Chapter 982: Chapter 982: Mio Osborne Has Figured It Out

After Principal Payne finished talking about the examination, he did not leave the stage but instead spoke about a series of misunderstandings involving Rachel Ross and Mio Osborne that concerned Summer Monroe.

Mio Osborne’s expression grew increasingly unsightly, nearly losing control, ready to shout in anger.

Yet he knew that if he did so, his dignity as a teacher would truly be gone.

Finally, Principal Payne finished speaking.

He looked at Mio Osborne and said, "This incident has had a significant impact. Since you chose to question Summer Monroe publicly, I will also publicly announce your punishment to everyone."

Mio Osborne felt a sinking feeling in his heart as he heard Principal Payne begin, "If you go to the Britton University interview this time and fail to get your three students admitted to Britton University or obtain the teacher’s certification and diploma from the university’s education department, then our school will not allow you to stay, nor will we ever rehire you!"

The moment these words were spoken, Mio Osborne’s mind buzzed with an overwhelming roar, as if thunder was crashing beside his ears.

It’s over...

The matter he had tried every means to conceal was publicly revealed by Principal Payne!

Sure enough, as soon as Principal Payne finished, the audience burst into an uproar.

"What??? Mio Osborne actually didn’t graduate from Britton University at all?"

"What the hell, when he recruited me into the preparatory class, he claimed to be a distinguished graduate from the Britton University education department!"

Victor Ford nearly laughed himself out of his seat.

"Ha! No wonder Mr. Monroe said his mind wasn’t right; someone who can’t even get a diploma surely doesn’t have a sound mind?"

"By the way, doesn’t this count as fraud? Claiming to be a graduate of Britton University when he clearly doesn’t have the diploma... this is just outrageous."

The preparatory class students were still somewhat polite, but students from other departments directly started hurling insults.

"A total loser who didn’t even get a diploma, questioning whether my goddess cheated on the exam? Maybe he’s just jealous my goddess is smarter than him?"

"So shameless! Doesn’t such a person deserve to be kicked out of the school right now without waiting any longer?"

"This is hilarious! If he had any brains at all, he wouldn’t do something so brainless. If I were him, I’d silently hide away and focus on teaching rather than publicly question my class’s top student."

"Teach? Does he even qualify? More like a keymaker!"

The students hurled insults louder than the last, but Mio Osborne could only act as though he hadn’t heard them, his hands clenched into fists so tight that his knuckles turned a greenish-white from restraint.

"Alright." Principal Payne moved the microphone away and said to Mio Osborne, "Although Summer Monroe doesn’t wish to accept your apology, the apology was something you promised to us teachers, so you still have to come over and say a few words. Please!"

Principal Payne spoke with a distinct lack of courtesy, and for someone usually so affable, his serious demeanor was commanding and could not be overlooked.

Under pressure, Mio Osborne had no choice but to step forward and take the microphone.

He opened his mouth, but his gaze unconsciously fell on where Summer Monroe sat.

The lighting in the auditorium was dim, yet Summer Monroe seemed to have her own radiance. Her eyes, cool and clear, appeared to hold tiny bits of starlight, elegant and ethereal.

Mio Osborne’s Adam’s apple involuntarily moved.

In that instant, he suddenly came to a realization.

It’s not a bad thing if Summer Monroe gets a spot at Britton University.

If she can solve even this kind of problem, getting into Britton University shouldn’t be difficult, right?

She has more hope of getting into Britton University than Willow Grant!
