Chapter 2098: Chapter 2299: Just a Little Joke!!!
Long San was completely stunned. He’d come out today leading a whole bunch of guys, all hyped up and aggressive, planning to teach Baldy a lesson and make an example out of him, so all the other small gangs would be scared. But he never expected that Baldy didn’t even get touched, and instead he himself got slapped twice in the face by some punk kid.
If it were any other time, he could’ve just brushed it off, at worst beat that punk so hard he’d start doubting life. But this time was different. When Hao Jian slapped him, it wasn’t just someone watching, it was a whole crowd. Baldy’s dozen or so guys were watching, and his own twenty or thirty men were also watching.
If outsiders saw it, he could still swallow it, but to have his own underlings watching him get slapped in the face by some punk kid... his face was gone, completely gone. Right now he was furious, but he didn’t dare say one more word, afraid that if he said even one extra sentence, Hao Jian would send another slap flying his way.
Right now he could only swallow his pride to survive. After all, Hao Jian was holding a weapon, and he was in Hao Jian’s hands, so it was better to shut up. So he just glared at Hao Jian in rage and didn’t say a word. Seeing him finally behaving, Hao Jian’s face showed a smile.
"You, come over here!" Hao Jian suddenly waved at one of Long San’s underlings.
That underling clearly froze for a second, not believing Hao Jian was calling him.
"Yeah! You. Get over here!" Hao Jian repeated impatiently.
The underling pointed at himself, and only after confirming Hao Jian was indeed calling him did he walk toward Hao Jian with a face full of confusion and fear. His steps were slow and a bit shaky; he was obviously scared. He went over and looked at Hao Jian, not knowing why Hao Jian had called him.
"Hold this." Hao Jian handed the Dagger over to him.
He visibly froze, not expecting Hao Jian to actually pass the Dagger to him, letting him hold it. He backed up two steps in fear, not daring to step up and take the Dagger. Everyone watching felt that Hao Jian definitely wasn’t just asking him to take the Dagger; there had to be some trick in there.
But Hao Jian suddenly glared at him, and it scared him so much he immediately rushed forward a few steps, grabbed the Dagger in one go, and held it in his hand, though both his hands were shaking. At this moment, Hao Jian stood up, stared straight at Long San, and suddenly said, "Come, sit. Let’s have a proper talk about this."
Long San clearly froze, but since Hao Jian was no longer grabbing him, of course he was happy. He pressed a hand to his face, which was still burning with pain, then stood up. Hao Jian glanced at the stool, so he sat down on it. Right now he looked like he’d do whatever Hao Jian told him to do, but in his heart he hated Hao Jian to the bone. He was thinking that as long as he got the chance, he’d make Hao Jian pay.
He was the number three of the Axe Gang, after all. For Hao Jian to dare slap him today, in the future he’d make Hao Jian regret it a hundred times over.
He sat down and looked at Hao Jian, not knowing what kind of medicine Hao Jian was selling in that gourd. Hao Jian just smiled at him and said, "So, I was just messing around with you a little earlier, Brother Long San. Hope Brother Long San doesn’t take it to heart."
As he spoke, Hao Jian had a grinning, joker’s face, like he really had just been joking around. But Long San’s face was still burning like fire. Those two slaps Hao Jian laid on him were still vivid in his mind. He cursed Hao Jian a few times in his heart, then looked at him with a blank, confused expression.
Right then, he glanced at the underling standing behind Hao Jian, the one holding the Dagger, and signaled him to make a move. After all, that guy was standing right behind Hao Jian, with a Dagger in hand. As long as he stabbed Hao Jian, everyone could rush in together, and Hao Jian would be dead meat.
The underling holding the Dagger Hao Jian had handed him clearly froze, a bit too scared to move, but in the next instant he suddenly acted, driving the Dagger straight toward Hao Jian’s waist.
To him, this was an opportunity—a chance for a nobody to turn his life around. If he stabbed Hao Jian and flipped the situation, Long San would definitely treat him well. That would be his moment to rise up and be somebody. People always do some crazy risky things when they see an opportunity, and he was no different.
The Dagger was already thrust out, about to stab into Hao Jian.
Suddenly, just as it was about to hit, Hao Jian’s face darkened all of a sudden. His leg shot out and smashed hard into Long San’s chest. Long San had been sitting, but with that one kick, he and the stool went flying, flipping over and crashing to the ground, a huge footprint stamped across his chest.
