Chapter 944: Chapter 338 - Second Innate Awakening Completed

Ree Shil mainly wanted to enhance his summoning card group.

As his third main card group, it was still far from being as strong as his all A-level Kung Fu Deck and Sword Card Deck.

"I’ve had this card for quite a while, how can I strengthen it?"

First, he pulled out the [Double-headed Captain].

The current [Double-headed Captain] relied on summoned creatures to increase its combat power.

But now, its operation or tactics had some awkward points.

That is, each summon took up one action round.

For the 30-point [Double-headed Captain], that meant wasting 30 points of DPS opportunity.

In exchange, it brought a 10-point DPS [Trainee Soldier] and 5-point [Treatment] for itself after attacking.

Each [Trainee Soldier] also provided a 5-point attack boost to the [Double-headed Captain].

So, when there was one Trainee Soldier on the field, if it continued to summon, the Captain would waste a 35-point DPS opportunity.

However, the two [Trainee Soldiers] could also provide 20 points of DPS.

This was a maths problem of gain and loss. Only when there was a certain number of [Trainee Soldiers] on the field, the existence of these soldiers could offset the waste of DPS caused by the [Double-headed Captain] releasing summons.

So, the question was, first, it would take until the mid-to-late game for that many spaces to be available for random summons, and second, could the [Double-headed Captain] hold on until he had his summoning army formed?

"So, what’s the best way to compensate for this card..."

After thinking for a moment, Ree Shil had an idea.

"Please help me find A-rank fierce soldier summoning material cards."

[OK, please wait]

His conditions were already quite refined, especially the keyword "soldier summoning", which narrowed down the range considerably.

So three options appeared in front of him right away.

[Rallying Horn]: High probability of increasing the level of corresponding summon

A-rank, 1500 points.

[Tactical instruction manual]: A chance to enhance the corresponding card’s summoning ability

A-rank, 300 points.

[Bulk excellent equipment]: Low probability of upgrading the corresponding level 2 card panel

A-rank, 150 points.

"A high probability is really expensive.

It looks like only the [Tactical Instruction Manual] would fit my idea.

Well, I’ll borrow them all, and have a look."

He couldn’t say for sure before previewing.

So he simply borrowed all three cards at once.

As long as the total price of the borrowed items does not exceed the available points, they can be borrowed at the same time.

Although it’s unlikely, if there happens to be any damage, just directly deduct the points.

"No wonder it’s a low probability, they’re almost all explosion cards." freēwēbηovel.c૦m

After predicting the first [Bulk excellent equipment] card, he rubbed his nose bridge.

This explosion card was not only incompatible with [Double-headed Captain], it could not fuse with other cards either.

Now, let’s take a look at the second [Tactical Instruction Manual].

[Double-headed Captain] + [Tactical Instruction Manual] = [Double-headed Captain]

One new entry was added.

[Double-headed Captain]

Berserk, 30 points, A

Attack 30, 80/100

[Captain - Passive]: Double-headed Captain’s attack power is +5 for each summoned card it owns

[Sense of Accomplishment - Passive]: Double-headed Captain’s summoned cards can gain 5 points of healing each time they attack

[Tactical Literacy]: Double-headed Captain’s HP -20, during reveal round allows for an extra [New Recruits Gathering]

[New Recruits Gathering - 10 HP]: Double-headed Captain issues a rallying command, summoning a [Trainee Soldier] in one card position

[Trainee Soldier]

Berserk, 10 points, A

Attack 10, 10/10

"Oh wow, this isn’t bad at all.

First of all, it only deducts health points, not the maximum life value.

That means it can be healed later on.

Trading 20 HP for an additional early round of [New Recruits Gathering], sounds good.

Though it does require a big heal, since using [New Recruits Gathering] twice still consumes 20 more HP.

So upon revealing the card, it starts with 60/100 HP.

During the reveal round, the new soldiers deal 10+10=20 points of DPS.

In the next round, the Captain himself deals 40+10+10=60 points of DPS.

Averaging the two rounds, it can deal 40 points of DPS, which is pretty good.

At least it allows the [Double-headed Captain] to have a stable DPS output of over 30 points."

After previewing this result, Ree Shil was pretty much decided.

He didn’t even really want to look at the material card worth 1500 points.

However, just in case, he checked it out anyway.

"High probability is indeed high probability, successful fusion."

"However, this material card’s improvement direction is a bit weird. It’s a rare type."

"The [Double-headed Captain]’s grade remains B."

However, [Trainee Soldier] has changed from 10 attack points and 10 health points to 15 attack points and 30 health points.

And the consumption of [New Recruits Gathering] increased from 10 HP to 30 HP.

The key is that [Trainee Soldiers] cannot block attacks, as they are minion level.

So, raising their HP to 30 doesn’t seem to make much difference."

While witnessing this result, Ree Shil felt much more relieved."

After all, he didn’t want to spend 1500 points on the [Double-headed Captain]."

So, with 300 points paid, he got the [Tactical Instruction Manual].
