Chapter 182: Academy Of Youra

After spending two more days lazing around and doing some sightseeing in Youra, the time came for the student of Loogam to suit up for their enrollment in the academy of Youra, which was about to start its second term.

Loogam’s few citizens, who decided to stay in Grat, were quickly assigned to temporary houses, where they could stay for the time being. It was only the students, who had to wait a little bit longer due to the paperwork and discussions with the teachers and the headmaster of the academy. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

But today, everything was finalized. The students, who wanted to officially enroll in this academy, and the students from the white class, who were here as a part of the exchange program, finally received their uniforms.

And after leaving their inn, the students from the white class immediately noticed something about them.

While Belian, Mika and Harik wore the same uniform as Asak, Lisa wore a uniform resembling that of Loogam with its straight white pants paired with white shoes and a golden buttoned-up military-like white jacket. In addition, she even had to wear white gloves.

Aside from her, Lily, Sylvia and Rachel wore black skirts, high boots and a short-sleeved white buttoned shirt. But in Sylvia’s case, she additionally wore a black robe with a hood attached to it.

"Are you ready, guys?" Sara, who wore the same clothes as the three girls, asked energetically as she approached the group.

She arrived with her brother Yarjak, who had the same uniform as Lisa.

"Y-yeah... But how come that we have different uniforms?" Lisa asked.

"The academy of Youra doesn’t have the hierarchical class system like Loogam. Instead, we have classes, specializing in different fields. Ms. Ross and I went through the details and sorted each one of you into different classes based on your strengths and weaknesses." Yarjak explained.

"Mika, Harik and Belian will join the hand-to-hand combat class. Lily, Sylvia, Rachel and Sara will go to the magic class. And Lisa and I will participate in the weapon combat class."

"Wait, isn’t Sara a year younger than us?" Mika wondered.

"Well, she insisted on joining you guys during your exchange so we somehow managed to make her a temporary student here..." Yarjak explained exhaustedly.

"I-I see..."

Sara was just smiling widely while showing a V with her fingers.

"I wanted to join either the weapon or hand-to-hand combat class as well, but big Bro decided to put me in the magic class..." Sara complained, shrugging her shoulders.

"I’m looking at this as an opportunity for you to grow as a mage. Even if you’re the sword prodigy, you should be able to wield your magic properly, fitting the image of a person of the royal family." Yarjak scolded her.

"Anyways, we’re wasting too much time here. Let’s move on." he added as he took the lead.

Thus, the group of nine marched to the academy, where Ophelia was waiting for them.

"By the way, have you already decided who will give the speech?" Yarjak directed the question to the others.

"What speech?" Mika asked.

"Hm? Didn’t Sara tell you?"

Yarjak’s gaze shifted quickly to Sara, who was averting her gaze from him nervously. She was humming badly.

"I should have known better..." Yarjak criticized himself quietly.

He looked at the seven students.

"The academy is expecting me, the student council president to give a speech to start off the second term, however, they also asked for you to make one in order to introduce yourselves."

"..."

But most of the white class was flabbergasted by the sudden news. They started to look each other in the eyes.

"Do you have a class representative?" Lisa asked.

"No, we don’t." Belian replied.

"Well, does anyone want to do the speech voluntarily?" she asked.

"I will pass on that..." Rachel stated, smiling wryly.

"I, too, am not cut out for this..." Harik added, scratching his cheek awkwardly.

"For your information, I will not do it even if you were begging." Sylvia said coldly.

Their gazes shifted to Lily, Belian and Mika.

"How about you Lily?" Sylvia wondered.

"Yeah, you can see this as a reward for winning the tournament!" Rachel tried to convince her.

"I don’t know about that..." Harik commented on Rachel’s statement.

"I-I-I can’t possibly do that!" Lily denied agitatedly.

"But you seem the most social among the white class." Lisa said as if it was a fact.

"..."

This, of course, earned her some stares.

