"Do you guys want to find a place to hang out?"

"Sure, let Dingzi and Meiyu go have some fun. They need to spend time together, or how else will they get to know each other? Let’s not be a bother to them. If you two are free, why don’t you come over to my place for a bit?"
Qian Meiyu’s aunt nodded, but her intention was for Dingzi and Qian Meiyu to go alone.

Qian Meiyu remained silent, but she was also in favor of going to see his house.

"What’s that supposed to mean? Why are you being so unreasonable? Forget it, I’m done talking to you. I’ll go have a word with your mother."
Qian Meiyu’s aunt didn’t feel the least bit guilty. What was so wrong with looking out for her own daughter?
Leaving Qian Meiyu and her aunt to their argument, Gu’er and the others got into Li Zhi’s car. Li Zhi started the engine and began to complain.
"Buddy, that really wasn’t my fault. I never saw that coming. So, what’s the verdict?"
Li Zhi said to Dingzi as the car started moving.
"Her eyes are shifty and her mind is all over the place. Not interested."
Dingzi said seriously.
Gu’er looked at Dingzi. ’She knew his words were his final evaluation of Qian Meiyu: he didn’t want a partner like her. True, someone meeting Dingzi for the first time might think he was dull, since he was so quiet. Just like earlier, he had no idea how to make small talk with Qian Meiyu. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t intelligent. On the contrary, Dingzi was an extremely observant and perceptive person. Otherwise, he never would have been able to hold a special position in the army.’

Sun Jiaming pushed Li Zhi’s head back around, telling him to focus on driving.
