Chapter 2642: Chapter 2642: Immortal

"What’s wrong?" the Second City Lord asked at once.

The Great City Lord pointed at one of the mountains and said, "On that mountain live the three strongest people on this planet, all at the Saint King realm. Logically speaking, since they’re the strongest, on this planet they’re already true gods. But did you notice? Those three actually worship a god as well!"

Hearing this, Su Yang froze for a moment. He had swept his gaze over just now, but hadn’t paid attention to these details. Now that he heard the Great City Lord say this, he immediately felt that something was off.

The three strongest people on this planet still have to worship a god? They’re already gods themselves, what god are they worshipping? What kind of god is that?

"Let’s go down and take a look," Su Yang said in a low voice.

They landed on that mountain, and the three Saint Kings inside didn’t notice a thing. The gap in strength between them and Su Yang’s group of four was too large. Even if Su Yang’s group stood right in front of them, as long as they didn’t want to be seen, those three wouldn’t see a thing.

The four of them first took a walk around the place where the three Saint Kings lived, checking on the situation of these three Saint Kings.

They discovered that these three Saint Kings had very high prestige on this planet. Or rather, these three were the true gods of this planet; everyone on this planet revered them.

This situation was just like those Saints of the Nine Realms Su Yang had seen before. Saints were the true gods, existences everyone revered.

And the Nine Realms Saints didn’t worship any gods. Because they didn’t know if there was anything above them; as far as they were concerned, they themselves were the strongest!

But these three Saint Kings actually worshipped a god—that was a bit strange.

Who exactly were they worshipping? What kind of existence could make these three top experts bow down? Could it be that there was an even stronger being on this planet before them?

After wandering around for a while, Su Yang and the others found that the god these three Saint Kings worshipped was only two people, a man and a woman. The man held a sword, the woman held a Treasure Bead. They actually looked more like a pair of roaming heroes, quite different from typical divine statues.

Finding nothing of value, the four of them simply revealed themselves and grabbed the three clueless Saint Kings, pulling them into Su Yang’s Personal Space.

The three Saint Kings had no idea what had just happened. Once they were dragged into Su Yang’s Personal Space, they realized something was wrong and immediately tried to resist. However, once Su Yang appeared and released his overwhelming aura, the three Saint Kings instantly went limp.

"Immortal! Immortal!" One of the Saint Kings cried out in shock. The other two also exclaimed one after another and immediately knelt to the ground.

"Immortal?" Su Yang was taken aback. Why did this title sound like something a bunch of bumpkins who’ve never seen the world would say? You three are already Saint Kings—do you really need to get this worked up just seeing a Saint Emperor?

"You’re calling me Immortal?" Su Yang asked. "Why are you calling us Immortals?"

"The feeling you give us is just... just like those Immortals who came to save our world before. You... you must be Immortals!" the leading Saint King said.

"Immortals who saved your world before?" Su Yang was slightly stunned, then said, "Is it that man and woman you worship?"

"Yes, yes, it’s those two Immortals who saved our world!" the leading Saint King said excitedly. "Immortal, are you from the same place as them?"

Su Yang didn’t answer. Instead, he silently pondered this in his heart. If that man and woman felt the same as he did, didn’t that mean they were also at the Saint Emperor level?

These three Saint Kings looked like total country bumpkins who had never seen anything. There was no way to get any valuable information out of them. But that man and woman were different. They had stepped in to save this world and were very strong; they definitely knew a lot.

It seemed that if he wanted answers, he’d have to find that pair.

Thinking of this, Su Yang smiled and said, "You’ve got a good eye, seeing it at a glance. That’s right, we do come from the same place as they do. But the two of them got lost and haven’t been able to find their way back. This time we came out specifically to look for them. Do you know where they went?"

"We really don’t know!" The leading Saint Emperor shook his head. "After the two Immortals saved our world, they taught us some Cultivation methods, then left. All these years, the two Immortals have never appeared again."

"Your Cultivation methods were taught by them?" Su Yang couldn’t help feeling puzzled. Did this planet not have its own Cultivation methods?

"Yes, all of them were taught by those two Immortals. If not for them, no one in our world would be able to cultivate, and we wouldn’t have our current Cultivation achievements!" the leading Saint King said gratefully.

Su Yang and the three Crystal Skulls exchanged a look. Something about this was odd.

In the Great World where Su Yang came from, it was always the Guardian Gods who passed down certain Cultivation methods through Demon Beasts into their worlds, letting them cultivate so they could farm for the gods. But why wasn’t it the Guardian God doing it here? Could that man and woman be the Guardian Gods?

But judging from the statues of that man and woman, they didn’t look like Guardian Gods at all!

What on earth was going on?

Su Yang asked a few more questions but still couldn’t get any valuable information. These three Saint Kings knew absolutely nothing about the outside world. From the start of their Cultivation up until now, they had never left this planet and had no idea how vast the world outside really was.

Since there was nothing more to learn from them, Su Yang and the others gave up in the end and left this Star Domain.

Next, they passed through several Star Domains one after another. The situations in those Star Domains were similar to what Su Yang had seen in the previous one.

That man and woman had been to these Star Domains and had left behind seeds of Cultivation. Only then were the Human Clan in these Star Domains eventually able to cultivate. In two of the Star Domains, Saint Emperor Level experts had even appeared, though their strength wasn’t great.

This situation made Su Yang and the others even more puzzled. Why wasn’t the Guardian God here to farm, and instead a pair of Human Clan man and woman came to teach them Cultivation?

This only made them more eager to find that pair and figure out what was really going on.

After tracking clues for three years straight, Su Yang and the others finally found a trace. In one Intermediate World, there was a Magical Treasure left behind by that man and woman back then.

This Magical Treasure wasn’t actually very powerful, about on par with the fake Divine Artifacts the Nine Realms Saints had used before. But because it had been left by that man and woman, the people of this Star Domain had always treated it as a Holy Artifact and worshipped it.

From the aura of this Magical Treasure, Su Yang and the others became even more certain that the man and woman were Human Clan, and definitely not Guardian Gods!
