Chapter 2102: Chapter 2303: You’re Feeding Me Noodles!!!

Looking at her phone, Zhang Danlin suddenly didn’t know what to say, feeling a bit dazed and thinking that any reply at this time would not be good. So she just stared blankly at her phone, not knowing what was on her mind.

Meanwhile, on the other end, Liang Xiaohan saw that Zhang Danlin hadn’t sent a message back, but she was sure that Zhang Danlin must have seen the message. She had a smug look on her face, daring Zhang Danlin to message Hao Jian again. Humph, let’s see if you’ll still go to Hao Jian now.

She knew that after seeing the message, Zhang Danlin would surely be puzzled about how she could be with Hao Jian in the evening. It was almost nighttime, how could a man and a woman be together at this hour? She knew that because she and Hao Jian were quite close, some people even at school were gossiping about them being a couple or something like that.

Hao Jian ignored those rumors, and she naturally adopted the same attitude, letting them talk, and besides, it kept pesky guys at bay and from bothering her. It was a win-win situation.

At this moment, she just wanted Zhang Danlin to overthink whether she and Hao Jian were a secret couple. Only when she was overthinking would she feel embarrassed to bother Hao Jian and keep her distance. She did this also to help her cousin keep an eye on Hao Jian.

Cooking noodles didn’t take long—boiling water, adding noodles, and seasoning. It was only boiling the water that took a bit of time. Once the water boiled, the rest didn’t take much time. Shortly after, Hao Jian brought out a steaming bowl of noodles from the kitchen.

"Here! Eat." Hao Jian placed the cooked noodles on the table and said to Liang Xiaohan.

Actually, she had been hungry for a while, otherwise, she wouldn’t have asked Hao Jian to make noodles for her. As soon as she smelled the aroma of the noodles, she ran over excitedly without Hao Jian having to say a word. She picked up the chopsticks, tasted it, and looked as if she was in complete enjoyment, saying how delicious it was.

Hao Jian rolled his eyes at her and said, "If my noodles don’t taste good, whose noodles will?"

Even though Liang Xiaohan usually liked to tease Hao Jian, she showed her thumbs up this time, expressing appreciation for his culinary skills. In the days she spent with Hao Jian, while she couldn’t find other merits in him, which were plentiful, his cooking was genuinely excellent. It made her stomach growl during the days she was tired of the usual food, always bringing her extraordinary satisfaction.

Living with Hao Jian during this period had its perks.

"Come here." She beckoned to Hao Jian.

Hao Jian had already put down his things and planned to tidy up the kitchen, but since she called him, he had no choice but to go over. He looked at her perplexed, not knowing what she wanted.

"Feed me!" Liang Xiaohan suddenly said.

"Feed you?!" Hao Jian was visibly taken aback, not knowing why Liang Xiaohan made such a request. To him, she seemed a bit off tonight—first clamoring for his noodles and now wanting him to feed her. Did she not have hands or feet? She had them, so why need to be fed?

Instinctively, he reached out to touch her forehead. It wouldn’t be good if she had a fever, especially with Liang Yuwei arriving soon. If Liang Yuwei found Liang Xiaohan feverish when she arrived, she would surely be livid. He touched it and found it wasn’t hot. It seemed her brain wasn’t fried from a fever.

His face showed a gratifying smile; not having a fever was good, and not having a fried brain was even better. Yet, Liang Xiaohan rolled her eyes at him and said, "What’s with the touching? I’m fine. I told you to feed me, so why are you dazed? Hurry up."

Liang Xiaohan’s tone became closer to barking orders. Hao Jian looked at her with wide eyes, saying, "Spoiled brat!"

Liang Xiaohan understood the meaning behind Hao Jian’s words and said, "Quickly, or you’ll suffer if I get unhappy."

Hao Jian was too lazy to keep tangling with her, so he picked up the chopsticks and took some noodles from the bowl to feed her. Liang Xiaohan appeared to enjoy it, eating a bite and then saying, "Feed me more!"

Having already fed her one bite, feeding her more didn’t matter as long as he didn’t have to feed the entire bowl. He helplessly picked up more noodles to feed her. At first, Liang Xiaohan ate a few bites but eventually picked up her phone, snapping a picture of him feeding her noodles.

"Smile," Liang Xiaohan suddenly said to Hao Jian.

