Chapter 1892: Each to Their Own Path (II)

“......” Li Hao stared down his friend. You talking about me? That I’m some kinda bloodthirsty savage? I had no choice but to strike back at those seventh and eighth ranks!

Void shrugged when he saw that the young man refused to admit to anything. We’ve known each other for a few years now, ever since you walked out of Silver Moon. We’ve worked together all this time.

What kind of person was Li Hao?

The four regions defined the Human King as an obnoxious and overbearing individual, but he wasn’t that extreme when he conducted his affairs. Only when someone offended him did he take ruthless action.

And Li Hao?

Now that was someone... truly ruthless. Of those who’d offended him, only the Red Moon master was still alive. As for the Dragon master, Li Hao had taken the offensive to him. In the four regions, only the Red Moon master was alive out of those who’d offended Li Hao.

Not that many battles had taken place in the four regions prior. The Human King had only eliminated Elysian Fields and Utmost Dark. The remaining major worlds that’d fallen nearly all had to do with Li Hao. And even though the destruction of Blazing Sun and Skycloud looked like it had nothing to do with Li Hao, they would not have taken place if Red Moon hadn’t been toppled.

As the saying went, the dog that bit did not bark. Just look at the pets that each side kept.

New Martial’s citizens, cat, and dog were loud and proud, whereas Li Hao’s side kept a quiet profile while delivering hits that hurt. The two sides were opposite ends of a spectrum.

Li Hao rubbed his chin and glanced at Void.

What? Why are you looking at me like I know too much?

“Alright, we can stop going back and forth like this,” Li Hao burst out laughing. “Brother Void has developed a love of jokes ever since leaving Skyward.”

“......” Void shrugged again. Li Hao was polite to everyone. He often threw around honorifics like senior, elder, and fellow daoist, but was ruthless when he made his moves.

Void couldn’t be bothered to speak on and said, “Where do we go from here?”

“There are many worlds in the chaos and I’m most interested in the south, but it’s a bit far away from here. It’s also the territory of monster spirits, so it’s not a very ideal place to visit.

“Since we’re not that familiar with the chaos yet, let’s take things one step at a time. We’re closest to Gemini at the moment, so let’s visit there first. The rest of the east can be our focus after that, including the worlds of Reincarnation and the others...”

They needed to scan all of the eastern powerhouses first and assess their strength. If one wished to discuss dao, one needed the requisite strength to back those preferences up.

These days, going around asking questions without sufficient strength to support oneself would quickly lead to death. It was too dangerous!

The path of dao was a bumpy road. One needed to try every avenue possible. If seeking dao and asking questions about it was out of the realm of possibility, then some underhanded ways might be required.

“Alrighty then!” Void agreed readily and called out, “Seniors, Fellow Daoist Hao Moon is ready to move out!”

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Cultivators immediately flashed over.

“......” Li Hao didn’t know what to say. What were they so worked up for?

I’m just going out for a look. Seriously, just a look. I’ll exchange reflections on dao if I can and switch to a new place if I can’t. It’ll basically be the equivalent of roaming through the chaos.

Thunder World is an eighth rank world and currently situated in a place of dense chaos energy. It’s very comfortable being here, so why are you guys champing at the bit to follow me?

“I’m not taking regular folks with me this time,” Li Hao said after some thought. “Everyone needs some time to digest their gains. Senior Number Two can come with me, and Brother Void...”

The young man looked at Fog Mountain, the dao chess, and Thunder master. “Does Senior Fog Mountain wish to take a look around outside or...” fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

“I’ll go!” Fog Mountain immediately responded. He coughed awkwardly when he saw Li Hao raise an eyebrow at him. “I’m mostly concerned about your safety. This is the outer regions and there are a lot of eighth ranks here. Although everyone is very strong, it’s still a hassle to run into an eighth rank...”

Fine then, there was no need to say anything else.

The young man then looked at the dao chess. The treasure’s shadow looked woefully back at him. You owe me an eighth rank world... of course I’m going to go... What if you forget?

Fine then, there was no need to ask further when it came to this one.

“Then it’s me, Void, Fog Mountain, Number Two, the dao chess...” He paused, then added, “As well as Panther and the queen.”

Some people twitched, but didn’t say anything. Gan Wuliang and his peers had entered Great Li World. It was still sealed away. That left a large number of people outside, such as Hong Yitang, Yuan Shuo, Southern Fist...

It was one thing to not bring them and take Panther instead, but why was the queen going?

Such were the thoughts of Southern Fist and the rest. Meanwhile, Yuan Shuo was thinking that the brat never gets up to anything good when he goes outside. Look at him taking the queen with him. What’s she going for?

To recruit people!

What people?

The humans within the worlds!

Clearly, Li Hao was prepared to do something significant. Eliminating worlds might be a given outcome.

Panther was the weakest among the group as it’d just set foot into sixth rank yesterday. The queen was also a mere fourth rank, and an unstable one at that. Why bring her along?

Her only function was to accept people in her divine nation!

As for Panther, the dog would be able to transport another world if they left Silver Moon here. Number Two could as well...

