Chapter 2120: Chapter 2319: The Battle Begins!!!

However, just as Hao Jian’s hand landed, she could’ve immediately blinked forward and used a skill to take that kill, then instantly get a triple kill. But at this moment, the teammate who hadn’t exerted effort before suddenly saw a chance and moved faster than anyone else with a flash.

The flash was quicker than hers, though only by less than a second. And in that split second, the teammate dashed in front of her and swiftly took the kill that should’ve been hers, leaving her just with a double kill, ending any chance of a triple kill.

Already infuriated, and now with Hao Jian’s hand on her shoulder again. If it had been earlier, it might have been okay, just like before. But this time, her triple kill was robbed by a teammate, and then that hand came back, and she vented all her anger on Hao Jian’s hand.

"Damn it! You’re asking for it, aren’t you? Do you believe I’ll..." Liang Xiaohan furiously cursed.

However, just as she spoke and turned her head, the words caught in her throat, because she found out that it was Hao Jian with his hand on her shoulder. She didn’t expect Hao Jian to be here, right behind her, which surprised her.

"What are you doing here?!" she asked instinctively in surprise.

Hao Jian, ignoring her question, countered, "I could ask you the same thing. What are you doing here during class time instead of attending? What are you doing here?"

Liang Xiaohan rolled her eyes and said directly, "You’re questioning me? Have you looked at yourself? Where are you right now? What are you up to? You have the nerve to criticize others."

Hao Jian paused, not expecting Liang Xiaohan to be so argumentative. He said, "Me? Compared to you, who am I? Who are you? Why am I here, and why are you here? Don’t forget, your sister asked me to accompany you here, to look after you and supervise you, got it!"

Liang Xiaohan realized it immediately but didn’t show any weakness. She turned her head back to the computer screen, ignoring Hao Jian as if he wasn’t there. Hao Jian wouldn’t let it go, rolled his eyes at her, picked up the ashtray, and snatched the burning cigarette from her hand.

Seeing this, Liang Xiaohan was displeased and said, "Give it to me!"

She reached to take the cigarette back from Hao Jian, but now that Hao Jian had it, and if he didn’t want to give it back, no one could easily snatch anything from him. So, despite Liang Xiaohan’s attempts, she couldn’t take it back.

Hao Jian took a puff on the cigarette and blew a smoke ring. But after just one puff, he stubbed it out and tossed it into the ashtray.

"Are you crazy!" Liang Xiaohan cursed when she saw what Hao Jian did.

Hao Jian ignored her and said, "Smoking is bad for your health. Why is a girl like you smoking? It’s not good for your skin."

Actually, the idea that smoking is bad for the skin was just something Hao Jian said off the cuff. Smoking has nothing to do with skin, but he couldn’t think of anything else to argue with Liang Xiaohan, and knowing how girls care about beauty, he came up with this excuse to brush her off.

Typically, a regular girl might fall for it, but Liang Xiaohan just rolled her eyes at him and said, "Smoking is bad for the skin? Try fooling other girls, but don’t bother trying that on me!"

Hao Jian chuckled, saying nothing more, and sat down next to Liang Xiaohan. Liang Xiaohan, however, was still caught up in the frustration of having her triple kill stolen by her teammate. She wanted to curse, but knew it was useless, so she tried her best to control her emotions.

The most annoying thing about playing games is running into teammates like these: not contributing during the game, but reacting faster than anyone else when there’s an advantage to be taken or a kill to be stolen. Liang Xiaohan hated encountering such people in games, but unfortunately, it seemed she ran into them every time, leaving her speechless.

Hao Jian followed what the internet cafe attendant had instructed, turning on a computer, entering his username and password, successfully logging in, and then registering an account in the game Liang Xiaohan was playing.

At that moment, Liang Xiaohan’s anger grew because she hadn’t confronted the teammate who stole her kills. But then, the teammate began to taunt her.

"Haha, trash," the person said.

Unhappy, Liang Xiaohan replied, "Who are you calling a kill-stealer? I’ve put up with you long enough!"

The person only got more smug and said, "Kill-stealer? If you’re so good, go steal one yourself and see. Can’t get a kill and criticize others? Sour grapes, that’s what you are, dead trash."

"I..." Liang Xiaohan was momentarily lost for words.

It was her first time running into someone like this, with such twisted logic. Clearly doing nothing but stealing kills, but suddenly acting like they were right to do so. She was utterly speechless. Yet, before she could respond, the opponent kept jabbering.

"Haha... So, are you speechless now? Good, don’t overestimate yourself, haha..."

"Wait, is this ID a girl? Or some big, rough guy? A giant girl gamer?"

Liang Xiaohan stayed silent, but was fuming.

"If you’re a girl, add me as a game friend, maybe add me on WeChat, and I’ll carry you in games! Guaranteed win!" the person shamelessly said.

"Scram!" Liang Xiaohan typed back a single word and sent it.

It was her first time meeting someone so shameless and thick-skinned. The lengths this person went to were beyond her comprehension, leaving her at a loss for words.

She was about to quit the game; she had just wanted to play for fun, but now her mood was spoiled. However, just as she was about to click to exit, Hao Jian stopped her, placing his hand on the mouse.

"Don’t quit, let me teach him a lesson!" Hao Jian said.

Liang Xiaohan looked at Hao Jian with disbelief. She didn’t know what kind of person Hao Jian was; blowing smoke and thick-skinned. Could he actually play this game and teach others a lesson? The opponent, although not very skilled, was at least a little capable, and if Hao Jian went in, wouldn’t he just get beat?

But after seeing Hao Jian’s confident expression, she withdrew her hand, letting him take over the keyboard. Hao Jian began to operate the game.

"Stop bragging, let your skills do the talking," Hao Jian typed out.

The person jeered, "Dead trash, shut up!"

Hao Jian ignored it, executing seamless maneuvers, aggressively farming creeps, advancing, and acquiring equipment. A few minutes later, both teams started to gather, preparing for a team fight, tensions rising.

"Watch this," Hao Jian turned to glance at Liang Xiaohan and said.

Liang Xiaohan simply rolled her eyes.

But then, under Hao Jian’s control, massive changes occurred on the screen.

"Double kill!"

"Triple kill!"

"Quadra kill!"

The person was obviously stunned, seeing the last enemy at low health, he immediately blinked in to try to take it, not wanting to give Hao Jian the chance for a penta-kill.

A penta-kill at that moment was a mark of honor, a testament to skill, and if Hao Jian took it...
