Chapter 38: Chapter 38 The Fateful Night (2)

Xue Yao’s eyes widened. Deep inside her heart thundered in her chest, and her cheeks burned bright red.

Lie Lang’s fangs protruded out, big and scary. Xue Yao blinked helplessly. ’Do they kiss with their huge fangs out?... that will be awkward.’ She thought inwardly as an image of him kissing her with those fangs crossed through her mind.

"If you don’t answer me, I’ll rip your throat out." Lie Lang warned as he pressed his fangs against her neck. "What will the answer be?"

Xue Yao stiffened... ’He is going to rip my throat out? My throat?... then I won’t be able to eat any tasty meat or food...wait... I’ll DIE!’

"Alpha Lie Lang, I wasn’t aware that he was the Grand Alpha, and I definitely didn’t ask your Beta Han Luo to bring any meat to you. He took the meat for himself...and for these marks on my face, the maids were the ones who deliberately did it, they told me it was your tradition..."

A deep growl tore through the air.

Xue Yao froze.

"Lies!" Lie Lang raised his head away from her neck. "The maids knew about our tradition so much that they wouldn’t dare to do this. Human... tell me why you are here?!"

His gaze met with her confused one.

"What do you mean by why I’m here? Were you not the one who abducted me here and sent me to the prison while you sent my Honghong to the kitchen?! And who decided to make me a breeder? Were you not the one?! And who brought me here? Are you not the one? Then why are you talking as if you have dementia? If you have any health problems, you should definitely see a doctor. Why put all the blame on me?!" Xue Yao snapped.

For a brief second, Lie Lang was taken aback by her sudden clap back. Was it boldness or foolishness? He believed it was the latter.

Before he could speak, Xue Yao raised her head slightly. Her gaze, which was fearful a while ago, had now turned furious.

"And you know what? I have had enough of all these, your arrogance, your clan treating me like a piece of shit, you coming thinking you have the right over me. And let me tell you, you don’t have the right to decide whether I’m a breeder or not, this is my right.

Read my lips properly, I said this is my right, so get off me this instant! And f*cking bring me my Honghong, and you better make sure not a feather is missing from her. Else..." her eyes narrowed, and her pupils darkened. "...I will turn this place into a biodegradable hazard, unable to support any life. Don’t mess with me." She illiterated slowly.

Xue Yao’s chest heaved up and down heavily as she held Lie Lang’s gaze.

Meanwhile, the speechless Lie Lang couldn’t help but stare at the crazy human in front of him. Was the human not afraid of death? Never in the centuries of his life had anyone dared to talk to him in this manner.

An intrigued smirk curved on his lips. It was so small that Xue Yao missed it.

Lie Lang let go of her hands, but he didn’t move away, his frame towering over her.

"You don’t have any say about this... thanks to you, the council of elders has decided you breed pups for me." The anger in his heart intensified.

Xue Yao blinked. For a brief second, she didn’t realise she had said those things out loud. ’Oh no! Isn’t this an express way to heaven!’

"But you are the Alpha, you call the shots." She said in a more neutral tone, already contemplating if she should use the Sticky Smelly Socks now.

Lie Lang glared at her before running a finger through his hair. "The moment you rejected the Grand Alpha..." Lie Lang said coldly, "...the elders shifted their attention to me. They want me to mate with you, claiming it was for the stability of the clan. They claimed an Alpha without heirs invited trouble, and that I had delayed long enough."

His expression grew colder with every sentence. "This was all because of you."

"What do you mean this is all because of me? If you had done your duty, I wouldn’t be dragged into this mess." Xue Yao frowned. "And don’t even think about touching me."

"It is good that you don’t want to, neither do I." He said coldly.

"Good..."

Before Xue Yao could finish her words, Lie Lang pressed his body against hers, while holding her face up. He lowered his head so that their lips were almost touching. His strong hands pinned hers to the bed, trapping her underneath him.

Xue Yao’s eyes widened in utter disbelief and fear. She struggled to break free but couldn’t, then she opened her mouth to protest, but the next moment, his lips came down, crashing against hers.

Xue Yao froze, her eyes wide open... ’He... kissed me... he is kissing me right now.’ Her body stiffened.

’But he said he didn’t want to.’ Xue Yao’s brows furrowed as she believed he had lied to her.

The next second, she opened her mouth and clamped her teeth on his lower lip.

Lie Lang’s eyes shot wide open. His face strained from suppressing the pain of his lips getting torn from his face. ’This crazy human, dared to bite me? Fine, I’ll give you a taste of your own medicine.’

He pressed his body harder against hers, and swiftly proceeded to bite hers too.

Xue Yao cried out in pain, but she didn’t let go of his. The metallic taste of blood spread over her tongue, yet she had no intention of letting go. ’This wolf is shameless!’

Lie Lang glanced towards the window, and the shadow of two figures slowly retreated.

"Let go of my lips right now!" His grip tightened over her wrist, his words barely understandable.

"You let go first!" Xue Yao shot back.

Lie Lang glared at the crazy human underneath him, refusing to let go.

Xue Yao, being so stubborn, decided not to let go too.

"Let’s do it at the same time..." She offered.

"1, 2, 3..."

They both let go of each other’s lips.

"Why did you kiss me when you said you don’t want to do it with me?!" Xue Yao sniffled.

Lie Lang glared at her. "Because we were getting spied on, and I do have someone in my heart. Kissing you wasn’t intentional, and it was absolutely disgusting to me."
