Chapter 292: Rebirth of the Destroyer: The God Killer

Leon leaned close to her and folded his arms on his chest. "Tell me."

"Min-ji resigned and left the mansion. So it was just your mother, your sister, Min-seo, and I." Zoe paused and exhaled sharply.

"It’s hard, but I have to tell you the truth." She brushed her palms on her face, then shifted half her gaze to Leon. "The gas that made them this way is one of ours. It is one of the products the Qings have been working on for years. But..."

Leon uncrossed his arms. He placed his right palm on Zoe’s shoulder and shook his head. After shifting a calm gaze to the machinery around Li Mei’s bed, he blinked once. "I now know why Darian screamed at me from the fast-moving BMW."

The red-gold cloth flapped against the chest plate of the gold war suit as Leon turned toward the room’s exit.

Zoe stood frozen with wide eyes and a parted mouth, watching his silhouette vanish from sight.

She lowered her gaze to the window stool and shook her head. "I’m sorry, Darian. You called this upon yourself."

...

Heat plummeted through the walls of the VIP floor as Leon stopped in front of the door to Room 514.

The single yellow duckling sock on Lily’s leg caught his attention. He turned and looked straight at the bed.

A sharp grinding sound echoed from him while he tightened his teeth. The sleeves of the war suit expanded as his veins appeared on his arms.

He walked into the room and knelt beside the bed. He grabbed Lily’s right arm, placed it on his forehead, and closed his eyes.

The curtains covering the window behind him frayed upward, landing on his shoulder like a human hand.

Chills ran down his spine, causing his dual heart to pump with heat. The moment he cracked his eyes open, he saw Lily in five different glows: gold, red, blue, grey, and black.

Two soft tears trailed down his cheeks as he leaned forward to press a kiss to her forehead.

The glass sill cracked as a chickadee slammed against it. Leon turned to focus on the fracture. Two hawks with black glowing eyes hovered where the bird had been, flapping their wings sharply.

The hawks’ cries seeped into the tiny hole at the center of the spiderweb cracks, filling the room as Leon exited.

As the moon’s rays fell across the room, faint evaporated air drifted up from the bars of the bed where his palms had left burnt marks.

...

The nurses, discharged patients, and visitors all moved aside to watch Leon walk through the hallway.

Leon slowed his steps upon seeing Feng exit the washroom while holding a black cloth.

"Leon." Feng called in a soft voice and moved a step forward. "Go give justice to those that deserve it."

Leon blinked once and nodded before walking out of sight. freewebnøvel.coɱ

Doctor Mike approached Feng with a confused expression. He started to question the man but stopped when he saw a faint flickering red light forming in Feng’s eyes.

Just as both men shifted their gazes toward the hospital entrance, Doctor Mike’s warmth died, yet Feng smiled.

Before the onlookers—including the nurses and children who kept their gazes locked on Leon—a bright gold light materialized around him. He leaped into the air like a jet.

The cemented ground he launched from pulsed like lava, venting hot air.

Pedestrians and moving vehicles stopped to watch the human fly through the sky like a shooting star.

At the top floor of an expensive hostel closer to the hospital, a clicking sound echoed as Vera walked toward her glass walls.

A grim grin tore across her face when she saw the flying figure wreathed in gold fire. "It’s time to let him pay for shredding my glorious human body on the 11th Alchemania."

Black glow seeped out of her. Her vision expanded, granting her a clear view of Leon’s face and the red-gold cloth flapping behind him.

The furniture, wall television, and ceiling lights of Cella Casa Room 1000 trembled under her soul-sucking power.

Sharp yellow threads erupted from her like tentacles, slamming into the walls and shattering everything they touched. freёwebnoѵel.com

...

The dark sky above the Storm mansion burned with gold light as Leon stopped and hovered above it.

Dead leaves drifted toward him while the fountain’s pool boiled as he lowered himself to the ground.

His gold war suit reflected in the shattered glass walls as he stepped into the mansion.

The walls of the building rippled as he walked toward the sitting room and sat on the ground, directly in front of the ashes of the wheelchair.

He kowtowed three times and positioned himself on his knees. For two minutes, he remained extremely quiet, listening to the moving air and the faint creaking of glass.

His footprint in front of the fountain burned as lightning began dancing in the sky. A red-hot bolt fell like a star, slamming directly into his footprint. A concussive wave blasted outward, wiping every tree from the Storm mansion grounds.

The moment the wave reached Leon, time froze. His eyes remained closed, but deep within his head, he saw himself standing in front of the locked Yrendal gate.

A loud wave of undiluted air slammed him against the giant gate. As he pushed himself up, he saw the black-robed version of himself standing at a distance with open arms.

With every step the figure took, the ground crumbled and split. A sharp jagged crown materialized on its head as it stopped before Leon.

The black robe fluttered behind the figure like a cape as it stretched a hand toward Leon. "Let me help you."

Leon hesitated but forcefully stretched his hand forward, remembering the state in which Li Mei and Lily lay at the hospital.

...

The red-gold cloth wrapped around Leon’s neck slid from his body as he rose from his kneeling posture.

Just as his feet left the ground, the black glow in his eyes moved across his skin like ants, transforming the golden war suit into black.

Inside Li Mei’s room, a Hi-no-Kami rose from the bedside and dashed out like a streak of light.

The golden drift shield blackened as it followed. On the bed, the folded black cloth hummed for a minute before snaking through the air.

The Hi-no-Kami, the drift shield, and the black cloth circled around the floating Leon while the sky outside the mansion screamed under blasting lightning.

The moment Leon’s eyes cracked open, the black cloth wrapped around his neck like a cape, while the drift shield rested at his side like a lantern.

Part of the red-gold cloth tore and wrapped around the hilt of the Hi-no-Kami before it finally rested on Leon’s back.

In a blur, all the light in the mansions surrounding the Storm mansion died as Leon stepped out and shifted his gaze to the rumbling skies.