This entourage was clearly in preparation for killing people and seizing more worlds.

“Ah, the Fellow Daoist Kang Han who we invited to join us a few days ago can come along as our guide,” Li Hao continued without explanation. “We are unfamiliar with the outer regions. Although he’s just a fourth rank, that is sufficient for showing us the way...”

“Then me and Orchid Forest...” raised the Thunder master.

“You guys have major worlds to safeguard and transporting them isn’t very convenient." Li Hao looked at the two men. “Orchid Forest has just ascended to seventh rank. It also hasn’t been long since Thunder World made it to eighth. The two of you should stay here and keep watch over each other. It will be safer that way.”

The Orchid Forest master didn’t mind the arrangement. Much had been happening lately. His world had just taken a step forward and he had more exalted emperors under his banner than the Thunder master. He’d also taken in quite a few people of the four worlds in the earlier campaign, so he was quite preoccupied with these matters lately.

He was very busy!

On the other hand, the Thunder master was the opposite of busy. There were too few people in his world and less than twenty exalted emperors. He’d also been trapped in Dragon Region for too long, so wanted to go out and stretch his legs at the moment.

However, Li Hao did not want to take him.

An eighth rank could leave whenever he wished to, but that would leave Thunder World defenseless. The Thunder master was quite regretful about this outcome!

Li Hao was surprised by the reaction. He hadn’t thought that the Thunder master would be someone who wanted to go out on an adventure!

There weren’t many in his party. With the inclusion of Li Hao and Kang Han, that made for only eight. There was one eighth rank, four seventh ranks, one sixth rank, and two fourth ranks.

This showing of force was sufficient to take an eighth rank world with, assuming that Fog Mountain could handle the world master.

......

Kang Han nearly burst into grateful tears when he reemerged in the chaos. He’d thought that he would be executed in that world! When Li Hao gently asked if he was willing to be a guide, Kang Han nearly sobbed.

So I don’t need to die? Life is so good!

He’d gotten a clearer picture over the last couple of days. Out of this group, it was this person who appeared to be a sixth rank that was their leader. The one called Li Hao only possessed sixth rank strength, but he led two eighth ranks and multiple seventh ranks!

None of the rest showed any dissatisfaction at taking orders from a sixth rank. That was incredible and extremely strange!

Kang Han wondered at one point if Li Hao’s father was the Skyward master. How else would such a situation come to pass?

If his father was the Skyward master, then the latter had vanished for too long. Even if he was still alive, the eighth ranks were of another world. They had no need to listen to him, did they?

Kang Han wasn’t inclined to dwell upon this further at this point. He’d thought he would die, so he was overjoyed to still be alive.

“Senior...”

“There’s no need to call me a senior,” laughed Li Hao. “It’s not good to be too uptight when out and about. You can just call me Hao Moon. We’ll need plenty of help from Fellow Daoist Kang Han while we’re out and about. We’re unfamiliar with the area and don’t know much about the outer regions. We hope that the fellow daoist can give us some pointers.”

“......” Kang Han smiled ruefully. In this day and age, having superior strength is to be familiar with an area! “I will do my best...

“Se—fellow daoist Li, where might you wish to go on this trip?” he asked carefully.

“Let’s go to Gemini!” Li Hao offered after some thought. He wasn’t really interested, but the eighth rank world was right on his doorstep. It wouldn’t take too much effort to swing by.

Hot damn! Kang Han didn’t know what to say. So your first destination is Gemini? You’re not going to wage war on them, are you?

In his eyes, everyone from the four regions was the definition of berserk savages. However, he had no choice but to show them the way since they wished it.

......

The group set out without hesitation. It was their first time walking out of the four regions, so everywhere was new and unfamiliar. Any destination was the same to them. At least Gemini was somewhat known to them because everyone had heard the name before.

They also knew that the two eighth rank brothers were down one. The Dragon master had killed him, they had nothing to do with it. Fog Mountain was even an old friend of Earth Yang since the two had once exchanged blows.

And so, the group set out toward Gemini major world world, whereas the Human King took the two Ironeater seventh ranks straight toward... wherever there were people.

The Human King didn’t know where Reincarnation was or what the situation in the outer region was. He could ask all the questions he wanted when he found someone. The answers would determine his next steps, such as whether or not he should reveal the pandas and let those of Reincarnation come to him.

One wanted to keep a low profile, the other was prepared to conduct himself with a high profile.

......

At the same time of their departure, someone else walked out of Thunder Region.

The supreme sighed and looked at the listless cat next to him. So what if Fang Ping left, why do you have to act like you’re half dead? I didn’t let you go because the handover needs some time! Are you in such a hurry?

That asshole Fang Ping left the world behind and immediately skedaddled. He’d departed so quickly that even the supreme didn’t believe it.

Upon looking around him, the supreme saw the Light master traveling with four seventh ranks. The man was also depressed because Light major world was no more. It was officially a footnote in history today.

From today forth, New Martial had many powerhouses under its banner. It would be easy for it to establish its footing anywhere in the outer regions.
