Chapter 31: Spirit Realm [1]
After leaving the Mana Training Center, Klein made his way toward the residential area of the academy.
The Spirit Division dormitories were located in a serene, beautifully designed complex surrounded by floating lanterns and lush, mana-infused gardens.
Since he was in the Elite Class, he was assigned a private room on the upper floors of the Spirit Division’s main dormitory building.
He scanned his new ID card at the entrance and took the lift up.
When he reached his assigned room Room 1407 he swiped his card again. The door clicked open with a soft chime.
Klein stepped inside and paused for a moment.
The room was surprisingly spacious and luxurious for a first-year student. frёewebηovel.cѳm
It was a full studio-style apartment with a separate bedroom, a small living area, a private bathroom, and even a dedicated meditation chamber in the corner, surrounded by mana-gathering arrays.
There were also a king-sized bed, a study desk, a weapon rack, and a built-in closet already stocked with spare uniforms and basic training clothes.
Klein closed the door behind him and let out a long breath.
"Not bad at all," he murmured, walking further inside.
He placed the bag containing his new uniform on the bed and sat down on the edge, running a hand through his hair.
He pulled out his phone and sent a quick message.
Klein: I’m back at the dorm. The room is pretty nice. I’ll come home this weekend after classes.
He received almost instant replies.
Arwen: Take care. Don’t push yourself too hard. We miss you already ❤️
Cynthia: Send pics of the room!! Is it bigger than our living room?? Also, I’m sleeping in your bed tonight since you’re not here~
Klein chuckled softly at Cynthia’s message and replied to both before putting his phone down.
He lay back on the bed for a moment, staring at the ceiling.
He sat up again and walked over to the window, looking out at the glowing academy grounds.
’I need to grow stronger...’
’And I hope I can get some good spirits tomorrow.’

The morning sun cast a golden hue over Grayhaven Academy as Klein stepped out of the Spirit Division dormitory.
He was wearing his brand-new Elite Class uniform, a black blazer with a white shirt underneath, along with black pants.
The uniform fit him perfectly, giving him a dignified appearance that turned quite a few heads as he walked across the campus.
Students whispered among themselves as he passed.
Klein ignored the stares and murmurs, walking toward the main Spirit Division building.
His mind was focused on the upcoming meeting with his new Master.
Soon, he reached the top floor of the Spirit Division building and entered Erica’s room.
Erica Plunus was already seated behind her grand desk, wearing an elegant white and violet robe that accentuated her long, flowing purple hair.
She stood up as he entered, with a faint smile on her lips "You’re early, disciple. Good. Punctuality is a fine trait."
Klein gave a nod "Good morning, Master."
"Morning."
She walked to him and spoke "Today, we will enter one of the mid-tier Spirit Realms under my supervision. This will be your first official entry."
"I will teach you about spirits, and if we are lucky, you can get your first spirit too."
They walked down the luxurious hallway toward a restricted elevator at the far end.
She placed her palm on a panel, and the elevator doors opened with a soft chime.
They descended deep underground in silence, the numbers on the display dropping rapidly until they reached a heavily secured level.
When the doors opened again, they stepped into a restricted section of the Spirit Division.
They stopped before a massive steel door.
Erica placed her hand on a panel beside it. With a deep hum, the steel door slid open, revealing an even older stone door covered in glowing runes.
The runes pulsed brighter as Erica channeled her mana.
Slowly, the door parted, revealing a swirling portal of pure white and blue energy.
Erica glanced sideways at Klein, her purple hair swaying gently.
"Stay close to me at all times.
Erica stepped forward first, and Klein followed right behind her.
The moment they crossed the threshold, the world around them shifted completely.
They emerged into a breathtaking, dreamlike landscape.
Floating islands drifted in a vast sky filled with colorful auroras.
Crystal-clear rivers flowed upward between islands, and forests stretched across massive landmasses.
Erica turned to him, her purple hair swaying gently in the wind "Welcome to the Spirit Realm, Klein."
Klein stood still for a long moment, looking at the breathtaking scenery.
"It’s... beautiful," he murmured, genuinely impressed.
Erica smiled upon seeing his reaction "This is only the mid-tier layer. The deeper you go, the more ancient and powerful the spirits become."
"Some are friendly, some are neutral, and some are extremely hostile to outsiders."
She began walking forward, motioning for him to follow.
"Come. We will start with the basics. I want to see how spirits naturally react to you-"
However, in the next moment-
%^&@#$%!(
The entire world froze and time itself stopped.
The gentle breeze died completely, and the entire Spirit Realm stopped moving.
The whole Spirit Realm turned into a colorless, gray world.
Klein’s pupils shrank sharply ’W-What just happened? I can’t move my body... Is this a powerful spirit’s doing?’
He could still think and roll his eyes slightly, but every muscle in his body felt locked in place.
He rolled his eyes to the side and saw Erica standing right beside him, completely frozen like a statue with her mouth slightly open as if she had been in the middle of speaking.
’What is happening...?’
At that moment, a soft voice came from directly behind him.
"...Are you the one?"
A delicate hand slid slowly from his back up to his shoulder.
He felt the unmistakable softness of a pair of full breasts pressing gently against his back ’Who?’
A warm, sweet breath caressed the side of his neck and lips.
"Hmm... your energy seems higher than that of the elf girl... or maybe not."
Klein tried his hardest to turn his head.
From the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of soft red lips, and then a pair of striking, vibrant green eyes.
The woman moved forward smoothly, stepping around him until she stood directly in front of him.
She was breathtaking.
Long, flowing green hair cascaded down her back, adorned with tiny glowing flowers.
She was wearing elegant green robes revealing the deep cleavage of her breasts.
Her beauty was otherworldly and seductive.
She tilted her head slightly, looking at him with clear fascination.
"I am surprised..." she whispered in an amused voice.
"You can still move your eyes even after I stopped the flow of time in the Spirit Realm? Interesting... very interesting."
"The first time a man has stepped into this Spirit Realm."
She reached out and gently traced a finger along his jawline.
Klein’s mind was racing ’She stopped time in the Spirit Realm, and Erica can’t even react. This kind of power...’
The green-haired woman leaned in even closer until their faces were mere inches apart.
Her arms slowly wrapped around his neck in a loose but intimate embrace, pulling him gently toward her.
The scent of blooming flowers and fresh rain washed over him.
"Hoh? You are not just a human, are you? You have the scent of the forest in your blood... Half-elf? How fascinating."
Her gaze drifted downward, lingering on his lips for a moment "Oh, forgive me. You can’t speak right now, can you?"
With a small, playful flick of her finger, the invisible pressure locking Klein’s body loosened just enough for his head and neck to move.
Klein felt the restriction lift and a faint smile appeared on his lips as he looked directly into her mesmerizing green eyes.
"Nice to meet you, Mother of Spirits. I am Klein Faress."
