Chapter 491: Chapter 491: You... Should Divorce Little Uncle!

Evelyn felt embarrassed just thinking about it.

How could a man like Logan possibly have feelings for her?

After hesitating for a moment, Evelyn pressed the call button.

"Evelyn, the concert tickets are on pre-sale now. I’ve set aside four tickets for you and Cecilia. When you guys are free, I’d like to treat you both to a meal, and also give you the tickets," Logan said softly.

After a pause, he added, "You can also bring your partners along to the meal."

"The tickets are on sale!" Evelyn’s eyes lit up. "I’ll call Cece and see when she’s free. I’ll get back to you!"

With that, Evelyn hung up and immediately dialed Cecilia.

Meanwhile, Cecilia was drinking alone at home.

Today, she secretly followed Julian.

She found out that Julian was indeed going from one company to another looking for a job, each time returning disappointed.

Yet, when he was with her, he didn’t show any signs of disappointment.

She was the one who had hurt Julian.

He, who once lived a life of privilege, was dragged down by her, becoming someone discriminated against.

Cecilia couldn’t help but ask herself: Is her persistence in this relationship still right?

Seeing Evelyn’s call, Cecilia closed her eyes, unwilling to answer.

She didn’t know what to do about Julian.

Similarly, she didn’t know what to do about Evelyn.

Cecilia was worried, worried that her resolve wasn’t strong enough, worried that she might actually end up doing something that would hurt Evelyn.

The only thing she could do was to reduce contact with Evelyn.

That way, perhaps she wouldn’t remember that she actually had a shortcut in Evelyn.

However, the phone kept ringing.

Sniffling, Cecilia pressed the call button without speaking.

"Cece, what are you doing? It took you so long to answer!" Evelyn said unhappily. "Logan’s concert tickets are ready. When are you free so we can get them together? There are four tickets! Your uncle and Julian can come too!"

"I’m not going," Cecilia’s voice was very soft. "I’ll call Logan later to apologize."

"What’s wrong?" Evelyn frowned. "Cece, did something happen? You don’t sound well."

"Evelyn." Cecilia tightened her grip on the phone. "I’m only going to warn you once, from now on, no matter what happens to me, don’t appear in front of me. Otherwise, I’m afraid I won’t be able to control myself and will end up doing something that will hurt you."

"How could that be?" Evelyn didn’t believe it. "In this world, anyone can make me sad, but you never would!"

Listening to Evelyn’s words, Cecilia’s heart ached even more.

"Do as I say." Cecilia raised her voice. "Don’t come near me, and don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine, understand?"

"How can I not worry about you?" Evelyn also raised her voice. "You’re my best friend, and even though we’re not related by blood, we’re already like sisters!"

"Evelyn, just do as I say..."

"Besides, you saved my life!" Evelyn interrupted Cecilia. "Remember? We were working part-time at the Drifting Valley, and I lost my footing and fell into the rapids. You risked everything to jump in and save me, that’s how I survived!"

"That’s all in the past!" Cecilia shouted angrily. "I can’t be good to you for a lifetime!"

"Well, I will remember this gratitude for a lifetime!" Evelyn said anxiously.

She didn’t know what had happened to Cecilia, but she certainly couldn’t stand by and do nothing!

"How will you remember?" Cecilia shouted, her emotions easily ignited. "If I ask you to divorce Caden, only then can I be with Julian, would you do it?"
