Chapter 209: Chapter 209: Uranos
The dust had barely settled in the courtyard of the Howling Keep when a screeching alarm echoed from the highest watchtower.
"My Emperor! We have a situation!" Snark the Imp yelled, flapping his leathery wings furiously as he landed on the balcony railing.
"Speak clearly, little demon," Adonis commanded, calm and unbothered.
"Massive dust clouds on the southern horizon!" Snark squeaked in a panic. "It is Demon King Uranos! He must have heard your global broadcast! He is marching his entire Demonic Monkey Legion straight for our gates!"
Sirius let out a dramatic sigh and crossed her arms. "Uranos? That overgrown, flea-bitten furball? He always was entirely too impulsive for his own good."
"You know this king?" Adonis asked, turning his violet eyes toward the beautiful succubus.
"Unfortunately, yes. He rules the Rude Canyons to the south. He is a massive ape who thinks screaming loudly solves all his problems. He has been trying to conquer my territory for two hundred years, but my Hell-Hounds always chew up his monkeys."
"It seems he decided today is the perfect day to try again. He wants to challenge the new Emperor."
"Should I prepare the defensive barriers, my lord?" Snark asked, trembling nervously.
"Absolutely not. We do not hide behind walls. Snark, tell the Bone Giants to carry my grand throne out to the main battlefield. Place it right in front of the fortress gates."
Sirius blinked in surprise. "You want to sit outside the gates? During a full scale demonic siege?"
"I am the Emperor of the Chaos Order, Sirius. I do not stand in the mud with the foot soldiers. I want a comfortable seat to watch you lead your army. Consider this your first official test as my general."
Sirius smiled, looking both alluring and dangerous at once.
She bowed deeply, intentionally showing off her cleavage. freeweɓnovel.cøm
"I will not disappoint you, my handsome Emperor! I will paint the canyon with their blood just for you."
"See that you do. Now, bring me a glass of your finest soul-wine. I want to be relaxed when the show begins."
Thirty minutes later, the battlefield outside the Howling Keep was set.
The army of a million demons stood in perfect formation. At the very front of the army, right before the ruined iron gates, sat the massive throne of screaming silver faces. Adonis Kingsbane sat comfortably upon it, his legs crossed, holding a crystal goblet filled with glowing purple wine.
His chaotic violet aura radiated gently, providing a suffocating pressure that kept his entire army completely energized and absolutely terrifying.
Beside the throne stood Sirius. She held her pink soul-fire whip-sword in her right hand, her bat wings flared wide.
"They are coming into view, my Emperor," Sirius pointed toward the horizon.
Adonis took a slow sip of his wine. "I see them. They are very loud."
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
A massive tide of brown and black fur surged across the obsidian plains. Hundreds of thousands of Demonic Monkeys charged forward. They rode on the backs of giant, mutated boars and swung massive stone pillars as weapons.
At the head of the charging army was Demon King Uranos. He was a colossal, four-armed ape standing over forty feet tall. His dark fur was completely covered in thick iron armor, and he wielded a massive battleaxe that crackled with green lightning.
"Sirius! You treacherous, pathetic whore! How dare you surrender our realm to a mortal?" Uranos roared, his voice shaking the ground beneath their feet.
Sirius stepped forward, resting a hand on her hip. She magically amplified her voice to match his volume.
"He is not just a mortal, you furball!" Sirius yelled back cheerfully. "He is the absolute Emperor! And he is infinitely better looking than your ugly, flea-bitten face!"
Bang!
Uranos smashed his massive axe into the ground, sending a shockwave of green lightning rolling across the dirt.
"I will rip your wings off and feed them to my hounds! And then I will crush this so-called Emperor into a bloody paste! The Underworld belongs to the strong!"
Adonis did not stand up. He simply swirled the wine in his glass and looked up at the giant ape. His system interface flashed immediately.
[Target Analyzed: Demon King Uranos]
[Species: Abyssal Great Ape]
[Level: 85]
"Level 85? He is barely a warm-up exercise. Sirius, deal with his minions. I want to see your tactical formations."
"With absolute pleasure, my lord!" Sirius replied, saluting him with a flirtatious wink.
She turned to her massive army and raised her glowing whip-sword high into the air.
"First battalion, hold the center line! Bone Giants, step forward and brace for impact! Do not let those monkeys push you back a single inch!"
The towering Bone Giants roared in agreement, stomping to the front and locking their magma clubs together like a massive wall.
"Second battalion, release the Hell-Hounds! Flank them from the left side! Tear their mounts to pieces!"
Adonis watched the battlefield unfold with genuine interest.
"A solid tactic, Sirius. But your left flank is moving a little too far forward. The apes might encircle them."
"I placed my shadow-knights in the trenches exactly for that reason, my Emperor," Sirius explained, not taking her eyes off the approaching enemy.
"When the apes try to surround the hounds, the knights will impale them from below."
Adonis smiled.
"Very clever. You are proving to be quite a capable general. It makes you even more attractive."
Sirius blushed heavily, her wings fluttering in pure delight.
"Praise from you is the greatest reward I could ever ask for, Adonis."
Meanwhile.
"Kill them all!" Uranos commanded his army, pointing his giant axe forward.
