Chapter 247: Her Evil (II)

"I see you... anchor." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

She said, and White jerked back within the soul space, but all of a sudden, her hands grabbed the sides of Dark White’s head tightly as a single star within the nebula of crimson lights in her eyes glowed.

It was a sensation White couldn’t understand.

He felt himself being forcibly pulled away from his soul space, suddenly forced back in control of his body.

"There you are..."

She said.

White instantly moved to flash backward and escape her grasp, but all of that only happened in his head.

Her hold on his face, despite how gentle it seemed, felt inescapable.

With no choice, yet a need to escape, White moved forward instead, jumping upward as his right knee slammed toward her jaw from below.

It seemed to catch her by surprise, as her hand flashed into the path of his knee.

The moment knee and palm connected, a violent shock of pain shot through White’s body, forcing his teeth to grit.

It felt like a human slamming their knee into a mountain with every ounce of force they possessed.

The pain that followed was insane.

Still, his goal had been achieved.

His head was finally free from her grasp, and with that, he flashed backward, appearing at the far end of the throne room, over thirty meters away in a single instant.

"You’re more cautious and less trusting."

She said from the distance.

White’s eyes remained narrowed, though he couldn’t help but glance down at his own right knee, which trembled faintly.

His brows creased, looking at the notification,

[Health Points: -120!]

[Remaining Health Points: 2,880]

’But... I was the one who attacked her.’

[You’re hopelessly outmatched, White.]

[I can’t even properly detect her aura, let alone grasp her power, and there is nothing within my information bank that I can compare her to.]

[She’s... She’s... ERROR!]

The system flashed before abruptly shutting down.

And all of it did nothing but further unnerve White.

He turned back toward the woman, who remained standing with her arms folded, quietly staring at him.

’She’s a monster. An absolute monster.’

"I am interested in you."

She suddenly said, and White watched as her image suddenly began dissolving into motes of light.

His gaze instantly snapped toward the throne, and there he found her once again, her head held up by her right knuckles as she leaned forward quietly.

"How did you come across an Umbrawyr?"

She asked.

White could have denied her an answer, but he knew that would only create unnecessary tension and worsen the pressure that was already building in the throne room.

"A ruin."

He replied, curtly.

"What did it look like?"

She asked.

"I don’t know. I never went inside myself."

"Hmmm... tell me more."

And for the next three minutes, White explained things to her.

Starting from how he had found himself within the Supernaturals’ jet to Humanity Ascension deciding to fuse him with the Umbrawyr body.

He made sure not to mention anything else like Viktor’s help, and him having fused with the Aether Pulse Orb prior, but,

"You’re leaving out something important."

She suddenly said after he finished narrating.

"Leaving...out?"

White asked, feigning ignorance.

"What allowed a lower life hierarchy race to fuse with a Higher Life Being. The Aether Pulse Orb."

She said.

A quiet grin appeared at the corner of her lips as she noticed the brief flicker of surprise crossing his eyes.

"You’re quite fortunate. No ordinary mortal should be capable of surviving the fusion of the Aether Pulse. It’s a God Object, after all."

She claimed, and White couldn’t disagree.

He had only survived the fusion because of Viktor’s help, and in the process, Viktor himself had become so weakened that he was forced to return to the Otherworld.

What White did question, however, was her claim about the Aether Pulse Orb being a God Object.

Up until now, White was still stuck at the Lumen Realm, and he still had absolutely no idea what that even meant.

The Orb was claimed to be a god weapon, but it hadn’t exactly been of any particular use.

"Seeing the kind of person you are. I’ll go straight to the point."

White watched as she slowly sat upright upon her throne, and a terrifying aura of royalty descended across the room.

It was like a sudden switch.

From a woman...

To something so overwhelming that he felt he shouldn’t even be standing in its presence.

"We Umbrawyrs are ranked based on our affinity with Darkness. The one with the greatest affinity becomes the greatest Umbrawyr."

She explained.

"As of now, I possess the greatest affinity with Darkness and therefore rule over all Umbrawyrs."

"But just a few days ago, I sensed a peculiar darkness. One that only I myself should be capable of touching."

"And for that reason, I ordered for the one who possessed such darkness to be brought before me."

She said before slowly raising her right hand and pointing directly at him.

"You are the Umbrawyr with that darkness. A darkness that has placed you in the heirarchy of Umbrawyric Prince."

She declared.

And while it sounded like incredible news, White wasn’t smiling.

Her words implied many things.

She had clearly stated that the Umbrawyr with the greatest affinity for Darkness became their ruler.

She possessed the greatest affinity and therefore sat upon the throne as the Umbrawyric Queen.

But then she sensed him.

And not only sensed him, but acknowledged that he possessed a darkness only she herself should be able to access, making him an Umbrawyric Prince.

While her words did point to a possibility that he had become royalty and could spend the rest of his existence living in luxury.

It also references something far more dangerous.

He was the only Umbrawyr standing on the same hierarchy as her.

And that also meant he possessed the potential to one day become King of the Umbrawyrs and take her throne.

A throne she had ruled over for who knew how long.

That meant one thing: He was a threat to her authority.

A threat to her power.

And therefore...Something that should be erased!
