Andrew gritted his teeth against his hunger as a slab of raw meat the size of his head appeared in his hand. He immediately covered his palm in blue flames, but this time, he carefully controlled the heat.
In just a few seconds, the meat was perfectly barbecued. Andrew gritted his teeth and tore a massive chunk out of the meat.
Suddenly, his face went blank in surprise. "Why is this so good?" He didn’t expect the meat to be so tender and sweet. It was as though he was chewing a perfect blend of premium turkey and savory pork at the same time.
As he swallowed, two more Grey Rats seemed to have heard the commotion and scurried out from the deep forest, their beady eyes locking onto him.
Andrew continued munching on the Grey Rat meat. His new talent, [Devouring Intestine], was working overtime, quickly digesting the massive chunks of meat and converting them directly into raw vitality. Seeing its companion’s agonizing fate, the second rat dodged. It docked to the left, then suddenly faked its movement and darted right, using an erratic body feint to slip past Andrew’s fireball before charging straight at him with its bared fangs!
Andrew simply chuckled. He flicked his index finger in a casual, ’come-hither’ motion.
The missed fireball instantly curved in the air, arcing back like a glowing blue boomerang!
It slammed directly into the back of the dodging Grey Rat, covering its entire body in roaring blue flames.

Instead of following the system map toward the Beginner’s Village and safety, Andrew walked in the exact opposite direction, straight toward danger.

Andrew conjured five fireballs and hissed them forward, but the rats easily twisted their bodies, dodging the SS-Rank flames with terrifying agility.
"Hmph. I thought by now, my control would have improved with my 10,000x system multiplier," Andrew pouted. He casually devoured another 1kg chunk of meat, wiped his greasy hand on his trousers, and then stretched out his right hand.
Instantly, the Godslayer Blade appeared in his palm! The moment the Mythic weapon sensed his battle intent, its body trembled, letting out a happy, bloodthirsty vibration that hummed up his arm.

Just as the first Grey Rat closed the distance and leapt at his throat.
Andrew simply waved his blade. The rat’s claws collided with the Godslayer, but the Mythic blade didn’t even slow down! It sliced cleanly through the claws and tore the rat into two symmetrical halves, showering the dirt in blood.
At the exact same time, another rat leapt at him from the side, its jaws opened wide, trying to devour Andrew’s head in one bite!
Andrew leaned to the side, letting the snapping jaws miss his ear by an inch. His left hand clenched into a flaming fist as he delivered a devastating hook directly to the beast’s skull!
Instantly, blue flames engulfed its head! The sheer kinetic force of the punch sent the rat flying, rolling across the ground like a bowling ball of fire.
Andrew took several quick strides backward to dodge two more lunging attacks, maneuvering himself face-to-face with another beast. He pointed his index finger forward, shaping his hand like a gun. A concentrated blue flame conjured around his fingertip.
The moment he dropped his thumb like a hammer, the flames flew forward like a bullet!
"Bang!"
The rat was scorched instantly, its head vaporized. Andrew stomped his feet and blasted forward with explosive speed! He caught a rat off-guard, splitting its skull down the middle before it could even register his movement!
Without pausing, he switched his grip on the Godslayer to a backhanded hold and stabbed the blade viciously behind him.
