Chapter 1585: Chapter 1585: Taking Her Home with Him

What did he just say?

He said Joy’s mommy was already dead?

Chloe looked at the cold indifference and finality in his eyes. She’d lost a lot of memories and could no longer remember what had happened between them, but it seemed like the two of them had already split up, probably because their feelings had fallen apart.

She didn’t remember him anymore, and he had already started a brand new life. That was actually pretty good.

Whatever kind of woman he found out there had nothing to do with her.

The only tie between them now was Joy. The two of them could share custody and raise him together, give Joy a complete life.

Thinking of it that way, Chloe actually felt relieved. She nodded and said, "That’s great. From now on, you and Joy’s mommy can each marry whoever you want. We’ll have nothing to do with each other."

With that, Chloe directly pushed Morgan Ashworth away and went inside.

Morgan’s face was dark as he watched her disappearing figure. She said they’d each marry whoever they wanted and have nothing to do with each other?

He found it unbearably ironic.

...

After Morgan adjusted his mood, he went inside. Chloe and Ethan Ashworth were together, chatting about who knew what, both looking very happy.

"Ethan Ashworth." Morgan called out.

The little milk bun saw his daddy come in and immediately darted in front of Chloe to protect her. "Daddy, don’t you dare hurt my Kiki teacher."

Kiki teacher, Kiki teacher—had she poured some kind of love potion on his son?

Morgan said in a low voice, "Ethan Ashworth, you’re coming home with me right now."

"No. My grandma’s coming over in a bit. I want to see my grandma!" the little milk bun insisted.

"I already talked to your grandma on the phone. She’s not coming here anymore. She’ll go straight to our place. If you don’t go home, you won’t see your grandma."

He had called Serena Sterling and already informed her.

Ethan let out an "ah-ow" and could only obediently follow his daddy home, but he still reluctantly clutched Chloe’s hand. "Kiki teacher, come home with me."

What?

Go home with him?

Chloe and Morgan were both stunned.

"Yeah, Kiki teacher, my house is super big, with lots of rooms. You can live at my place and play with me, okay?"

This...?

Chloe looked over at Morgan.

Morgan said, "No way!"

"Why not? I want to invite Kiki teacher to my house as a guest. Daddy, if you don’t agree, I’m not going home either!" The little milk bun plopped right down on the floor, insisting that Chloe had to go back with him.

Chloe hurried to comfort the little milk bun. "Joy, Kiki teacher will visit your house when I’ve got time. You go home with your daddy first."

"Kiki teacher, why won’t you come back with me? Do you not like me anymore?" As he spoke, Ethan squeezed out two tears and cried sadly, "I knew it, none of you like me. I’m just a little kid nobody likes. Boohoo, I’m so pitiful~"

Chloe’s heart softened on the spot. She scooped the little milk bun into her arms and comforted him. "Okay, okay, okay, Joy, don’t cry. Kiki teacher will go back with you."

As she spoke, Chloe looked at Morgan. "President Ashworth, I’ll be imposing on you tonight."

She was sending Morgan a message—just for one night, to coax Joy a bit. Tomorrow she’d leave on her own.

Looking at his little son throwing a tantrum, Morgan had a headache and felt helpless. He finally nodded in agreement. "Ethan Ashworth, wipe those tears right now, or your Kiki teacher won’t be able to come to our house."

Daddy agreed!

Oh yeah.
