Chapter 1853: Overlord-level Shockwave

Bhaal and Avril had no intention of answering the Tenth Pharaoh’s question.

The Tenth Pharaoh quickly lost interest. A suffocating wave of necromantic energy began to spread from her, rolling outward across the battlefield.

Bathed in that dense, deathly aura, the Spider King let out a series of excited roars.

The smaller spiders behind it also stirred restlessly, though under the Pharaoh’s overwhelming presence, they did not dare make as much noise as their “parent”.

“Your Excellency, I have already reported the situation here to command,” came the voice of five-star federal general Saden through the communication device.

He continued, “If you can hold them off for 32,600 quantum hours, at least one Erebus-class battle fleet and an overlord-class mobile suit will arrive. By then, we will be able to surround and eliminate these two Magus Civilization overlords, along with all their forces in this star domain!”

“If you aren’t afraid of losing the fleet and that mobile suit, then come,” the Tenth Pharaoh said with a cold sneer.

The Amenkha Empire and the Gallant Federation were not true allies.

At best, they were simply using each other.

The Tenth Pharaoh had no interest in seeing the Gallant Federation defeat the Magus Civilization and turn the tide of the war.

Her true objective was to keep these two top-tier civilizations locked in a prolonged, exhausting struggle.

Besides, standing out too much on a battlefield like this was never a good thing.

If she really eliminated two Magus Civilization overlords, on top of the damage already dealt by the Fifth and Seventh Pharaohs, then a furious Magus Civilization might very well redirect its full force toward her.

“I’ve already tied down two Magus Civilization overlords and drawn a large number of their legions into this star domain. My part is done. What happens next is up to your Gallant Federation,” she said coldly.

“You can’t expect the Amenkha Empire to carry you forever.” She paused, a faint smile curling at her lips.

“That said... I’ll crush these two overlords and scatter the Magus Civilization forces gathering here before I leave. If I let two Rank Seven overlords walk away unscathed, and word gets out... I can already hear the laughter back home.”

The Tenth Pharaoh’s cold laugh made General Saden’s expression stiffen.

Standing inside his capital ship, he had no intention of defying a Rank Eight Pharaoh of the Amenkha Empire.

The Tenth Pharaoh kept her words.

As the Spider King unleashed a torrent of deathly silk and the Rhinoceros Beetle Monster King fired a beam of oppressive black energy, the Tenth Pharaoh moved.

Shrouded in overwhelming necromantic power, even the gray dress trailing to her feet seemed to merge with the surging tide of death behind her.

Her right hand shot forward, razor-sharp nails trailing ripples of death that could intimidate even a Rank Seven overlord.

Her first target was Bhaal.

The Rank Seven warlock gripped the Bloodline Furnace in his dragon claw, his transformed body radiating immense power. At a glance, he looked more than capable of holding his own.

Outside the Sea Melody World, the situation was no less chaotic.

The Amenkha Empire’s forces pouring in from all directions were not limited to soldiers, viziers, and monsters.

Even greater in number were the necromantic and umbra elemental summons flooding the battlefield!

As masters of negative energy, the Amenkha Empire excelled at creating and controlling such creatures.

Nearly every vizier and Pharaoh could summon and command the undead, while even ordinary soldiers were capable of calling forth three to five Dark Guards.

In most wars, however, these abilities were rarely used.

The Monster Legions alone were usually enough to crush any opposition.

But this expeditionary force, led by the Tenth Pharaoh, was relatively small in number. That was why they had resorted to deploying large numbers of summoned creatures and necromantic beasts.

A closer look revealed that many of these undead had once been native to the Mordora Star Domain, or had been raised from the fallen ranks of the Magus Civilization itself.

As they gathered, they formed a churning tide of death that seemed to number in the hundreds of millions.

With Amenkha Empire powerhouses scattered throughout their ranks, the pressure on Sein and his forces was immense from the very beginning.

Following Feylis’ orders, Sein quickly rallied the nearby troops and began leading a breakout.

Fermera was the first to reach Sein, with Yuri close behind in the Burning Flame Unit.

Sein directed Reina and Sia to use the space fortress as a mobile stronghold and push through the encirclement.

On a chaotic battlefield like this, a space fortress was more than just a war machine—it provided crucial cover and overwhelming firepower.

Large numbers of lower-ranking knights and mages had already gathered around it.

Losing a space fortress here would be a heavy blow, even for a law-wielding powerhouse.

Aside from Fermera and the Burning Flame Unit, the next to regroup with Sein were Tourmaline and Mel.

At some point, Tourmaline had already reverted to her dragon turtle form.

Mel, meanwhile, had transformed into a violet-golden dragon, unleashing a steady stream of flames.

However, she was noticeably smaller than Tourmaline.

It was no surprise that she had acknowledged Tourmaline as her big sister the moment they met.

Tourmaline possessed immense strength and a massive body, but speed was clearly her weakness.

While signaling for her to move closer, Sein fought to carve a path through the surging tide of death ahead.

After killing a Rank Five vizier earlier, he had already drawn the attention of several Amenkha Empire powerhouses.

At the same time, Fermera’s overwhelming combat strength had attracted a Rank Six vizier sent specifically to deal with her.

From the very start, Sein’s group was under immense pressure.

Yet their greatest threat did not come from the enemies directly in front of them.

It came from the terrifying shockwaves of overlord-level combat erupting from the depths of the star domain.

The Mordora Star Domain was smaller than the Trimmis Star Domain Sein and the others had originally planned to attack.

With multiple overlords, including a Rank Eight being like the Tenth Pharaoh, clashing within this medium-sized star domain, it was inevitable that their power would spill over into the surrounding battlefield.

Compared to the subspace battlefield, where Sein had once observed overlord clashes from a relatively safe distance, this was on an entirely different level!

Whoosh!

A streak of blue-violet law energy tore through the battlefield ahead.

A Magus Civilization space fortress failed to evade in time and was instantly split in half.

The explosion that followed shook the void, leaving a massive space-time rift in its wake.

Even though Sein was not hit directly, the sheer force of it still shocked him.

With overlord-level power constantly spilling out from the center of the Mordora Star Domain, the entire battlefield had become a death trap.

And this was only the outer edge. One could only imagine how much worse it was at the core.

“Move! We break through that way!”

Sein patted Tourmaline’s horn and pointed toward the direction where Feylis and the others were positioned.
