Chapter 163: Chapter 162: The Seraphine Court Is Here

Power.

The mate bond, which had been building and strengthening over months, suddenly slammed into full activation. The connection between her and all three wolves.....Rex, Kane, and now Cain....completed in a rush of sensation that was so overwhelming it whited out every other sense.

Eve felt them.

All three. Simultaneously. Completely.

Their emotions, their wolves, their absolute devotion and possessive love and fierce protection....all of it flooding into her consciousness through a bond that was now fully, permanently, irrevocably sealed.

The mark appeared on her skin as Cain’s teeth withdrew.

It was extraordinary.

Where Rex’s marks had been scattered across her body and Kane’s had been precise and controlled, Cain’s mark was singular and absolute. Directly over her heart, a perfect wolf’s paw print appeared....not in ink or scarring but in light. Pure golden light that seemed to come from beneath her skin, glowing with steady radiance, beautiful and unmistakable and permanent.

Around the paw print, delicate lines of green and gold wove together in intricate patterns that looked almost like Celtic knotwork.....the succubus and wolf natures entwining, permanent visual proof of what she was and who she belonged to.

The moment the mark settled completely, power exploded from Eve in a detonation that shook the entire estate.

The wave of energy that erupted from her was visible....a dome of green and gold light that expanded outward from the bedroom in all directions, moving through walls and floors and ceilings like they didn’t exist, flooding every room, every hallway, every corner of the grounds simultaneously.

In the kitchen, pack members cleaning up from a late patrol felt the wave hit and dropped to their knees, overwhelmed by the sheer force of it.

In the east wing, Raphael sat bolt upright in bed, his ancient senses screaming that something massive had just happened. Beside him, Elena gasped as the wave washed over her.

In the guest wing, Maya woke with her hand pressed to her chest, tears streaming down her face for reasons she couldn’t name.

In the training room, the overhead lights exploded in showers of glass.

The wards around the estate flared brilliant gold, powered to their maximum capacity by the overflow, holding and channeling the energy rather than trying to contain it.

And in the master bedroom, Eve’s eyes rolled back in her head. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

The energy, the emotion, the completed bond, the final mark....it was too much. Her consciousness simply couldn’t hold it all simultaneously. Her succubus nature tried to absorb the massive power surge, her human mind tried to process the emotional overload, and her body tried to integrate three complete mate bonds at once.

It was too much.

She went limp in Cain’s arms, unconscious before her head hit his chest.

The glow faded slowly from her skin, the green and gold light dimming to a soft pulse that emanated from the mark over her heart....steady as a heartbeat, permanent as bone.

Cain held her with infinite gentleness, his golden eyes moving over her face with an expression that was tender and possessive and deeply, profoundly satisfied.

"Perfect," he murmured, his hand smoothing her hair back from her face. "My perfect, strong mate. You did so well."

Damian and Damon moved immediately....Damian to check her pulse, her breathing, her pupil response. Damon to bring water and a cloth, to clean the small amount of blood from the claiming bite.

"Is she...." Damon started.

"She’s fine," Cain said, his voice carrying absolute certainty. "Just overwhelmed. The bond completion is....it’s a lot to process. She’ll wake when she’s integrated it."

He looked at his brothers....at Damian checking her vitals with practiced hands, at Damon hovering with anxious energy barely contained.

"The bond is complete," Cain said quietly. "All three of us. She’s ours now. Fully, completely, permanently ours."

"She was always ours," Damian said, but there was no heat in it. Just acknowledgment of truth.

"Now she knows it," Cain corrected. "In her bones. In her soul. In every part of her that will ever doubt or question or wonder. She knows."

The mark over her heart pulsed with golden light, steady and certain.

Outside, in the pre-dawn darkness, the estate’s wards pinged.

The sound was clear and deliberate....not an alarm, not a threat warning, but the specific chime that indicated a supernatural being of significant power had arrived at the border and was requesting formal entry.

Damian’s head snapped up. "Someone’s here."

He moved to the window, looking out toward the eastern perimeter where the ward signature was strongest.

A figure stood at the boundary line....tall, elegant, radiating power that was visible even at this distance. Female, dressed in formal Court attire, waiting with the patient posture of someone who expected to be invited in.

Behind her, barely visible in the darkness, three more figures. An entourage. An escort.

Not an attack.

A formal arrival.

"Fuck," Damian breathed. "The Court. They’re here."

Damon was at the window in seconds. "Now? They’re arriving now?"

"Lady Seraphine’s representative," Cain said from the bed, still holding Eve’s unconscious form. His voice had shifted slightly.....less purely wolf, more of Silas bleeding through the gold eyes. "The Traditional faction. They said they’d send someone in support of Eve’s claim."

"And they decided to arrive at three in the fucking morning while our mate is passed out from a claiming ceremony?" Damon’s voice was incredulous and furious in equal measure.

"They detected the power surge," Damian said grimly. "That wave that just went out....every supernatural within a hundred miles felt it. They know something significant just happened." He turned from the window to look at his brothers. "And they came immediately to see what."

The ward chimed again—patient, insistent.

"We have to respond," Damian said. "We can’t leave a Court representative standing at the border."

"Eve is unconscious," Damon said flatly. "They can wait."

"They can," Cain agreed, his arms tightening fractionally around Eve. "But waiting too long sends a message. That we’re unprepared. That the power surge caught us off guard. That we’re scrambling." His golden eyes met his brothers’ gazes. "We can’t show them that."

Damian looked at Eve’s unconscious form, at the glowing mark over her heart, at her peaceful face.

Then he looked back at the window where the Court representative waited.

"Fuck," he said again.
