Chapter 119: Chapter 109: Harvest
"Get the hell out here!"
Su Xing, enveloped by the "Aura Sword Stance," suddenly vanished from before the Angry Vice Bishop. The Vice Bishop’s sanity, already on the verge of being drowned by infinite rage, began to crumble.
His expression turned manic. He roared and bellowed, frantically searching for Su Xing’s vanished figure.
Although the "Anger" Sequence granted the Angry Vice Bishop unparalleled power, its side effects were also extremely severe.
Under the influence of the "Anger" Sequence,
whenever the Angry Vice Bishop desperately channeled his Sequence Energy, his sanity would be continuously eroded by the "Anger" Sequence, making him grow increasingly irascible.
On normal days, it was fine.
As long as he didn’t channel his Sequence Energy, he remained unaffected, no different from a normal person. But the moment he began to channel it—especially when pushing the "Anger" Sequence to its absolute limit—
this loss of sanity would become more and more severe. He could even completely lose his mind in a short period, turning into a monster of pure rage wreathed in flames.
Although the Angry Vice Bishop could quickly revert to his normal self each time he stopped using his Sequence Energy, his personality had been subtly warped over time.
This led the Angry Vice Bishop to wonder if he would one day be completely consumed by the side effects of the "Anger" Sequence and become a truly mindless monster.
He didn’t want to become that.
Therefore, he never overused the "Anger" Sequence in battle.
He would only use it moderately,
with the primary goal of quickly killing his opponent.
However, while his battle with Su Xing had been short, their many exchanges happening in the blink of an eye,
the sheer intensity of the conflict and their evenly matched power made the Angry Vice Bishop unwilling to accept a disadvantage. He desperately pushed the "Anger" Sequence, causing the ratio of his sanity to his rage to plummet.
Although the Vice Bishop could sense Su Xing was nearby, Su Xing’s practically invisible body and incredible speed made it impossible for him to lock onto his opponent.
This drove his rage to a crescendo. His features twisted completely, like a beast on the verge of a frenzy.
"Are you a fucking coward?! Get the hell out here!!!"
The Angry Vice Bishop scanned his surroundings, his gaze locking onto the largest nearby rice paddy. "You little bastard, you must be hiding in the water again!" he roared. "Get the hell out!!!"
Amid his roars,
the Vice Bishop lunged forward.
His enormous body smashed into the rice paddy, instantly blasting all the water into the air.
Seeing no trace of Su Xing, the frenzied rage in his heart grew even more intense. As if he had gone mad, he began to pound the earth, smashing the entire field and its crops into a muddy pulp.
After a short while,
he seemed to lose interest in the rice paddy.
He hauled his entire body out of the water, caked in black mud and looking utterly filthy.
But the Angry Vice Bishop couldn’t care less.
His eyes were fixed on a pillar supporting the national highway not far away.
He let out a savage roar and, like a crazed hyena, charged toward the highway pillar and slammed into it with all his might!
BOOM!
A crack suddenly appeared on the pillar.
The national highway, already missing a section of its surface from the battle between Su Xing and the Vice Bishop, began to shudder violently and tilt from the force of the impact.
Countless stationary cars immediately lost control, sliding off the trembling road into the fields below to become piles of mangled scrap.
Many civilians cowering on the highway threw themselves to the ground, screaming. They clung desperately to the guardrails, trying not to be thrown off by the violent tremors.
Under the immense force of the impact, a massive crack spread across the support pillar, looking as if it would give way at any second.
The Angry Vice Bishop’s eyes were now completely crimson.
He had grown to over seven and a half feet tall. His muscles bulged like pulsating tumors all over his body. Crimson veins snaked out from his heart across his entire frame, and a towering inferno of flames swirled around him. He looked utterly grotesque and terrifying.
As if he had found an outlet for his rage, the Vice Bishop let out one hoarse, chilling roar after another.
Before long,
he seemed to have grown bored of it.
He ran over to another one of the highway’s support pillars and, in full view of the remaining survivors, raised his right fist and smashed it down!
BOOM!
The massive pillar cracked wide open from the blow, and the entire elevated section of the highway tilted precariously.
More and more cars tumbled off the edge. Countless people slid down the angled surface, falling to their deaths and shattering on the ground below. Only a few lucky ones still clung to the road, but it was clear they wouldn’t last much longer.
The Angry Vice Bishop bellowed:
"Not coming out, are you?!"
"If you won’t come out, then everyone here can just die!!!"
Su Xing, who had witnessed the scene from the side, watched from afar as the Vice Bishop nearly brought down the entire highway with a second punch. His eyes narrowed slightly, and he thought,
’Has he gone completely insane?’
Su Xing had accumulated his own share of injuries from the series of clashes with the Vice Bishop.
He had originally planned to use his "Aura Sword Stance" to conceal himself, then use "Spirit Sword" to disengage from the fight and recover his health before striking at the Vice Bishop again.
But he never imagined the Angry Vice Bishop would go on a rampage, smashing everything in sight. This made it impossible for Su Xing to simply stand by as an outsider.