The two massive demonic armies collided with a deafening crash. The sound of shattering bone, screaming demons, and clashing metal echoed through the entire 7th Firmament.
The Bone Giants held the center line perfectly. The Demonic Monkeys crashed into them like a wave of water hitting a brick wall. The Howling Keep army, entirely empowered by Adonis’s overwhelming Chaos aura, fought with a terrifying, absolute frenzy.
"Look at them run!" Sirius laughed, lashing her whip-sword and decapitating a stray monkey that got too close to the throne. "Your aura makes my soldiers completely unstoppable, Adonis!"
"I simply provide the motivation. They know what will happen if they embarrass me in front of guests." Adonis replied calmly.
Uranos watched his front line collapse from the back of the battlefield. His giant ape face twisted in absolute rage. He realized that fighting the empowered army was a completely losing battle. He needed to cut the head off the snake.
He locked his glowing yellow eyes directly onto the man sitting on the silver throne.
"Mortal!" Uranos roared with primal hatred. "You sit on a chair while others bleed for you? You are a coward! Face me yourself!"
Adonis slowly lowered his wine glass. He looked directly into the giant ape’s eyes.
"I am sitting down because you have not done anything worthy of making me stand up," Adonis stated clearly.
"Growlllll!"
Uranos completely lost his mind. He let out a furious, deafening shriek and bent his massive, muscular legs.
With a thunderous explosion of dirt and green lightning, the colossal Demon King leaped high into the red sky. He soared entirely over the chaotic battlefield, raising his massive battleaxe with all four of his arms.
He aimed directly for the silver throne, intending to cleave Adonis and the chair completely in half.
"My Emperor! He is coming right for you!" Snark screamed from the balcony.
"Do you want me to intercept him, Adonis?" Sirius asked, gripping her whip-sword tightly.
"No. Stand back, Sirius. He specifically asked for my attention. It would be incredibly rude of me to deny him."
Boooom!
Uranos descended from the sky like a green meteor. The sheer pressure of his falling weight cracked the obsidian floor around the throne before he even landed.
"Die, arrogant human!" Uranos bellowed, swinging the colossal axe down with earth-shattering force.
Adonis did not draw his great sword. He did not dodge. He did not even stand up from his throne.
He simply raised his right hand.
BAM!
The shockwave of pure kinetic force exploded outward. The dust instantly cleared, revealing a scene that completely froze the entire battlefield in absolute shock.
Adonis Kingsbane, a mortal man, was sitting casually on his throne. His right arm was extended upward. He had caught the blade of the massive, lightning-infused battleaxe with exactly two fingers.
Uranos suspended in mid-air, his yellow eyes bulging out of his skull. He pushed down with all four of his giant arms, his muscles bulging and veins popping, but the axe completely refused to move a single millimeter.
"Is this it? Is this all the strength a Demon King possesses? My newborn daughter kicks harder than this." Adonis said as if he was greatly disappointed.
"How is this possible?" Uranos gasped, spit flying from his fangs. "I am the King of the Jagged Canyons! I have the strength of ten thousand titans!"
"Your math is incredibly flawed," Adonis mocked.
Adonis flexed his two fingers.
Crack!
The ancient, legendary weapon completely shattered into a million pieces of worthless scrap metal.
"Uhhh"
Uranos lost his balance and crashed heavily onto the ground right in front of the throne. The giant ape scrambled backward, his eyes filled with absolute, primal terror.
"Level 99," Adonis stated calmly, finally standing up from his throne. "That is my current system level, Uranos. You are a level 85 ape swinging a heavy stick. You never even had a fraction of a chance."
"Stay away from me!" Uranos roared in panic.
Then he threw a massive, desperate punch directly at Adonis’s chest. freewёbnoνel.com
Adonis easily casually stepped to the left. The giant fist completely missed him, smashing into the empty ground.
"Your footwork is completely sloppy, ape. You rely entirely on brute force. You have absolutely no technique."
"Shut up!" Uranos screamed wildly, swinging his other three arms in a frantic flurry of punches.
Adonis dodged every single strike with microscopic movements. He weaved through the giant fists as if he was taking a casual stroll through a garden. He did not even bother to use his hands.
"And your temper makes you entirely predictable," Adonis added, shaking his head. "You are just throwing tantrums. It is genuinely embarrassing to watch."
"I will eat your heart!" Uranos screamed, his voice breaking with frustration. He opened his massive jaws, preparing to bite Adonis completely in half.
"You talk entirely too much," Adonis sighed.
Adonis channeled a dense concentration of Chaos ether into his right leg. He spun around and delivered a devastating roundhouse kick directly to the side of Uranos’s giant jaw.
CRAAAACK!
The impact sounded like a mountain cracking in half.
The colossal Demon King was lifted entirely off his feet. He flew sideways through the air, crashing violently into his own army of Demonic Monkeys.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
He rolled across the dirt, crushing hundreds of his own troops before finally coming to a dead stop.
The entire battlefield went completely silent. The Demonic Monkeys dropped their weapons in sheer disbelief. Their invincible king had just been swatted away like a bothersome fly by a man who had not even drawn his sword.
Uranos groaned in agony. His jaw was completely shattered. He slowly tried to push himself up on his remaining arms, coughing up glowing green blood.
