room with his hands in his pockets.
"To push you past your limits..."
"Cate, your telepathy and control abilities need to be disembodied as much as possible."
"Jordan, you need to be able to destroy a building with one light blast in your female form, and in your male form, just be able to withstand one-thousandth of my power."
Jordan and Cate looked at each other and swallowed hard.
"S-sir, what is one-thousandth of your power...?"
Hillel simply stomped his foot. An earthquake was triggered that extended from the main Vought building across about three blocks.
Cate’s legs went weak, and she had to lean against the wall to stay standing.
Jordan’s eyes widened, looking at the spiderweb cracks extending from under Hillel’s feet. He could trigger an earthquake with just a casual stomp?
And she had to withstand such an attack? No way, she would turn into a blood mist!
"Boss, I’ll take my clothes off right now, just... go easy on me, please!" Jordan transformed into her female form and quickly stripped off her clothes. freewёbnoνel.com
"Training is not possible, really not possible, I’ll die!"
"The Guardian’s power is... is too great!" Cate shed tears of happiness.
She was trying to bolt for the door. Hillel used his Omega Beams to weld the steel door shut into a solid piece.
"Crying? Crying counts as part of the time, you know! And Jordan, put on your damn clothes back!"
Next, Jordan underwent a training session worse than death—though, of course, Hillel only used a very, very small amount of power.
Cate looked terrified.
"Don’t come over here!"
And Hillel let out a sinister laugh.
"Kekeke!"
"Whether you remain nobodies or become world-famous depends on how much you can withstand!"
"Chotto matte, onii-chan!!!!"
