Chapter 158: Hungry?

[Author’s stupid warning: I know I’m annoying you by these warnings, but I’m telling you again, if you hate taboo relationships, then please go somewhere else and don’t chase me for life.

I’ve already made it clear in the synopsis.

And those who’ve been with me in discord might know why I’m repeating this shit.

Apologies for this while you were enjoying the chapter… salutation fellas.]

“It’s okay, I’m here now,” Lucian said softly, his voice carrying the same warmth, but Lia’s gaze didn’t waver in the slightest.

“You say that every time… and something happens to you just after you say those words.”

Lucian smiled helplessly, since she wasn’t really wrong about that.

Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do.

Every time he went out or did something, it somehow turned for the worse almost immediately—almost as if fate itself had a grudge against him or something.

After a brief silence, he simply let out a small sigh before faintly shaking his head.

“Fine, fine… forgive your brother, will you?”

Seeing his earnest expression as he spoke those words so honestly—

Lia’s body stilled.

And for a brief moment, every complaint in her mind vanished as she looked at his face, almost becoming enamored by his looks after such a long time.

She hadn’t truly gotten the chance to properly look at him after turning into a vampire, and when she finally had, he had almost pushed her against the wall because of his thirst—

But now, as she looked at him from so close…

He looked even more handsome, his features even more refined than before.

And he had grown taller too, although she herself had grown taller as well.freewёbnoνel.com

“…”

She simply couldn’t look away.

Lucian immediately noticed her stunned expression but chose not to say anything about it.

Instead—

“Okay?” he repeated with the same gentle smile, finally snapping her out of her daze.

Her eyes blinked a couple of times.

“Hm.”

She nodded absentmindedly, and only after doing so did she remember that she was supposed to stay angry.

Meanwhile…

Standing a few meters away, Kanna watched everything unfold from the background, emotionlessly observing the brother and sister—if they could even be considered that at this point.

Not that she particularly cared.

Lucian chuckled softly, then shifted his gaze toward the quiet maid standing beside them at a small distance.

“Kanna,”

She immediately met his eyes.

“Training’s over,” he said in the same gentle tone, and hearing that, Lia’s eyes immediately narrowed.

While still hugging him tightly, she turned toward Kanna with a small glare.

Kanna, noticing that, felt her lips twitch almost imperceptibly.

But she ignored the faint hostility from her young miss and instead gave a light bow.

Without a word, her body dissolved into the shadows beneath her, and she disappeared completely into the darkness, leaving only the two of them inside the spacious training chamber.

Silence fell over the room for a few seconds.

And Lia… she didn’t even know what to say next.

But before she could think too much, Lucian suddenly tightened his arms around her waist, and after glancing at her once—

Lia’s eyes widened as her vision abruptly distorted. She felt a gust of air rush through her hair, but before she could even understand what had happened, the two of them had already reached the edge of the enormous training chamber.

Lucian calmly sat down on the polished floor, leaning lightly against the wall while settling Lia comfortably on his lap.

“You’ve grown stronger,” he said first, his voice carrying genuine praise as he quietly observed her face.

Although he hadn’t seen her Status Window yet…

He didn’t need to, since he could clearly tell how much stronger she had become.

Lia’s lips curled upward without even realizing it, feeling happy and content after hearing his praise.

It meant more to her than any compliment anyone else in the world could ever give her, and now all the torture she had gone through felt somewhat worth it.

“You didn’t leave me with any other choice, did you?”

Her fingers curled around his sleeves possessively.

“So I had to become stronger to stop you from running away from me anymore.”

Lucian couldn’t help but laugh quietly, though he didn’t retort—as even he was curious to see how she planned to stop him.

Silence returned once more, and neither of them seemed bothered by it.

The quiet atmosphere itself felt comforting.

Lia unconsciously leaned a little closer, and Lucian lowered his gaze toward her, noticing her eyes suddenly flicker blood-red for a brief second.

“Hungry?” he asked casually.

“…!”

The single word instantly froze her entire body.

Her lips pressed into a thin line as she bit the inside of her lip.

