Chapter 177: Chapter 102: Promotion! Lynch, a Tier Two Mage
...
In an instant, the expressions on Andis and his men changed drastically, turning incredibly grim.
It was only then that Lynch finally let out a sigh of relief. "Senior Brother, you’re finally here. What took you so long?"
"You dare to complain about me?" Senior Brother Raymond glared back at Lynch, annoyed. "Your Senior Brother here nearly ran his legs off rushing to save you, and what are you doing? Discussing marriage? You even thought about marrying into her family?"
"Tsk tsk, I went through all that trouble to get you to Red Ridge Mountain, secured you a nice piece of territory to develop, and for what? For you to defect for love?"
He had actually arrived nearby a while ago, hiding in the shadows not far away, using a contracted ghost to silently watch the show. He wanted to see just how capable this junior brother, so highly regarded by Annabella, really was, and whether he could handle that old fox Andis.
But as he watched, he was so exasperated he almost had to laugh.
This little rascal, in order to protect his territory and stall for time, would really dare to say anything.
Seeing that Andis was actually starting to consider it seriously, he had to hurry out and save the situation.
"Ha~" Lynch said, a bit embarrassed. "How is this defecting? Actually, the Radiant Battle Group could be considered an allied force."
"Let’s put that aside for now. I am a little curious though." Senior Brother Raymond had the expression of someone ready for drama. "You little rascal, you don’t actually have something going on with that Ice Rose girl from the Adela family, do you?"
"Of course not, it was just a stopgap measure," Lynch said with an innocent expression. "How was I supposed to know when your reinforcements would arrive, Senior Brother? If you were half a day late, wouldn’t my Lakefront Town have been flattened?"
"What!?"
Andis’s expression changed dramatically. He stared intently at Lynch. "You were toying with me?"
"Uncle Andis, you were the one who tried to toy with me first." Lynch met his gaze without any fear. "The great ’Dawnbreaker’s Sword’ wants this piece of land, Lakefront Town, and that’s one thing. But to resort to petty, dishonorable tricks like slander and false accusations... If you’ve got the guts... go after my senior brother directly~"
"Ahem, ahem."
Senior Brother Raymond nearly choked with exasperation.
’This kid sounded so tough in the first half of that sentence,’ he thought. ’But did he have to be so spineless at the end?’
’Everyone said that he, Raymond, was as cunning as a fox, but this young junior brother of his was on another level. And even more shameless than me, it seems.’
"Good, good, good."
Andis laughed in extreme anger as a powerful surge of Holy Light Power pressed down toward Lynch. "It’s been years! No junior has ever dared to make a fool of me like this~!"
However, before the oppressive Holy Light Power could reach Lynch, Senior Brother Raymond took a step sideways, blocking the path.
A gloomy, bone-chilling aura of death emanated from him, directly blocking the pressure of Andis’s Holy Light.
The two forces intertwined and collided in mid-air, instantly creating ripples of energy as power was continuously annihilated in the clash.
In this clash of auras alone, Senior Brother Raymond actually seemed to have the upper hand.
"KEKEKE~"
He let out a series of triumphant, villainous laughs.
"What, was my junior brother wrong? You, the ’Dawnbreaker’s Sword’, are allowed to spew nonsense and fling filth at people, but my poor little junior brother isn’t allowed to think on his feet and use some ’unconventional means’ to protect himself? Tsk tsk, you Holy Light types are as tyrannical as ever~"
With that, he seemed too lazy to waste any more words and gave the wide sleeve of his Magic Robe a gentle flick forward.
A dense power of death spread out.
HUMMMMM~~
A massive, illusory Palace of Death suddenly appeared in mid-air. It seemed to be forged from the bones of countless living creatures, with innumerable resentful spirits struggling, screaming, and wailing within.
A thick aura of death radiated outward.
Even Lynch, a Necromancer himself, felt a chill run down his spine from this aura. The weaker Soldiers of the Tiger Assault Battalion fared even worse; many of them could feel their legs trembling.
If not for Andis standing before them like a stabilizing pillar, their morale would have surely collapsed.
The next moment.

Amidst waves of deep roars and piercing shrieks, ferocious Undead Units charged out of the Palace of Death.
The first to emerge were two zombies, each a little over three meters tall.
Their builds looked similar to Lynch’s own Purple Zombie, Bloodfang, and his Corpse Demon, but their auras were stronger by more than a single notch.
Their skin had a faint metallic, coppery sheen, and their Corpse Evil Qi was so dense it was almost tangible. When they stomped the ground, they actually left two shallow craters, like a pair of humanoid metal combat robots.
The warhorses in the front ranks of the Tiger Assault Battalion neighed uneasily, stomping their hooves and backing away.
These were... Bronze-Armored Corpses!
Undead Units that were Tier Five right from the start.
Following them were several translucent ghosts.
Their forms were indistinct and flickering. As soon as they appeared, they began to circle and drift through the air, letting out sharp, spiritual wails.
These ghosts all radiated a chilling aura that could make one’s very soul tremble, a clear sign that their tier was not low.
The last ghost to float out was especially terrifying in its presence.
It faintly radiated a black Evil Qi. Merely by hovering there, the surrounding temperature dropped sharply. Even the two Bronze-Armored Corpses shifted slightly, as if wary of it.
This was a ghost that had reached Tier Five, and it seemed to be a powerful and rare variant.
Watching from behind, Lynch was completely captivated, his eyes nearly popping out of his head, filled with pure envy.
