Chapter 29: Chapter 25: Giant Potion
"Get the hell out! Get out of my sight! When did I say you could come in?! I’m banning you from the Artifact Refining Hall for three months!" Mo Liusheng roared, flames of fury burning in his eyes.
The smile on Xiao Chunfeng’s face grew even wider...
’Excellent, just as I expected. The Dean is furious...’
"Did you hear that, you waste? How could the Dean possibly be fooled by you? Get out now! Or I’ll throw you out myself!" Xiao Chunfeng’s face split into a wide grin as he looked at Shen Lang, cracking his knuckles in anticipation.
"I’m fucking talking to *you*—Xiao Chunfeng! Get the hell out!" Mo Liusheng repeated, his voice ice-cold as he fought the urge to slap the boy flat.
Xiao Chunfeng froze, his mind unable to process what was happening.
’This isn’t right. Why is he telling *me* to get out? It makes no sense...’
’Shouldn’t he be telling that waste Shen Lang to get out?’
Xiao Chunfeng turned his head and saw that "waste" looking back at him with a "kind" smile full of pity.
"Two of you, drag him out of here! I don’t want to see him for the next three months!" Mo Liusheng added with a cold snort.
At that, two men from the crowd peeking through the doorway ducked their heads and hurried over. Each grabbed one of Xiao Chunfeng’s arms and began to drag him out.
Only then did Xiao Chunfeng finally realize that he was, in fact, the one being yelled at.
’But why was I the one getting cursed out?’
’It makes no sense... Shen Lang is definitely a waste; that much is an undeniable fact!’
’Besides, the Shen Family has no connections at Tayun Academy. If they did, Shen Lang wouldn’t have fared so poorly here all these years.’
When he’d woken up outside, the other students had said that Shen Lang was receiving personal instruction from the Dean...
That was why he’d gone berserk! The humiliation of being knocked unconscious, combined with the fact that a supposed genius like himself, Xiao Chunfeng, had never received one-on-one instruction from the Dean...
’Shen Lang must have used some kind of trick or silver-tongued words to deceive the Dean!’
’All I had to do was charge in, expose him for the waste he is, reveal his deception... and tell the Dean that he knocked me unconscious. That waste would have been utterly humiliated and then severely punished!’
’He might even have been expelled!’
’The Dean hates being deceived more than anything, and for that waste to attack someone in his class... that’s a direct challenge to the Dean’s authority!’
’So why had it all turned out like this?’
He had never seen the Dean this furious... and the target of that fury was him, Xiao Chunfeng!
And it seemed to be on behalf of that waste, of all people...
Xiao Chunfeng had gone completely limp and hadn’t even been dragged to the doorway yet when he heard Mo Liusheng say, "Young man, please calm down. Pay no mind to this idiot. If he dares to give you any more trouble, I’ll kick him right out of Tayun Academy! It won’t matter even if his grandfather shows up!"
"Y-Young man... calm down..." The whites of Xiao Chunfeng’s eyes rolled back, and he fainted dead away.
Seeing his sorry state, the crowd at the doorway began to snicker.
Although they didn’t know if Shen Lang had succeeded, they understood the gist of the situation. The fact was, Xiao Chunfeng was just an incredibly unlikeable person. The guy was so arrogant that he saw everyone around him as wastes, and as a result, he had offended far too many people.
So, when he had woken up and seen the crowd outside, he’d asked what was going on.
Someone had casually mentioned that they weren’t sure if this Shen Lang fellow had powerful backing, but he was somehow receiving personal instruction from the Dean...
Before they had even finished speaking, the fool had kicked the door open and stormed inside.
It was a classic case of choosing the path to Hell when the road to Heaven was wide open...
One might be forgiven for sins ordained by Heaven, but for sins of one’s own making, there is no escape.
"Well, what needed to be done is done. I’ll be leaving now. We can discuss other matters later," Shen Lang said nonchalantly, not even sparing Xiao Chunfeng a single glance.
Mo Liusheng knew Shen Lang had other business to attend to, so he didn’t try to keep him. After a few kind words and urging him to come directly to him if he ever needed anything, he let Shen Lang go.
...
Night fell quietly, a hazy darkness settling in as the bright moonlight cast a silver radiance across the sky.
Within the gloomy forest, a Mountain-Pushing Beast as large as a water buffalo moved slowly. Its bloodthirsty eyes vigilantly scanned the surrounding woods, and its sharp tusks glinted with a cold, sinister light.
This Second Level Demon Beast, the Mountain-Pushing Beast, resembled a wild boar. It had tough, thick skin, immense strength, and could use the Stone Skin Technique, giving it extremely high Defense Power.
If it had any weakness, it was its relatively low intelligence.
Just as the Mountain-Pushing Beast returned to its lair and was about to enter a rocky cave... frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
PFFT! With a soft, muffled sound, a spray of dry leaves erupted into the air not far from the Mountain-Pushing Beast. A dark figure then shot out like a whirlwind, pouncing on the creature.
AWOO!
Startled by the sudden attack, the Mountain-Pushing Beast spun around in a panic, letting out a roar that was both fearful and threatening.
As it roared, a thick layer of rock instantly materialized over its body, tightly encasing it.
But the attacking figure was simply too fast. The Mountain-Pushing Beast had barely reacted when a fist, crackling with a fierce and Powerful Qi, swelled in its vision before smashing viciously into its head! freewёbnoνel.com
AWOO!
Amid a spray of shattered rock, the Mountain-Pushing Beast’s massive body stumbled back several meters. This roar was a cry of pure pain.
