Chapter 995: Chapter 995: Two Sides Face Off
Summer Monroe was utterly enraged.
She clenched her teeth, gathering all her strength to stomp on Aaron’s toes, but Aaron seemed to anticipate her intention and moved his foot away just in time.
Summer Monroe stepped into thin air, her face turning bright red instantly.
"Let go of me!"
Principal Payne also stepped forward to scold, "Aaron, what’s this behavior in school? Let go of Summer Monroe immediately!"
Aaron frowned, about to speak, when he suddenly felt a chill approaching.
His body instinctively pushed Summer Monroe aside quickly, then swiftly sidestepped two steps back.
In the next moment, a dagger flew past where he had been standing, and with a "thunk," it embedded itself in the wall ahead.
If he hadn’t dodged just now, that flying knife would have impaled his heart without a miss.
Everyone was startled.
A slap is one thing, but why is a knife coming into play?
Aaron’s eyes were already brimming with hostility as he looked in the direction from which the knife had flown.
Summer Monroe finally regained her freedom, immediately stepping back away from Aaron, then also raised her eyes towards the origin of the flying knife.
The figure standing there was tall and straight, clad in black, with cold glints in his black eyes, as if an iceberg was hidden beneath his gaze.
It’s Damian Knight!
Summer Monroe’s eyes instantly lit up.
"Damian Knight!"
Damian Knight strode forward, protecting Summer Monroe before him, and turned his eyes apologetically, saying, "Sorry for being late."
When Damian Knight looked at Summer Monroe, the cold glint in his eyes faded, filled with deep affection, profound and gentle, yet carrying a slight chill.
Summer Monroe shook her head, no, he wasn’t late; his mere appearance was already enough to surprise her.
She thought he was still in Rivain.
"It’s you." Aaron looked at Damian Knight with a half-smile, the amusement never reaching his eyes.
Damian Knight turned his head, his cold gaze landing on Aaron.
This face was unfamiliar to him.
"Who are you?" Damian Knight narrowed his eyes dangerously, exuding pressure.
"Me..." Aaron curled his lips, looking at Summer Monroe, said, "Her man."
Damian Knight’s face instantly darkened.
In the next moment, he rushed forward, swiftly gripping Aaron’s throat.
Aaron’s eyes looked at the suddenly close Damian Knight, disbelief flooding them.
An ordinary person, with a speed unexpectedly fast enough that even he, trained in Ancient Martial Arts from a young age, couldn’t react...
How is this possible?
"Say that again?" Damian Knight almost snarled the words through gritted teeth, the force in his hand increasing, as if he could crush Aaron’s neck any second.
Aaron finally came to his senses from the pain.
But his eyes showed no trace of fear, he smiled provocatively, saying, "No wonder the famous Chairman Knight is extraordinary. However, if you kill me here, can you really walk away unscathed?"
"Why don’t you see if I can?"
Damian Knight was about to act when suddenly a group of black-clad bodyguards emerged in unison.
Damian Knight coldly spoke, "Do you think just these few people can take me on?"
As the words fell, a group of people in The Vanguard uniforms charged backstage.
The two sides faced off, neither giving ground.
Backstage, including Principal Payne, everyone was utterly stunned.
This was no longer a mere fight; with The Vanguard involved, it’s going to be serious trouble!
"Young Master Knight!" Principal Payne bit his lip, stepping forward to plead, "This is a school; if you, you need to sort things out, could it be done elsewhere?"
Principal Payne spoke, turning a pleading gaze toward Summer Monroe, "Summer Monroe, please say something."
If these two groups really got into a fight, it would cast a significant negative impact on Crestfall University if word got out.
