Chapter 949: Chapter 949: The Truth Revealed
Mrs. Grant couldn’t hold back and said, "Susan, the difficulty level of this exam was very high. It’s impossible for anyone to score full marks in all four subjects. Summer must have cheated! Don’t let her deceive you."
"Cheated?" Susan Stone frowned.
Mrs. Grant hurriedly nudged Willow Grant’s arm: "Willow, tell me, does Summer’s performance usually reach this level?"
Willow Grant bit her lip and spoke in a low voice: "This was our first monthly test, I don’t know her usual grades. I only know... she often skips classes. Also, before this exam, she even told other classmates the questions. Maybe... it’s indeed possible."
"Alright then! Knowing the questions in advance, what is that if not cheating?" Mrs. Grant regained her confidence and pointed at Summer Monroe, saying, "You must have cheated! Willow said the questions were incredibly difficult, how could you possibly score full marks in all four subjects under such difficulty? And you even told other classmates the questions. Your way of cheating is really poor, isn’t it? Aren’t you afraid of being discovered by doing it so boldly?"
Just as Summer was about to speak, Susan Stone spoke softly, "Mrs. Grant, you can’t say that. Do you have concrete evidence? Without any proof, how can you openly accuse someone of cheating just because they’re better than your daughter?"
Summer Monroe looked at Susan Stone in disbelief, feeling incredibly surprised.
She never expected Susan Stone would actually defend her.
"Mrs. Stone..." Summer murmured.
Willow Grant was even more surprised that Susan Stone would start speaking on behalf of Summer?
Is getting first place that important?
Important enough to completely ignore Summer’s background from the countryside and her identity as an illegitimate child?
"Also, Willow." Susan Stone looked at Willow Grant coldly and said, "Auntie originally thought you were a steady person. Why are you causing a fuss with your mother? Without evidence, spreading such rumors isn’t something you should be doing."
"Not only that!" Holly Holloway gathered her courage again, "Last time Summer helped a Britton University teacher translate lesson plans, Willow Grant secretly started a livestream, suggesting Summer couldn’t possibly translate them, and yet Summer really did translate them perfectly. But she never apologized."
Victor Ford quickly added, "Willow Grant often targets my goddess. A few days ago, my goddess was instructed by the principal to go to the archives. Willow Grant threw a tantrum in the archives, accused Summer of having an improper relationship with the principal!"
Susan Stone’s face became increasingly grim, "Mrs. Grant? Are you aware of what Willow has done?"
Mrs. Grant’s back stiffened; Susan Stone rarely addressed her as "Mrs. Grant," but today she kept calling her that.
She had already been called that twice in just a few minutes.
This was enough to show Susan Stone was very displeased with the Grant Family.
Mrs. Grant frowned at Willow Grant, "Willow, are all these things they’ve said true?"
Willow Grant hurried to explain, "It’s all a misunderstanding! My original words weren’t like that at all! They’re all biased towards Summer, that’s why they’re saying this."
Mrs. Grant laughed awkwardly and looked at Susan Stone, "Susan, you have to trust Willow’s character, this is all just a misunderstanding!"
"Hmm!" Susan Stone sneered coldly, "Don’t take me for a fool! No wonder you’re so anxious to leave; it’s because you’re afraid I’ll know what Willow has been doing at school, afraid I’ll find out Willow was overshadowed by Summer by over twenty points!"
Willow Grant’s face turned crimson, and filled with anger and shame, she bit her lip so hard she couldn’t utter a word.