She didn’t want to admit it…

But the moment she had seen him, her bloodlust had intensified violently.

His scent alone was enough to torment her—but fortunately, unlike the last time, she hadn’t lost herself.

“I…”

Noticing the nervousness and hesitation in her voice, Lucian raised a hand and gently lifted her chin, guiding her gaze back to him.

“What?” His lips curved into a teasing smile.

“Not hungry?”

Lia blinked.

She had expected something entirely different.

She had expected him to smile gently before offering her his blood, telling her it was alright.

But this…

This wasn’t the reaction she had been expecting.

She couldn’t quite explain it, but it felt like something had changed in him, almost as if he had become even more expressive.

Even more confident.

More teasing.

More… seductive.

Hearing his question once more, Lia hurriedly shook her head.

“No?” Lucian asked softly, understanding the hesitation behind her actions.

Lia again shook her head, then nodded.

“Yes… nooo… yes…” Her movements grew even more confused before she stopped entirely, and realising what she had done, the confusion on her face instantly melted into embarrassment.

A rosy blush spread across her cheeks until even the tips of her ears turned red.

“Haha…” Lucian couldn’t hold back his laughter.

And looking at the ease in his expression, she became even more certain that something had changed.

Not wanting to think too much about it—since it might just be her imagination—she hurriedly tried to change the topic.

“So… what did you do—”

Before she could even finish her sentence, Lucian leaned closer, stopping only when their faces were mere inches apart.

“I’m hungry, though.”

His hushed voice reached her ears.

Lia’s parted lips suddenly froze.

Then, the blush staining her cheeks deepened even further as she looked into his eyes, an unmistakable hunger burning within them.

Seeing her speechless expression, Lucian calmly raised a hand to his collar and undid the top button of his shirt, gently pulling the fabric aside to expose more of his neck.

Lia, seeing his actions, instinctively swallowed.

Her gaze immediately fell upon the pale skin of his neck, desperately wanting to sink her fangs into it.

Without realising, her breathing became slightly heavier.

Her eyes violently flickered from golden to crimson red, repeatedly shifting as she struggled to keep her instincts under control.

Lucian silently watched her.

His gaze briefly wandered across her figure.

She was now wearing light training clothes, designed for greater mobility—a sports bra and a pair of long leggings that made her curves even more prominent.

Her skin glistened faintly with the sweat she had worked up during training, and he could easily catch her natural feminine scent.

Lia felt his gaze on her, and a faint shiver ran through her body.

“Eat,” he muttered quietly.

His words felt like permission, as though the final thread restraining her instincts had finally snapped.

The crimson in her eyes completely swallowed the lingering golden hue.

Without another moment of hesitation…

She leaned forward, parted her lips, and—

Pierce—!

A quiet groan escaped his lips.

Almost instinctively, his arms tightened around her waist, holding her close.

He lowered his head as well, closing the remaining distance before his sharp canines sank into her pale nape.

“Mmmh~~” Lia’s muffled moan reached his ears as a shiver ran through her body within his embrace.

The salty taste of her sweat and blood mingled together before being completely overpowered by the taste of her blood.

Lucian’s arm instinctively lowered to the small of her back, just above her hips, closing the distance between them until her breasts pressed tightly against his chest.

Wrapping her own arms firmly around his back, Lia pressed him further against the wall, almost wanting to merge her body with his.

She had been waiting for him for so long, and now she couldn’t hold herself back, no matter what anyone thinks—not after watching her brother get engulfed by that monster.

And judging by Lucian’s actions, he didn’t seem too bothered by her clingy behavior, so maybe… just maybe, he felt the same way about her.

‘Maybe.’

Despite her strong grip—that would’ve broken a normal human’s bones—Lucian didn’t show any tension and rather bit harder.

“Hnhh~~!”

Lia’s arms loosened slightly as she felt her body growing limp.

Heat began pooling in her lower body as pleasure rushed through her, making her gaze grow blurry, as though covered by a thin haze.

Minutes passed, yet neither of them moved from their positions.

Within the empty training ground, only the two of them remained, drinking each other’s blood while slowly losing themselves in the overwhelming pleasure.