Hao Jian helplessly flashed a forced smile, then heard a "click" sound as he and Liang Xiaohan were captured in the photo, along with that bowl of noodles.

As soon as the photo was taken, Hao Jian’s face showed an expression of utter despair as he said, "Is it okay now?"

Liang Xiaohan waved her hand and said, "It’s okay, let’s go."

Hao Jian had no choice but to turn and leave. He really couldn’t understand girls these days; always needing to be fed. Does food taste better if someone feeds it to you? And also, eating is eating, but suddenly wanting to take photos while eating, not to mention selfies. Isn’t the most important thing during a meal to eat properly?

He shook his head, indicating he couldn’t fathom the thoughts in young girls’ minds today. Upon returning to the kitchen, he tidied up a bit. He wanted to go to bed without showering but after sweating while cooking noodles, his slight OCD nudged him to take a shower.

Without saying anything more to Liang Xiaohan, after cleaning up the kitchen, he took his clothes from the bedroom and headed directly to the bathroom to shower. As soon as the bathroom door closed, the sound of water flowed.

Seeing this, Liang Xiaohan immediately revealed a smug smile. She swiftly took out Hao Jian’s phone from her pocket and sent the just-taken photo to Hao Jian’s account, then quickly sent it to Zhang Danlin.

First, she sent a photo of the cooked noodles on the table to prove Hao Jian indeed cooked noodles.

Zhang Danlin, already in a bad mood from Liang Xiaohan’s messages, felt dissatisfied as her phone buzzed again with a photo of the cooked noodles. Initially thinking it was Hao Jian reclaiming his phone usage rights and messaging her, she was displeased to see it was just noodle photo.

"Ding!" the phone buzzed once more, with a photo of Hao Jian feeding noodles, without showing the person being fed. Since she took the picture using the rear camera, it didn’t capture her. But without needing to think, she knew the person Hao Jian was feeding was Liang Xiaohan.

Her face instantly turned livid, however, before she recovered, another photo arrived. Seeing it, her expression worsened as it was Hao Jian feeding Liang Xiaohan again, followed by a selfie of them smiling joyfully.

Zhang Danlin’s expression became very bitter. Being together was fine, but why send me the photos, especially such intimate ones? Of course, she knew Hao Jian wasn’t the sender of these photos, but Liang Xiaohan sending them implied what? Was it to make her stay away from Hao Jian?

She pondered this while frowning, hastily locking her phone, attempting to calm down, but her anger was uncontrollable—her chest felt tight. Alone at home since her parents were away, her isolation was intensified by the photo bombardment, leaving her feeling slightly desolate and increasingly uncomfortable.

Liang Xiaohan, lying on the sofa, noticed Zhang Danlin hadn’t responded, predicting no further messages would come, grinned triumphantly: Let’s see if you dare to pursue Hao Jian now.

Soon afterward, she deleted all chat records to prevent Hao Jian from seeing them and erased the sent photos. After doing all this, her face lit up with a smile, and she quickly finished the noodle Hao Jian cooked. She then lay on the sofa, happily flipping through her phone.

When Hao Jian came out, seeing her lounging on the sofa with her phone, he pretended not to notice her, returning to his room. Around eight o’clock, he emerged to ask Liang Xiaohan if she wanted to go out for dinner, but Liang Xiaohan, having eaten noodles, wasn’t hungry, so she declined.

Hao Jian expected this since she had noodles in the evening, thus unlikely to eat dinner. However, he wouldn’t force Liang Xiaohan to dine out with him. He donned his outdoor attire, took his phone from Liang Xiaohan, and left.

Seeing Hao Jian head out, Liang Xiaohan freshened up and retreated to her bedroom.

Hao Jian casually found a restaurant and ordered some food to eat alone. Returning, he saw two or three women on the roadside, including the woman he previously encountered—still nauseating, leading him to choose a longer route to avoid walking past them.

Taking the detour, he directly went to the community management office to report the situation.

Previously just one woman; now it’s two, maybe three women. If left unchecked, this could evolve into a miniature red-light district. Liang Xiaohan lives here and uses the place; this can’t pass. So, it’s imperative they’re removed, driven away.

What they do is their business; that’s their freedom. But if it disrupts his life, that’s not acceptable.
