Chapter 333: Chapter 125: Autumn Arrives_3
"There’s another version of the mission."
Andrew Hill held up a sign.
It wasn’t until his reminder that Ree Shil realised the [This Instance Mission Introduction] could be flipped over.
You are a young Wooden Demon Clan boy that aims to travel the world, but unfortunately, you got lost and wandered into the lair of the Demon Monsters.
Can you escape alive?
There was a specific point mentioned below the summary.
[Stage 1 Mission, Survive]
"Oh, is this their version of the mission?"
"But honestly, even without disguises, the three of them already look a lot like Wood Demons."
Ree Shil and Andrew Hill discussed for a bit, then drew a conclusion.
The mission for this instance might be divided into two plotlines.
Upon reopening the map, there were still three points.
"It seems Slame performed well this time, lasting more than 10 minutes."
Ree Shil praised.
Generally speaking, at the current stage, he thought they should split up. Maybe if they continued with their separate quest chains, they would eventually meet up.
For now, it’s certain that a Straw Man from the other side will survive.
"So what should we do now?"
Andrew Hill raised his sign.
"Let’s go into the village and find out more," said Ree Shil.
"But before that..."
Ree Shil thought a bit, then took out his[Iron stick] to equip it.
Immediately, he felt a surge of strength all over his body.
After becoming a B-Rank Card, the[Iron stick]provided even more physical enhancements.
He felt like even a Straw Man might not be a match for him with this weapon at his waist.
Seeing Ree Shil draw out his gear, Andrew Hill mimicked him and fumbled around as well.
However, it was all done inside his doll costume, so you couldn’t see exactly what he had equipped.
"Let’s call another bodyguard," added Ree Shil.
He then took out the[Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit]card.
He put it on the ground and controlled it through the panel.
Buzz!
The projection of the Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit was cast at a 1:1 human scale.
Then, the card face gradually dissipated, while the projection slowly materialised.
In just a few seconds, it stood in front of Ree Shil. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
[Baa~]
It held a foldable nunchaku and bowed respectfully in a kung fu salute.
"Not bad at all."
Ree Shil evaluated the creature in front of him.
This was his first time using the[Kung Fu Sheep Rabbit]as a follower card.
Since this card isn’t very suitable for PVE games as its two features are all geared towards PVP, it’s better to use it as a follower and ensure his safety.
Follower cards don’t have instance power to help disguise them, so if they summon a follower that is incompatible with this world, they might be recognised as celestial visitors by those in the know.
But the Sheep Rabbit is different- with its qipao, sheep horns, and rabbit ears, all these features align nicely with the world and characteristics of the demon clan.
Add to that the pair of nunchaku made from [Wicked Demon Dragon Bones], it truly resembles a powerful demon clan member.
This instance allowed for two uses of follower cards.
They’ll keep the other chance in reserve, as they might still have to call out the [Zombie Beast Hound] when necessary.
Andrew Hill thought for a moment before summoning his own follower card.
It was a huge goose that, when it stretched its neck, was as tall as them.
There was a touch of purple in the goose’s eyes that was hard to distinguish unless you looked closely.
A goose with such a large frame was clearly not an ordinary animal, so it must be seen as a demon beast.
"You drew this card? You’re really lucky," Ree Shil identified it at first glance.
He’d seen this card in the pool during the last instance.
The [Half-Evil Big Goose] was more of a healing type.
He didn’t choose it at the time as it wasn’t what he had in mind.
However, since it’s a C-Rank Card, it’s definitely suited to be a follower.
After doing all this, Andrew Hill finally put on a pair of sunglasses inside his doll costume.
It was specially made for him after they left the last Instance and it allows him to instantly recognize members of the Right Heart Sect.
But Ree Shil was skeptical about the vision of this unknown species creature. Wearing a doll costume and sunglasses, could it really see clearly?
The next second, he saw Andrew Hill take out a thin Foldable stick and tap it on the ground as he walked.
Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap!
[Goose! Goose! Goose! Goose!]
The white Big Goose lead the way. If you didn’t know better, you’d think Andrew Hill was herding geese. Those in the know would think it was a guide goose.
"Maybe we can take it off for now," Ree Shil felt his forehead breaking into a sweat.
Wouldn’t it be better to put them on only when they run into suspicious people? What a weirdo.
"Alright, let’s go," Ree Shil urged him to hurry, seeing Andrew Hill revert to his original behaviour.
No one had come to challenge him until the moment he entered the instance.
That means if a Challenge Player happens to go to the Showcase Club right now, they still had almost 9 days to stall.
Converted into the timeline here, that’s 90 days, or three months.
He hopes to complete the main quest and series of missions within these three months.
Upon entering the village, it was just as strange as described in the mission.
The first peculiar thing was the vegetation here.
Vegetation around them at the instance launching point was green and full of life.
But all the plants visible in the village were withered and yellow.
Observing the few villagers passing by, they looked somewhat similar to the Wood Swordson of the Wooden Spirit Clan he had met earlier.
Their skin was like tree bark, with sprout-like antlers growing from their heads.
Similarly, these villagers looked weak and sickly, with dry bark-like skin and yellow, withered leaves on their bodies.
The overall atmosphere seemed devoid of vitality.
"How about it, do you have any sense of what might be going here?"
Ree Shil turned to ask Andrew Hill.
Unlike humans, some foreign races have extra sensitivity in certain areas.
So, he wanted to know if Andrew Hill had sensed anything he himself couldn’t detect.
At this point, he saw thinking Andrew start to write a few words and hold up the sign.
Andrew Hill: "Has Autumn arrived?"
Ree Shil: "..."
