Chapter 143: Chapter 142: ’’He’s Thorough’’

"What is it like?" Eve asked. "Being fed on. By someone like him. Someone that old, that powerful."

Elena was quiet for a moment, clearly considering how much to share, how to explain so the Eve would understand how she feels about having the best sex of her life, about her experience with her uncle. Then she seemed to make a decision.

"You know how when you feed from the Alphas...." She paused. "You do feed from them, don’t you Luna? I’ve heard some of the pack talk about it. About how the Luna needs to feed." ƒгeewёbnovel.com

"I do," Eve confirmed.

"And when you do....when they give you their energy....how does it feel? To receive it?"

Eve thought about it. "Like being filled. Like something that was empty becoming full. But it’s more than just physical....it’s emotional too. It feels warm and safe. And at the same time, i feel connected."

Elena nodded slowly. "It’s similar from this side. When Lord Raphael feeds....when he draws energy during...." She cleared her throat delicately. "....during the act, there’s a reciprocal effect. He gives something back while he takes. I’m not sure if he means to, or if it’s just the nature of what he is, but afterward I feel...."

She searched for words.

"Restored?" Eve offered.

"More than that." Elena’s brow furrowed slightly in the way of someone trying to be precise. "Like every part of me has been seen and acknowledged and given exactly what it needed. Not just physically. Like he reads what you’re carrying emotionally and addresses that too." She paused. "That probably sounds strange."

"It doesn’t," Eve said. Her succubus nature was fully engaged now, genuinely fascinated. This was exactly how feeding worked at its most refined....a skilled enough supernatural feeder didn’t just take energy, they exchanged it, leaving their partner in a better state than they’d found them. "He’s been doing this for centuries Elena. He would have learned to feed with care."

"He’s....thorough," Elena said, and the word carried considerable weight. A slight flush appeared along her collarbone. "Very thorough. And he doesn’t....he doesn’t rush anything. Even when I thought there was surely nothing left, he would find...." She stopped. "I’m saying too much."

"You’re not," Eve said quickly, then caught herself. "I mean.....you don’t have to stop. If you’re comfortable."

Elena looked at her with slightly narrowed eyes. "You’re curious about the technique. Aren’t you? Not about....not about him personally, but about how he does what he does."

Eve felt heat rise in her own face. "I’m a succubus," she said, which was both an explanation and a defense. "Understanding how experienced members of my kind manage feeding is....it’s relevant to my own development."

"It is," Raphael’s voice had said something similar about her instincts and his techniques during training. Feeding efficiently, feeding responsibly, taking what you needed while leaving your partner better rather than depleted.

"That’s very clinical Luna," Elena said, but she was smiling now....a real smile, amused and slightly mischievous. " And very academic."

"I’m a very academic person," Eve said, which was such an obvious lie that they both laughed.

The laughter broke something open between them. Elena’s shoulders dropped from their careful tension, and Eve felt her own self-consciousness ease.

"He pays attention," Elena said, when the laughter had settled. "That’s the thing that....it’s not something you expect. You expect intensity, and yes, it is...." She took a breath. "....extremely intense. He is relentless in a way that is genuinely difficult to describe to someone who hasn’t experienced it."

"Try," Eve said, and immediately winced. "Sorry. You don’t have to."

"No, it’s...." Elena considered. "You know how the Alphas are very dominant? Very....present, in a physical sense? The way they take up space and demand your body’s complete attention?"

"Vividly," Eve said.

"It’s similar but different in quality. Where they are dominant, he is.....consuming. Like he could take everything you have to give and there would still be more he could find. But he doesn’t take more than you can give. He seems to know exactly how much that is.....goes right to the edge of it and no further." She paused. "And the whole time, he makes you feel like you are the most extraordinary thing he has ever encountered."

Eve sat with this for a moment. Digesting everything she was hearing from Elena about her uncle’s feeding technique, to see if she could put it to use when she is feeding from her own mates.

And from the looks of things, Her uncle made his feeding partners feel extraordinary. Was relentlessly attentive, read emotional needs as well as physical ones, left people feeling restored rather than depleted, knew precisely how much to take without crossing into damage.

That was.....that was actually beautiful, she thought. As a feeder, as a supernatural being who needed this to survive.....he’d developed something generous out of necessity.

"The stamina is...." Elena started, then appeared to catch herself, another flush rising in her face.

"The stamina is what?" Eve asked, despite herself.

Elena looked at her with an expression of complete disbelief. "Luna. He is an ancient incubus. What do you think the stamina is like."

"I’m asking anyway."

"All night," Elena said flatly. "The entire night. And part of the morning. And I do not mean that in the polite exaggerated sense. I mean that literally. I mean that when Lora came to ask if I wanted breakfast sent up, I was physically incapable of walking to the door."

Eve opened her mouth. Closed it.

"Catherine," Elena continued, with the energy of someone who has decided that if they’ve gone this far they might as well go all the way, "sent healing salve."

"Healing...."

"For my....." Elena gestured vaguely below the counter.

Eve made a sound she would later deny having made.

"And yet," Elena said, with a philosophical calm that Eve found genuinely impressive, "I went back the following night. So."
