Chapter 2664: Chapter 2664: The Immortal Palace Is Hard to Enter

Su Yang recalled what the Emperor Slave said earlier; after the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet was shattered, the rules of the Heavenly Dao were also considered broken. Under such circumstances, they, who do not adhere to the Heavenly Dao rules, can absorb Heavenly Level Spiritual Energy.

If it were in Ancient Times, when the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet hadn’t been shattered, even if everyone was bathed in Heavenly Level Spiritual Energy, they wouldn’t be able to absorb it.

Su Yang, carrying three Crystal Skulls, quickly hurried to the Immortal Palace. From a distance, the Immortal Palace was still shrouded in a haze.

According to the Emperor Slave’s words, the fog outside had been left behind since Ancient Times. The three great Ancient strong men joined forces to seal the Immortal Palace, resulting in the current situation.

Standing in front of the Immortal Palace, Su Yang and the others could feel that the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet was inside the Immortal Palace. Because the spiritual energy here is the most concentrated, and this energy is emanating from the Immortal Palace.

"It’s in here!" Su Yang looked around and said in a low voice, "Let’s go, get ready to head in!"

"How do we get in?" The Third City Lord asked in puzzlement, "The door is closed, and it’s sealed by fog!"

"Didn’t you guys come in through that passage in the back before?" Su Yang said.

"Yes, the conditions inside that passage, I feel as though I have some memory of them!" The Great City Lord nodded, "But the problem is, the passage leads to other Great Worlds; there aren’t any other paths."

"Let’s go in and take a look!" Su Yang said.

The four of them moved to the back, entering the Immortal Palace through that passage.

This passage was one Su Yang and his companions had traversed many times before, and everything inside remained unchanged. Apart from the dense spiritual energy, there was nothing particularly special about it. Rapidly, they reached the place of the vortex; passing through this vortex would lead to other Great Worlds.

"Just like that..." The Third City Lord shrugged, "There’s no way into the Immortal Palace; this passage seems just to be a passage, separate from the Immortal Palace."

Su Yang was equally puzzled; the passage walls were spatial barriers, strong enough that their power couldn’t open them.

Su Yang summoned the Chaos Sparrow, letting it attempt to open the spatial barrier. However, once the barrier was broken, only chaos was revealed, not the Immortal Palace.

"Strange, where is the entrance to this Immortal Palace?" Su Yang asked in puzzlement, and the three Crystal Skulls were equally confused.

The Chaos Sparrow fluttered about, suddenly chirping several times, leading the way ahead.

"The little one has discovered something, quickly follow!" Su Yang immediately commanded.

The four followed the Chaos Sparrow, arriving at the vortex at the end of the passage.

The Chaos Sparrow chirped several times, extended its wings and tapped on the vortex, causing it to stop directly. It turned its head, signaling for Su Yang and the others to pass through the vortex.

"I know, I know, you can stabilize the vortex and take us to any Great World!" Su Yang nodded, "But we’re not trying to go to another Great World, we’re trying to get inside this Immortal Palace."

The Chaos Sparrow chirped repeatedly, insisting that Su Yang should go through.

Su Yang was slightly puzzled, unsure of the Chaos Sparrow’s intent.

"How about giving it a try?" Su Yang proposed.

The three Crystal Skulls exchanged glances, and the Great City Lord said, "Alright, since there’s nothing else, let’s go and see what the situation is. Perhaps, the entrance to the Immortal Palace isn’t in this Great World at all!"

Su Yang nodded, and the four went straight through the vortex.

On the other side of the vortex, there was still a passage.

However, once inside this passage, Su Yang and the others distinctly felt an unusual aura.

An aura so desolate as if it had been abandoned for countless years.

"We’ve never been to this world!" The Great City Lord remarked in astonishment.

Su Yang was also perplexed, as they indeed hadn’t ventured into this passage before. Moreover, the aura of this passage was entirely different from other passages, which seemed peculiar.

"Why did the Chaos Sparrow bring us here?" The Second City Lord asked in surprise, "What kind of place is this?"

"We’re still in this passage; surely this is some Great World." The Third City Lord said, "But, is this Great World truly this desolate? This passage itself feels somewhat barren; what’s going on?"

Su Yang was just about to speak, but the Chaos Sparrow had already flown up, chirping a few more times, signaling Su Yang and the others to follow.

The four exchanged glances, following behind the Chaos Sparrow.

Soon, the four exited the passage and arrived in this Array.

The Array still held a desolate aura, consistent with the previous situation.

"We’ve come out again!" The Second City Lord grimaced, "Hey, little guy, can’t you stop flying around? We’re trying to enter the Immortal Palace, not roam outside or in some other Great World!"

The Chaos Sparrow seemed quite displeased, chirping several times.

"What’s this attitude? You don’t like being told off? Your attitude is quite spicy for a little one!" The Second City Lord mumbled.

"Enough, you shut it!" The Great City Lord slapped the Second City Lord, addressing Su Yang, "Boss, why don’t we go back into the passage and explore, see if there’s any other yield?"

But Su Yang said nothing, his gaze continuously scanning the surroundings as if discovering something extraordinary.

"Boss, what are you looking at?" The Third City Lord asked curiously.

Su Yang took a deep breath and murmured, "Do you think this place is a bit peculiar?"

"Peculiar?" The three Crystal Skulls exchanged puzzled glances, "What peculiar? It’s somewhat desolate, but isn’t it similar to other Arrays?"

"I’m not talking about the Array..." Su Yang said solemnly, "Haven’t you noticed, there aren’t any skeletal remains within this Array!"

"Hmm?" The three Crystal Skulls paused, then widened their eyes simultaneously.

If Su Yang hadn’t mentioned it, they hadn’t paid attention. Hearing Su Yang now, they too were suddenly struck by realization.

Indeed, despite being here such a long time, they hadn’t found a single skeletal remains, which was very odd.

Outside the Immortal Palace, there were numerous Ancient Guardian God skeletal remains. They were left behind by the Guardian God warriors who perished outside the Immortal Palace during the ancient battle.

Earlier, the three Crystal Skulls had been chased by those skeletal remains. They were very familiar with those remains.

And now, within this Array, not a single skeleton was found; what exactly was going on?

"Yeah, where are the skeletal remains?" The Second City Lord asked in shock, "Why are none of these remnants visible?"