"T-then, how about Belian? Since the beginning, he was the face of the white class, wasn’t he?" Lily tried to direct the attention on Belian.

He, however, looked at Mika.

"How about it?" he asked Mika.

"She clearly means you." he retorted.

"It’s decided then." Sylvia announced as she began to walk again.

"Hey-"

"You can do it, Mika!" Rachel cheered him on wholeheartedly.

"Wait a sec-"

"If it’s you, I have nothing to worry about!" Harik laughed.

"Guys, I’m serious."

"Mika, huh? Well, I’m looking forward to your speech." Lisa muttered with a faint smirk.

"Are you ignoring me on purpose?"

"Sorry...!" Lily whispered to him.

"..."

It appeared like everyone settled on Mika, who was anything but satisfied or happy.

"You’re the strongest between all of us so shouldn’t the honor to do the speech fall on you?" Belian said calmly before he walked ahead of the still-dumbfounded Mika.

Mika could only sigh.

[I am also looking forward to it.]

"Oh, shut it."

And after a short while, they arrived in front of the academy of Youra. Like Loogam, the beige academy and other facilities were located on a sandy space dedicated to the academy. Facilities, like the training field, were in buildings, resembling the arena from the tournament. Of course, non-combat-related facilities were built in normal houses with a roof on top of them.

But the highlight, the academy itself, was obviously sticking out. Not only was it the biggest building, rivaling even the palace, but it was also decorated prestigious. Like the palace, it had one big entrance, and it had several big windows. In front of the entrance were multiple pillars, holding a roof, where in turn, was a golden statue of an armored woman with a claymore sword in her hand, which she pointed to the sky proudly.

While the Loogam students looked around in awe, the students from Youra looked at them with scorn.

The group entered the academy as they headed to the auditorium, where the students would be welcomed into the second term.

And when they arrived there, most seats were already taken with other students opting to just stand near the walls.

"Look, Ms. Ross is there." Lily commented with wide eyes.

Ophelia was standing on the podium beside other teachers. But she wore the Loogam uniform instead of the uniform the students and teachers wore.

Everyone was still chatting with their friends or gossiping about Mika and the others. But soon, everyone was silent as a person stepped forward among the staff on the podium.

Walking up to the podium’s desk was a person, who Mika and his friends were familiar with.

"Huh...?"

Naturally, they were stunned and taken aback because the person, who was the headmaster of this academy, was none other than Cylia Tiam.

The queen of Grat.

"Oh, didn’t we tell you yet? Our mother is both the queen and headmaster here. I guess that makes her the same as Lucio Graymen, right?" Yarjak stated.

"What else did you siblings forget to tell us about...?" Mika wondered annoyed.

Then, Cylia began her short speech.

She kept it formal and only welcomed the students into their second term here. Furthermore, she talked about being excited to see everyone’s growth here and that she would continue to create the best possible environment for the students.

And of course, she briefly mentioned the exchange program with Loogam before she passed the word to Yarjak, the student council president.

"Wait... Do we even have a student council president?" Mika whispered to Lisa.

"Huh? Of course, we do. But I guess you couldn’t know as the president is a third-year." she replied briefly with her eyes to the front.

"I see..."

Mika internally wondered what kind of person their president was.

"Dear fellow students..."

And just like his mother, Yarjak spoke formally and kept his speech short, talking about all the things he strove to change in the academy and that he would make sure that every student was comfortable in this academy.

The speech ended successfully with everyone applauding earnestly.

"Now, I would like to ask Mika Elbar, the representative of the students from Loogam to come up here." Yarjak said with a slight smile.

Following those words, everyone looked to the back, where the white class was.

"Do you have anything in mind?" Lisa asked curiously.

However, Mika just tilted his head.

"I’m as prepared as the rest of you." he replied exhaustedly.

Thus, with nothing in his mind, Mika made his way to the podium.

[I can feel a disaster coming.]

"Do you think I wanted to do this...?"