At the same time, Hao Jian’s hand moved, and he snatched the Dagger back. That underling clearly froze, not expecting Hao Jian to notice and react this fast. The next second, before he could react, a piercing pain exploded in his thigh.
Instinctively he looked down, and the Dagger was buried in his thigh. After it went in, Hao Jian pulled it out again, then stabbed it in and pulled it out, repeating that motion several times in just one or two seconds. By the time he yanked it out again, the guy’s thigh was already gushing blood.
Hao Jian had obviously lost interest in him. He kicked him in the chest, sending him flying, then turned around and looked back at Long San.
In an instant, everyone who saw this scene was stunned. That... speed could actually be that fast? They hadn’t even seen the moves clearly just now, and that guy’s thigh was already full of holes and covered in blood. It was downright terrifying.
A few people had rushed to help Long San up when he first went down, but when Hao Jian turned to look at Long San and glared at them, they were so scared they hurriedly backed off several steps and let go of Long San. Long San crashed back to the ground again.
Hao Jian walked over, glanced at Lin Dongyang, then pulled out his phone, switched on the camera to video mode, and aimed it at Long San who was getting ready.
Long San had just seen Hao Jian make a move, that scene of him stabbing a guy’s thigh three or four times in a row with the Dagger without a flicker of hesitation. Just thinking about it was terrifying. He’d never seen anyone strike with such vicious, ruthless hands before. Scared, he hurriedly backed up a few steps.
Hao Jian just smiled and said, "Since you wanted to come, let’s have a bit more fun."
As he spoke, he suddenly raised the Dagger and drove it straight down into Long San’s thigh. Long San let out a miserable scream, "Ah!" his face twisted in pain.
Hao Jian yanked the Dagger out, and blood instantly spurted out. Long San was so terrified he immediately clamped his hand over it. Hao Jian smiled and said, "Press it. I went for the artery. Every time you move, you lose a bit more blood, so don’t move around."
At this moment, the onlookers beside them were all dumbfounded. Not just at how vicious Hao Jian’s strike was—no hesitation at all, one Dagger straight into the flesh—but also at how fast he moved. It happened so quick they didn’t even have time to see it clearly before it was already over.
Everyone was stunned. Even though they were watching their own boss getting beaten, not a single one of them dared take a step forward. They were all cowed by Hao Jian.
Right then, Hao Jian turned his head and glanced at Baldy, and Baldy walked over.
"Start." Hao Jian said.
Baldy nodded, then stepped up and swung a slap across Long San’s face, then another four or five in a row. Long San was obviously dazed from the blows, but he still didn’t dare move, because the artery in his thigh had been sliced by Hao Jian. If he moved even a little, the arterial blood would start spraying out.
"You—" Long San was furious.
But before he could finish, there was a sharp "smack!" and Baldy’s palm crashed into his face again. The slapping went on for a long time, until his whole face was red and swollen. And all of this was being recorded on Lin Dongyang’s phone.
When Long San’s face was so red it was unrecognizable, Baldy finally stopped. The twenty or thirty underlings under Long San had been watching from the side the whole time, but none of them dared step forward, because Hao Jian was standing there. He stood there like some Murder God, and they were scared—no one dared go up.
Baldy, like he’d completed his task, straightened up and gave Hao Jian a nod. Hao Jian chuckled, waved him off to the side, then took the phone from Lin Dongyang’s hand and watched the video, looking very satisfied.
Then he smiled at Long San and said, "Alright, game’s over."
Right away, with a wave of his hand, Baldy’s dozen-odd boys opened the door. Hao Jian walked at the front, swaggering as he strolled out. Baldy followed behind, then Lin Dongyang. After the three of them left, the dozen or so underlings followed them out.
Once they were all gone, Long San’s twenty or thirty guys rushed toward him all at once.
"Boss! You okay?"
"Caonima!" Long San cursed and cracked a slap across that underling’s face.
If his femoral artery hadn’t been injured, he would’ve kicked that underling over with one kick right then.
Fuck, when I was getting worked over you all just stood there watching, and only after I’ve been done do you come ask if I’m okay? Fuck your mother. This is what you call ’okay’?
"Boss..." The underlings wanted to speak but didn’t dare.
"Still not calling a doctor for me?" Long San roared.
Hearing that, the underlings immediately pulled out their phones and started calling for a doctor.
And by this time, Hao Jian had already left with Baldy and the others.
